We are a group of usually seven, ex shoreham RAF cadets. We meet every thusday eve, and enjoy a great chin wag!! Our first time in Suters! Great atmosphere! ..and we could actually hear ourselves!..no loud intrusive background music! We are going again nxt thurs..providing we can all be accommodated comfortably!👍

This is a pub that likes to sell wine. And it's nice wine! The music is blues leaning and the clientele are predominantly 40 ish. Recommended

Food was great here but now they have closed the kitchen. They have increased the number of beers to a nice range though. Still a good place for a drink but I wish they still did food.

Popped in here twice during a few days stay in the area and enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and locals who are obviously regulars. Good selection of wines and beers and I liked the wine glasses which had a lovely quality and feel! Some bars don't realise that serving wines/lagers/beers in the right glass is important! Decor is attractive as well!

We came here before dinner for a few drinks. It's got a cosy interior but was fairly busy which gave it a bit of atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced and service was efficient. I'll definitely come back for drinks again.

We went here a few times for lunch. We enjoyed our meal and drink and the atmosphere. We then returned at a later date to find it was different management - much to our disappointment. Never been back.

The sign says Suter's Yard Wine Bar but don't be put off. We found it to be a nice, busy and friendly local.

I’m half Chinese and this place is really good. Get the hot noodles with the slow cooked pork, and the pork belly bun. Friendly service too on a cold, quiet autumn afternoon

Well, since the refurbishment and hearing favourable reviews we all anticipated a good meal. The decor was good and the seating comfortable but what a shame it was service from the Bar !! By the time we had listed our orders - there were six of us - delegated one of our group to deliver it and then having to return to the table several times to sort out the variants available we were exhausted and ready for our next drink. Such a shame as the food was very good and the quantity satisfying. A good and varied Wine list accompanied the meal. All in all a pleasant evening but such a shame about the Service.

When for a pre dinner drink, the bar is well run with a good selection of beers. I only gave 3 stars as the background music was way way to loud, not the place for a chat unless you can lip read. Would have loved to have had a second drink but my eardrums couldn’t take anymore abuse. Turn the music down and would have rated it 4⭐️.

Not long moved to shoreham and found this place.. such a lovely vibrant pub/wine bar The staff are very friendly and service is on point.. at night the pub has a fabulous ambiance with candles lit on tables and behind the bar light also set to a relaxing mood not like.places that attract young who can’t handle there drink.. A huge 5 * from myself and wife Well done sutters yard for making our experience a delightful evening Paul

Unfortunately there is a strong smell of drains the minute you walk in... not nice. Also toilets were very smelly. We had a bottle of malbec. Which sadly was served cold. Staff were a bit offish and rude. The young girl (Irish I think) in particular, I don't think hospitality suits her at all! For those reasons we all decided we probably wouldn't go back.

A great bar to have a drink in. Dog friendly, great atmosphere, efficient staff and a good range of beers. Also the most attractive lady was sat opposite our table which just made it all seem better.

What a bad place! Accused my friend of staring. Then accused me of objectifying female staff. Then recruited male patrons to evacuate me from premises. Using the Me2 as an excuse without grounds. Disgusting advise of power and misrepresentation of genuine campaigns. Sick.

had a fun night at Suter's Yard The staff were lovely even though they had some difficult customers to deal with. At 10pm, the owner came and screamed at us, you out! And looked at my friend - you out! As if we had done something wrong. Wow. All we'd done is be there all night spending lots of money. Don't appreciate that abusive behaviour. Maybe get a bit more involved with your bar so you don't feel the need to abuse paying customers at 10pm.

Very friendly staff. Nice grown up, relaxed atmosphere, clean modern decor, highly recommend for a nice glass of vino with people that matter.

Good place to drink and a great atmosphere.

Beware if you are old and short. You can be easily ignored by the bar girls in favour of young men who come in after you. Apart from that it's a decent bar.

Decent post-work pint. I like this place but fall short of giving it 5* because I was on my own on my way home. I can't vouch for it for an evening out or social get-together. That said, I'm sure it would be fine on both counts. Beers were very good and the bar staff very pleasant.

Small but cosey sociable atmosphere

Stopped with friends before dinner, and had lovely drinks and snacks, along with a fun conversation with some locals sitting next to us. We had a very enjoyable time.

