Went out for a meal with three friends last night and we chose Miller and Carter in Lancing. Brilliant meal, with all of us having a different starter each, followed by three steaks and a burger order. Drinks were beers and wine (I really enjoyed the Smooth Talker Merlot) Service was awesome, with no long waits for food. Special mentions to Leigh and Abi who made sure the evening went without a hitch. Will definately visit again! 5 out of 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Exceptional service, with prompt and polite staff, happy to accommodate any changes needed to menu items. Food was fantastic quality, although the portions are possibly slightly too big.

Nice place. Wonderful service, 3 course special lunch menu this visit that was hard to fault. Been before and not fully taken with the somewhat pricey al la carte but £19.50 for the set menu was exceptional.

Booked a table for 9 people on Sunday evening to celebrate a birthday and had such an amazing time. Food and atmosphere were great but the star of the show was our waitress, Caitlan! Caitlan struck the balance between attentive and unobtrusive perfectly. She was warm and compassionate towards us, even helping with hiding a secret birthday cake in the kitchen and bringing it out with all the candles lit for us. Whatever her hourly rate is, double it because she is worth it! Thank you to the entire team at M&C for helping us make a meal a very special and memorable ocassion :)

We visited Lancing on the 28th September 2024 and Louise our server was lovely, as was the food. Atmosphere was good, but we were seated right by the kitchen which was noisy.

Amazing steak, perfectly cooked. We had the most friendly and knowledgeable server called Melissa who when everything about the items in the menu, which was not only very helpful in helping us choose but an amazing skill. Will definitely be coming back here. Great food and welcome by all the staff.

**Miller and Carter Food Review** We visited Miller and Carter today and were greeted by a very friendly lady who promptly showed us to our seats for a table of four. Our group ordered a variety of dishes: a 16oz Ribeye steak with chimichurri and chips, Sea Bass, half a rack of pork ribs, and the ultimate dirty burger. Starting with the burger and the steak, both were cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and flavorful, while the burger hit all the right notes in terms of taste. However, while the food itself was great, the presentation was just okay—nothing too exciting, but certainly acceptable. The Sea Bass was enjoyable, though we felt the portion size could have been a bit larger given the price. It was well-cooked and tasted fresh, but a little more on the plate would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, the meal took a downward turn with the pork ribs. There were only five tiny ribs, with barely any meat between them—so much so that even a baby would still be hungry afterward. To top it off, the coleslaw, which was supposed to come with the dish, was completely forgotten. For the price charged, the portion size and quality of the ribs were highly disappointing. Overall, while the steak and burger were solid, the ribs were a major letdown, and the meal felt overpriced, especially for what was offered with the ribs. Unfortunately, this experience has left us feeling that we won’t be returning.

This predominantly is a steak house. Good selection of various cuts of beef, cooked to your liking. Great place to go for a special occasion as meals priced from £25 upwards for main courses. You get what you pay for... Fabulous food.

Been here twice over the year. Once for my partners birthday which she loved and then for little ones birthday. Both times the service, food and atmosphere was great, can't fault in anyway. Great steak house to relax and have a nice evening in.

We had the most amazing evening with the most bubbly helpful hostess, Melissa C. The food was out of this world, so our compliments to the chef and kitchen staff who so deserved the “bell”. We will definitely be back when we visit family as live in Devon . A big thank you to everyone 😊

Spontaneous date night. Booked very late and got a very nice table, thanks to the host Amanda. Opted for the Butcher’s block, which did not disappoint . 3 beautiful steaks cooked exactly how we wanted. Big thanks to who ever made my Negroni, despite having no Campari. Our sharing cookie dessert was delicious! Lucy was attentive and my partner and I had a great laugh with her throughout our meal.

Lovely atmosphere, polite staff. Had a lovely anniversary dinner and cocktails.

