My family recently visited your restaurant and unfortunately their experience was marred by the behaviour of the waitress, she was extremely rude and very unprofessional. It's disappointing because the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, and the food is always lovely. However, the poor service we received overshadowed everything. I hope the management addresses this issue.

Great food with amazing views at sunset. We live locally and hadn’t been for a while, didn’t realise the river view seating was so big. We’ve never had a bad meal at Tosca, the staff work really hard and we will be back again.

Great Italian restaurant, which we use whenever the mood takes us. Have enjoyed our Wedding Anniversary there many times. Recent visit was with one of our daughters and her children (our grandchildren). First time for them and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. See you again soon!!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and it will not be our last as it was wonderful. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from the manager who showed us to our table by the window overlooking the river. The restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere. All of the servers were attentive and not pushy while we examined the menu, our starters and main course were plentiful and of very good quality, we both really enjoyed our meal. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to all of our friends and we look forward to returning very soon.

A friend recommended we try your establishment & we weren't disappointed 😊👍. Ours was definitely a 🤞, let's hope there's a table on a Saturday ( 13th) evening.. Fortunately for us there was, courtesy of a welcoming & friendly greeting. The food on offer was good with service to match 👍👍. A return visit is a must 😊..👍👍

I love this restaurant. It's my favourite eatery in Shoreham. The food is great and reasonably priced. My friend said his was the best lasagne he'd eaten in years. I suggest you book, especially for dinner, as it's very popular. Highly recommended.

Great Italian restaurant with lovely river views. Friendly staff, consistently good food with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Try the pizzas, they are just like being in Italy, superb.......

We had a great Italian style coffee complete with a small glass of water and a biscuit. Good prices and a very pleasant atmosphere. We regularly meet here with friends and family.

It just wasn’t good at all. We asked for a table out the back overlooking the sea before walking in. They said they could accommodate. Sat us in the middle part of the restaurant. Feeling too rude to leave after that. Then we ordered food. Bruschetta was a round piece of white bread with and a tomato. Zero garlic or basil. Just some garnish and dried up tinned black olives that has been drained from a jar. The Vitello Milanese was a slither of pork that could have been a slice of ham with lots of breadcrumbs. Then the desert was a walls icream with a slab of brownie.

Initial greeting was very half-hearted, service throughout was very average. Didn’t feel overly welcome. For a Saturday afternoon it was quite empty. The food was pretty good - the experience would’ve been much more enjoyable had the staff been friendlier.

We Visted as family (7of us) for my Daughters Birthday. The service was absolutely fantastic and the the food was amazing. Cant wait to return. Thank you

What a wonderful lunch. There were 47 of us ( a large family) The food was served in perfect timing considering how many there were of us. Everything about the lunch was superb. Thanks you to all of the team for making it a wonderful experience for our mum. Would definitely recommend to families.

Second visit to this restaurant. Wonderful menu, very hard to make a decision as such a good and tempting selection of dishes . Food is excellent, fresh, homemade, and reasonably priced. Lovely ambiance, excellent service and great views of the river. Can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend.

Lovely flat white and almond croissant. Served nicely with a small glass of water which is a nice touch. Good value for money

Not our first visit however I am ashamed our last was perhaps 15 years ago. Why? well we live in Warwick so it is quite a drive for lunch. As before this eatery never disappoints for quality food, exceptional service at a reasonable price. Love the new extended dining area overlooking the river and especially as the day we visited the sun was hot.

Taking the time to book for a lunch to celebrate my sister's 84 birthday- I rang to book a table for 3 people on the day before. I mentioned that it was my sister's birthday and that we would like to sit by a window because she had poor eye sight. I was curtly told that if a table was available by the window we could have it but otherwise we would be put where it was convenient for the restaurant. We were given a dark booth . It appears that this restaurant values its walk in customers rather than their loyal customers My sister has spent hundreds of pounds in Tosac over the years. Food was good but welcome very poor

A lovely setting on the terrace for a long, lingering lunch overlooking the river. A modern, vibrant interior with friendly, engaging staff. A well priced, extensive, authentic menu. Food extremely tasty and presented with very generous portions. A return visit certainly on the cards. (The chicken/spinach risotto was sublime !!!).

Very good restaurant and very good food, modern clean and friendly staff, lots of food and reasonably priced. Would come back and highly recommended.

