The Coffee Lounge in Adur

Not a good place for the less mobile. Not been for a while and current staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Seating impossible, too low. Food, when it arrives, good.

Excellent coffee made with great skill. We have visited many times and never been disappointed. In summer it is especially pleasant to sit in the rear terraced area. The selection of sweet meats is great.

Ordered a tuna melt panini with my tea, order atill hadn't appeared 20 minutes later, so I asked if it was coming, I was told they had forgotten about it and they would make it straight away, 10 minutes later it still hadn't appeared and I was told it would just be a couple of minutes, I had to be somewhere so after 5 minutes I said that I would need it to take away, then minutes later I approached them and said that I had to leave, I was already late leaving and said that It would be 2 minutes, the girl slowly walked out the kitchen after being told where it was going, and took her time walking to me to give me the panini and slowly handed it over saying sorry... I don't understand how it can take 20 minutes to make a panini! Clearly customers do not matter to this cafe as it took a good few minutes after going in to be acknowledged, forgetting about my order, then taking their time with it. The food was average, if you choose to risk this place then set aside a good few hours for their slow service if you sre lucky enough to be remembered. I will not be returning and will find somewhere that they actually care about their customers!

Staff are friendly and the food including cakes and coffee are great.. Being a local i find it really the only place in Lancing to get a decent coffee,

Great coffee & variety of food on offer. Staff lovely & helpful. Dog friendly & patio at the back very well designed with a covered area. Real sun trap & peaceful. Will definitely visit again.

We've been so pleased to get our (almost daily) takeaway coffee and cake from Tinu and team during this last year. Thanks very much for this hint of normality during a very abnormal time.

The food is good, the staff are excellent and the coffee is superb! Outside of lockdowns, there is also a garden area!

Picked on basis of previous reviews as somewhere to have a light lunch and kill some time whilst waiting for a new windscreen at Autoglass. Excellent choice as small pleasant garden at the back to enjoy a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich on fresh bread with black pepper. Five stars for an excellent coffee/tea shop visit

The staff and customers always friendly, like walking into a welcoming homely lounge. Nice background music. I must say the Coffee is excellent, best around and prepared with the attention it deserves. Great place to rest & unwind.

Excellent service and great coffee food is great minimal for hot food plenty of cakes to choose from, the coffee is amazing and ready for the warm days they have extended the outdoor area it's great

Have lived in Lancing for many years but never been inside as usually walking the dog. So happy we dropped in last week as the coffee was delicious and it was sunny so we were able to sit outside. The staff were friendly and the place was busy. Looking forward to returning for some food soon.

Family down from Blackpool, sunny day, wanted to meet for lunch, opted for here, lovely outside area with canopy if needed, little suntrap, coffee and cake, lovely, and competitive in the price too

Lovely outdoor seating area, popped in after school with kids and other mums for coffee ended up getting milkshake as they looked so good...... they didn’t disappoint and will def visit again I didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but overall I think it’s worth a visit

Been here a few times for the excellent and refreshing smoothies. Had a chicken tiika wrap today which was so tasty. Good coffee too.

I come here often for coffee and a sandwich for my friends. The interior is lovely and clean and the staff are always very friendly and sometimes remember me. Definitely the best coffee shop in Lancing. Great nachos too!

Clearly very popular with locals who use it as a meeting place. Manageable with sticks but not wheelchairs. Excellent for light snacks but not main meals.

This was our first visit after seeing lots of good reviews on Facebook. We weren’t disappointed. Lovely friendly people who seem to get a lot of regulars and know them well. Good prices, lovely coffee and steaming hot tasty paninis! 😊

The cakes and the milkshakes are amazing would recommend going there it is usually quite busy but it’s nearly Christmas Eve so expecting for it to be busy but apart from that it’s great place if you want to go somewhere quiet

I visit this coffee lounge at least once week, best coffee in town, relaxing atmosphere, and reasonable cost, varied venue, love it

The Coffee Lounge was recommended by my Aunt Joan who goes there quite often. We were meeting as a family, cousins which I had never met. We started off in the spacious garden, the service from the staff was amazing so were the hot drinks and cakes. We went back inside and had lunch, which was amazing. Sevice and value were great. A lovely place to visit.

