The best restaurants serving British food in Adur South East

First visit to Papachino's for lunch today. it won't be the last! I found the food far outdoes most of the ones I've been to in Southwick & Shoreham. Fresh, tasty, good quality and well presented. + free parking!The cafe is in the community centre, which is next to a lovely children's play area and a big play field. It's very clean and has outside seating for when the sun shines. this community centre is very lucky.Papachino's could definitely hold its own on any busy high street.Look forward to my next visit.

A great find.....open 6am to 2pm ......nice and bright clean and airey. Good choice of food and beverages at reasonable prices. Staff friendly and cheerful with plenty of tables or comfortable seating I would not hesitate to recommend and revisit.

Excellent independent back street coffee + lunch place. Lovely home baked cake as well.

1st time visiting this Cafe because I was getting tyres done at Kwik Fit opposite. This place is very clean and lots of seatings. I often drove pass and always noticed there are always customers in there, it says alot about this Cafe. I had bacon and egg sandwich and black coffee, all good and not greasy. And it came with a few French fries, very nice little touch. Staff and owners were very friendly and polite, and made you feel very welcomed. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

We called in for lunch in the fabulous art deco building and there was a great lively atmosphere with excellent service. It was fun watching the planes and helicopters take off and land while being served tasty food.

Food is great, beer is brilliant, service is lovely and friendly and the atmosphere is buzzing. I love a trip to the Tap House! We booked for 7.15pm on a Friday evening and lots was already sold out from the menu. Only one special on the specials board. The guy with the top knot serving strangely tried to get us to order less food…for three people which included two big hungry men who had been out all day…stating that they didn’t like food waste….we finished everything that we ordered so no issues but it was an odd encounter. Otherwise the guy was pleasant and friendly. The younger lad behind the bar and the blonde lady serving were stand out though and saved me a mussles! Thank you!

This was a favourite for breakfast, great food and coffees and a little courtyard to sit out the back. Sadly it closed and hasn't been replaced with the same sort of food place.

Not been for a while but my companion suggested we visit as they had done so a week ago. I had the medium breakfast and my friend had the large. The service was excellent and coffee first then minutes later the breakfast! Mine was very filling and tasty. I do not think I would have managed the large! All in all a great visit and the food was great value. Will return!

Perfect, could not have been better. Massive portions and great quality, piping hot delivery and speedy service. 5/5!

Had the pleasure to go twice to this steakhouse in Lancing. Both times greeted by the manager who was very informative of the different choices of menus.(Sian) went once at lunchtime and had a lovely two course meal for £16:95. My partner couldn’t get over the size of the Tomahawk pork chop, it was juicy and tasty throughout. For desserts we indulged in the coffee and a mini desserts. Thoroughly good value. The same experience 10 days later but off the à la carte menu, a delicious Merlot to go with our beautiful tender steaks.

They no longer serve food. Warm and comfortable seating but staff are rather remote. Not cheap, neither a wine bar nor a pub.

Extremely expensive but all Truffles are, the staff here are so rude! Not a regular customer but at least 3 times I've now been here and as I've walked in they were busy slagging off the previous customer. They are short and rude when talking to people, almost seems an inconvenience to have people in thier shop. I don't understand how they are all like it! It must be due to whoever is doing the hiring.

We had a great meal here. The staff were so friendly and helpful, helping to seat us at a table. We are more than happy to recommend Rope Tackle. Ticks given for service ✅️ portion sizes ✅️ drinks ✅️ pricing ✅️ facilities ✅️ cleanliness ✅️

Tried to go two times now and they haven't been serving food as the woman apparently didn't turn up. It's a big disappointment and has made me unsure about trying to go here again