Great wine bar thats serves a decent real ale. Been in 2 days now. Really busy Saturday but chilled on a Sunday. A great lively place!!

Wow! What a gem this gorgeous little bar is. The real ales are clearly kept well and pipes regularly cleaned as the few drinks I had were 1st class; my friends all commented on the quality of their drinks too (mostly wine drinkers). Service was exceptional and special acknowledgement goes to Helen (bar manager?) for her welcoming and cheerful service. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed with a generous mix of chatty locals and seemingly first-time visitors. For a weekend afternoon I was very pleased not to see a single child but did note no food menu so presume that no food is available. Will definitely be returning!

I met a friend for drinks here and really liked the friendly buzzy atmosphere. The bar staff are warm and efficient and the drinks and bar snacks did the trick. I'd go back.

Great wine bar with an excellent selection of wines all of which are reasonably priced, nice décor and atmosphere if only they could fix the issue with smell from the drains which can be quite strong on some days. The pop-up picnic idea on market days is brilliant and well worth going to, bring along your picnic and they will supply the plates etc.

This has to be one of the nicest (If a little small) places in Shoreham. It is clean, the bar staff especially welcoming and the range of lagers (Italian) excellent. I visited this on Saturday with a coupld of friends, they were equally impressed especially with the range of wines. We had just visited the Piston Broke and popped in here on our way to the next pub, what a difference, it was like night and day, from leaving a shabby hovel serving beer in dirty glassware to a palace where it was obvious the landlord knew how to serve drinks well and keep the product well.

Siempre me han gustado en los clientes aquí son una mezcla de antiguo, la gente de lavaderos Shoreham y a la noche la gente de los negocios locales. El personal siempre es agradable - bebidas son buenas, un poco pequeño, pero bueno, eso es lo que lo hace íntimo. Opción entre este y la cadena pub/bar? Esto cada día del año.

Suter es animada, divertida, concurrida y únicamente el lugar en Shoreham ahora. El personal es fabuloso, la cerveza es fría y variada y el vino excelente. No servían comida (excepto en ocasiones especiales y luego ofrecido por el propietario preciosa) pero en día de mercado puede tomar su propio picnic y él proveerá los cubiertos y platos. Muy amable.

Un lugar fantástico para ir y la bebida y en día de mercado puede ir y comprar su almuerzo de los comerciantes, ir a Patio donde Suters proporcionan paltes, cubiertos, etc y se puede comer su almuerzo mientras beber hay mejores. El personal es muy amable, tienen música en vivo y cerveza Bélgica de barril. Se llena bastante.

Pasó por aquí dos veces durante unos días en la zona y disfrutamos del ambiente, el personal amable y los locales que están obviamente asiduas. Buena selección de vinos y cervezas y me gustó el copas de vino que tenía una excelente calidad y sentir! Algunos bares no te das cuenta que sirve vinos y cervezas lager/en el cristal de la derecha es importante! La decoración es atractiva!

I've driven past the Suter's Yard a hundred times in recent years, and finally got the chance to go in on a quiet Thursday night last week. And what a nice little find it was! This pub/wine bar (hard to say which really!) is only a small corner place, but its nicely done out, the bar staff were very friendly and helpful, and the beer selection although modest seemed well-chosen and well-kept (and great to see my favourite Meantime Pale Ale on tap at a pound a pint less than I'm used to paying in Greenwich!). As other reviewers have noted, the Suter's isn't doing food on a regular basis any more - perhaps due to the size of the place they just don't consider it viable, but still a shame as we would happily have stayed to eat if such had been on offer. Nonetheless, will definitely be back at the first possible opportunity!

Very friendly staff. Lovely wine, choice of lagers but unfortunately a poor/limited choice beer. They no longer do food. Live music is put on occasionally. The atmosphere and lighting is lovely. I think Suters Yard is great!

Great place to meet friends for a drink, friendly staff, good selection of wines, beers etc. They have live music (look at chalk boards for upcoming events) fairly regularly and the 'pop up kitchen' on the second Saturday in each month (lunchtime) is fun.

Popped in for a drink after visiting Ropetackle. Shared good bottle of red. Lively, wood decor. Worth a visit.