Staff friendly and welcoming and now they have a back patio for dogs and kids. Very Nice. Get the loo sorted Gino and Ill give you another star. Great range of sandwiches and paninnis

This coffee shop is an absolute little gem. Run and owned by perhaps the nicest man in the world, Tino it's an absolute treasure every time I go, which is a lot. They have a wide range of hot drinks including many little 'Shots' which you can add it to your coffee as well as a vast array of fizzy drinks and milkshakes.

Been here several times for a takeaway coffee before getting the train, as it opens early, which is a real plus. The guy who runs the place is always really friendly and professional. It has taken me a little while to pay attention to the prices, and although most reviews say they are reasonable, I have to disagree. I bought a takeaway Flat White and paid £2.60 - it was nice, but not a perfect Flat White (coffee snob). I then headed up to London, got an amazing Flat White from Pret a Manger to drink in, and only paid £2.45. I just can't see how a cafe in Lancing should be charging service station prices for their (OK) coffee.

We don't visit here often, mainly pop in before getting the train to London on a weekend but the owner is a wonderful and friendly chap and makes a great cup of coffee and at a great price. Always seems busy and has a very good customer rapport.

We have visited the coffee lounge quite a few times now. The milkshake menu is filled with many flavours!! The two most popular milkshakes seem to be Ferrero Rocher & Oreo!. I have had a hot chocolate there before, very nice you can also pick up a loyalty card, collect so many stamps to receive a free drink. This only applies to hot drinks.The sandwiches are good too. Good seating areas inside and out. They do charge 50p whenever you make a card payment so always make sure you have some cash on you. Otherwise would recommend this cafe.

I don't live in Lancing but love to pop in here if I'm over that way. The last visit I was on my own, I felt welcomed and completely comfortable. Coffee is very good and it's a lovely place to relax.

I last reviewed this before Perch was opened and can say that this is still the best coffee in Lancing also with the best service in Lancing. Great sandwiches. Maybe it doesn't have the ambience of a beach location but for where it is it is a great cafe.

I first discovered The coffee lounge in 2013 on a visit to Lancing. Sarah and Tinu made us feel so welcome. On my return visit this July they were still as welcoming and the coffee and treats were even better than I remembered if that's possible! This is a lovely cozy gem in the middle of Lancing..very near to the train and shopping. Staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I recommend this coffee shop to everyone whether you are in a rush for the train or having a leisurely break.

Always a warm welcome, cosy seating and most importantly a perfect sandwich every time - yum. My friend and I try to get together at least once a week (have been coming here since July last year) and are really impressed by their sandwiches, all washed down with a coffee. Garden out the back too for the warmer weather.

Have been here many times and are always made most welcome. The drinks are varied and great tasting from the smoothies and milk shakes to the various flavoured coffees. The owner and all the staff are lovely. Will definitely go again

As I live in Lancing, I use the Coffee Lounge a lot, either on my own or for meeting up with friends. The atmosphere is really relaxing and friendly. You can have home made cake with a morning coffee or sandwiches etc are lovely for lunch. If I'm on my own, there are always daily papers to read. The proprietor and staff are all so friendly and make you feel really welcome.

forget cafe nero starbucks and all those run of the mill cafes, try the coffe lounge out,it was recommended to us by our childrens playschool teacher and what a recommendation the staff are friendly polit and always willing to spend time and have a friendly chat. the coffee is great and cakes well lets say ive put on a few pounds, the music really is relaxing to sit back and listen too and just watch the world go by.

Popped in for a coffee as was on a half day from work, took my good lady in.As said, I had a medium latte and my good lady had a tea. Both for £4.10, so a good price.Both tasted lovely and the staff were welcoming and happy.Recommended!

Popped in for a coffee for the first time while going through lancing. Good coffee and bacon sandwich and friendly staff. Really good prices compared to the larger coffee chains. Worth a look if you fancy a coffee and a bit of cake!!

It is good to have a more upmarket coffee shop to relax in in Lancing that serves the best coffee I have had in a very long time. The range of cakes and sandwiches are good and service always excellent.

We had panini and lattè for lunch yesterday. Both were delicious! ! As so many people have already said, the friendly guy behind the counter certainly knows how to make a good cup of coffee. We liked the decor, the music, and the fact that, looking round, everyone seemed so 'at home' and comfortable. We won't leave next time without sampling one of their yummy looking cakes!!! From what we've seen and tasted so far, the Coffee Lounge richly deserves all the lovely things people have said about it! ;)

I've lived in this part of the world on and off since 1967 and have only discovered The Coffee Lounge recently. As someone else said the staff are pleasant and polite. Service is excellent and the coffee is some of the best I've had at very reasonable prices. It is a very popular place with very comfortable seats, arm chairs and sofas. This will now be a regular visit for me. The toilet was spotless! Well done!