It is some time since we had been back to this restaurant. OK it is a steak restaurant but prices had increased considerably. The average steak is around £34 whilst Chateaubriand is an eye-watering £100! Still a very pleasant pub-like atmosphere and our waitress was really good. We felt looked-after. Knowing Miller & Carter's generous mains which haven't changed, we didn't attempt to have starters. My two sons and eldest's girl-friend ordered the special steak on the bone featured in a table top leaflet. My wife took lamb rump and I Rib-Eye 30 day steak. We ordered their cheaper Malbec and were extremely pleasantly surprised. It was everything a decent Malbec should be, robust and fruity. Perfect for steak and really worth £22. Well my sons' steaks not only looked good but were good and my wife enjoyed her lamb. UnfortunatelyI didn't enjoy mine. It was almost impossible to cut, very chewy and not the juiciness that I expect from a nice steak. Maybe I should have asked for medium rather than medium rare. Perhaps learned in France I do prefer ’saignant' normally rather than well cooked though but I will never order that again.. Had it not been youngest son's 30th, I would have sent mine back but I swallowed it down as I didn't want spoil his evening. The salad was nice though with a sauce containg hard Italian cheese which is so tasty. At lunchtime I had taken in a cake and candles. Our waitress knew all about it - very efficient - and it was duly brought out with a cake knives, forks and plates. Sometimes in other restaurants we have had to ask! As the cake was quite large, we gave her and kitchen staff few slices plus a nice tip. She had earned it.

Had a great meal with my siblings. Steak cooked to perfection. We have never been disappointed yet here and have a few meals here over a few years.

The food was amazing and the service was quick considering the fact that we had 15 people mostly with streaks and burgers. The atmosphere was very nice and it was amazingly clean, the place was pretty much spotless and the server Lily was very kind and welcoming. Would absolutely come back again.

Food was delicious - steak cooked to perfection! Service from Ellis was immaculate, he was really attentive and sure to not make any mistakes. The only note (in terms of atmosphere) is some of the music was quite dancey - not a bad thing just not what I’d expect here! All around a very enjoyable experience.

We attended on a Saturday night for a birthday meal. When we arrived our table was not quite ready so we were directed to the bar and were served immediately. When our table became available we were shown to our seats and were told about specials and asked about any dietary requirements. Our server ellis then came over and introduced himself and took our order swiftly and ensured we had everything we needed. Throughout our meal he was more than happy to accommodate every one of our needs. We will definitely be returning

My partner and I went to the Miller and Carter for a birthday/anniversary meal. Lucy was looking after us and did an amazing job. The food came quickly and she was very accommodating. If you’re in Lucy’s hands, you’re in for a great evening!

If you are charging eat out prices, then it would be nice to get eat out quality. Swerve this one

Food and drink was amazing. Customers service however was appalling. We phoned in advance to say we were running late due to traffic, part of our party arrived and was then rudely greeted by the manager who denied receiving a call and told us we didn't have a table anymore, we managed to convince her to let us eat for an hour but we were treated terribly

Miller & Carter, Lancing has gone a long way downhill since I last reviewed a few years ago. Staff and ambiance is still great but the steaks are now almost inedible. Our last two visits have been really disappointing, we thought it might have been a one off but on a second try the steak was tough, cold and basically of very poor quality. Shame, but we won't be going there again.

The cocktails are gorgeous, expertly mixed with just the right balance of flavours and the wine list is is equally impressive, featuring fabulous options that cater to every palate, from rich reds to crisp whites. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. They know their menu inside out and offer excellent recommendations. The ambiance is lovely, perfect for both special occasions and casual dinners. This steakhouse is a true gem—I can’t wait to visit again!

The place to go to for steaks. However,it is just my personal taste, but the "Award winning" ribeyes can be hit or miss regarding gristle and fat content running through them. I've had excellent ones, but I've also had ones that I've spent ages dissecting a lot of unappetising, endlessly chewable sections out of. Everything else, sirloin, rump and especially fillet cuts are terrific. Such a shame that they're following the increasing trend of becoming a mainly draught lager pub/restaurant, with just Neck Oil on tap, which is in the style of the lightweight American IPA beers that have flooded the market. This is Sussex, for heaven's sake..... let's have some Harvey's, Longman, Dark Star brews, or even London based breweries like Fullers, at a stretch.

Aww loved it! Our first time here celebrating our kids (not so) uni graduation. Food n drinks we're excellent 👌 😋 definitely a place well worth a visit. I know we'll definitely be back! Thanks to all the staff 🥰