I have visited the coffee lounge on more than a few occasions. It is a friendly and relaxed and a great addition to our town. It is well run and you always get a friendly welcome. Fantastic.

This is one of my regular haunts with great coffee, great service and super filled bagels. Arguably the best coffee house in Lancing.

Tino and all the staff are just lovely here. There is a wide choice in drinks and all made quickly. My children love the freshly made smoothies and milkshakes too. I love that you can also sit outside in the garden. This is definitely not a 'caff' and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Always friendly and welcoming here. A regular meeting point for friends, especially when the weather is chilly. Although a lovely seating area outside to enjoy a sunny day too.

Spent a lovely 2 hours there today, coffee and smoothies were lovely. Really nicely decorated. Only slight problem was lack of baby changing for my friends son so we had to leave! Will definitely be going again.

What a super coffee place this is. You ALWAYS are greeted with a smile and such politeness from the gentleman behind the serving bar. Polite chatter as you order, without being intrusive. A great place to meet with friends to catch up and chat. A nice range of coffees as well and a fab range of tea to chose from, then there are the cakes, yummy. You can sit inside, out the fron on the road side or out the back in an outside area. Fab fab coffees. Always come away feeling satisfied.P.s. Toasted snacks available too.

Lovely friendly staff, great selection of drinks and accompanying food...cakes, paninis, toasties etc warm and cosy on a wet cold day, outside space on a warm sunny one. Have felt welcome every time I've been here and able to just chill out.Books and toys provided for little ones; my friend's three year old loves it there, but at the same time as a singleton with no kids, I don't feel intruded on by children if I just want some adult quiet time.Can thoroughly recommend the hot chocolate and the rocky road cake

Love this coffee shop, been a few times now to have nice quiet relaxed coffee while I wait for my son to finish school, very friendly and free Wi Fi! Love the fat free sultana cake and myself and my son enjoyed milkshakes for a treat today :)

The Coffee Lounge has a lovely atmosphere and sells a great selection of coffee's and pastries at reasonable prices. The staff are very attentive and polite.

Just visited The Coffee Lounge in Lancing, fantastic coffee, brilliant, friendly atmosphere. Our daughter had Hot Chocolate with all the trimmings & was in heaven. Lots of cakes & snacks to choose from & lunch time treats. Owners are working on the garden which will be a lovely out-side space in the summer. Worth going to Lancing just to have such a good coffee.

Went here at Xmas in between xmas & new year so was nicely surprised to find something open in Lancing. Décor here is nice as are staff but food choice a bit rubbish- no paninis, breakfast/brunch stuff

Don't know what I did before the coffee lounge came to Lancing,fab coffee,fab service,it's just a lovely relaxed atmosphere,there's not many days in a week that I don't go in for a coffee or a bite to eat.I would highly recommend a visit.:)

After we moved to Lancing from Hove five years ago the only thing missing for me was a proper coffee house. When the Coffee lounge opened it was a revelation and I think the fact that locals have supported this wonderful family run business from the beginning says it all. The choice of food and drinks is second to none and the coffee is absolutely perfect. whether you want to sit in a quiet corner or chat with everyone you are always assured of a warm welcome from the lovely owners. There is free wi-fi and newspapers on hand and like an earlier review mentioned , none of that smelling of bacon! I like to pop in on the way to work sometimes or bring my daughter occasionally as it's very family friendly , there is an outside area for summer and some toys for the kids too. Overall a lovely place , make sure you pay a visit soon !

Lovely staff, and lovely place Nice to be able to go and have a nice coffee and relax without smelling of bacon as breakfast cafe's are the only other places to get a coffee in lancing and there no where near as nice. Would recommend.

When we moved to Lancing the search for a decent coffee took top priotity. Most places offered weak and stale coffee. The Coffee Lounge was therefore a revelation. I thought I was the only person that could make a decent coffee until I discovered this place. They also make very good sandwiches. I'm not a big cake eater and prefer savoury food but The Coffee Lounge is a great place for a quick bite and a decent drink. The family that run the cafe are also really lovely.

Locals are fortunate to have such a friendly spot for a relaxing break from shopping with the opportunity to enjoy excellent coffee and choose from an enticing range of cakes. Sorry we were only paying a fleeting visit.