Very noisy. Cold food. Highly over-priced £28 for a burger-sized steak with frozen chips. Who eats a garlic bulb? Half a tomato. Won’t be going back!

I am a coeliac, so can’t eat gluten. I had here, the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Would definitely recommend.

As always perfect food and service. Every visit is always perfect, no matter how busy we always manage to grab a table. The waitress in particular is very efficient.

I love having lunch in the restaurant, or having a coffee and cake in the lounge area. The restaurant is light and spacious with a view over the estuary at the back. The waiters are prompt, then leave you to it to enjoy your food.

We've been fans of Tosca for years, it's still excellent! Our 7 year old recommends the pizza, she says it's the best she's ever had anywhere. She's also obsessed with the bonoffee pie, which is delicious! The pasta and gnocchi dishes are great, the crab tortellini on the specials is my favourite. Excellent service too.

First time we have visited the restaurant but it came well recommended by friends, so I gambled with my wife’s birthday. What a great decision it was. Food was outstanding and it was not only a surprise but an education to meet somebody (manager) who knew a lot more than me about wines and I reckon I know a bit! Service was excellent as was the food. Cannot speak too highly about the staff, food, wine and general attentiveness shown to us. First time I’ve ever drunk a vegan Italian wine as well. As recommended by the manager. Great choice Will definitely be going back and soon.

Whilst they have a few dishes that you assume are vegetarian, there are no v’s on the menu. Asked for vegetarian cheddar...this is not known. They have one hard cheese only. No vegan options available & I would worry they don’t know what it is.

Just had perfect pizzas delivered with garlic breads!! Still hot and absolutely perfect, don't bother with Pizza Hut and Dominoes get them from TOSCA Thank you

Tosca has now opened a new coffee shop adjoining their restaurant. This is a very upmarket cafe with a great selection of cakes and pastries. Excellent service, first class coffee.

Pleasant restaurant but service (apart from female waitress who was lovely), not great, couldn't care less attitude. 4 diners - one pizza was cool as sitting around, one pasta dish no flavour, and two calzones did not have the full ingredients inside as listed on the menu. Male waiter and Manager not wearing face coverings fully on their face. Disappointed as looking forward to a nice meal.

Food beautifully presented but my limoncello Baba was very disappointing. It had obviously been hanging around for a day or two as it tasted very stale. However, the Americano coffee was good and well priced at just £2.00 and service was given with a smile.

Nice place went for lunch not booked but plenty of room food very tasty social distancing good all staff had masks , also took daughter and son in law for evening meal few days later very busy but were put in coffee side it was lovely staff attentive and cheerful and the food piping hot and very very good haven’t been for years but glad we popped in for lunch will go back when in Shoreham-by-Sea.

Reduced menu , overly crowded , service charge but receipt says not included at bottom , My steak not rested had bled into sauce, veg not a portion more like leftover , I broccoli floret 1/2 carrot , service so slow tried for 20 minutes to get drink, plus no vat information or vat number on receipt. They say they take American Express, but the particular machine They were using doesn’t recognise Amex, Have sent email to restaurant mentioning all above but not even a cursory response, I usually meet friends there once a month but unfortunately I don’t think will be going back

Food here was ok, not great. Calamari sloppy, pizza undercooked. Filet steak pasta dish really good. Wine nice, reasonably priced too. Service good. Negatives were 10% service added to a table of 3? Staff wearing face masks under nose? No track and trace?

Booked a table and left straightaway as people were crammed together with NO attempt to distance. Spoke to Manager ....he said if you dont like it then leave...so we did.

First time we have gone out to celebrate recently Nice to see that the restaurant is still doing well Every thing is in place to make you feel safe Food and service is still the 5 Star it has always been

Made a last minute booking for a late lunch today and I'm so pleased they managed to fit us in as they are very busy with the eat out to help out scheme.Friendly greeting and service throughout and the food was served quickly and piping hot, The food was lovely. Everything was so clean and the staff made sure as tables emptied they were cleared and sanitised straight away. A prime example of how to be both busy and safe. Top marks well deserved.

I went to the new Gourmet Dolce and Cafeteria @ Tosca and word of warning everything is so nice. The welcome was warm, the coffee superb and the white and dark chocolate cheesecake so rich and delicious. Long may it be a fixture in Shoreham

Decided to go to Shoreham for lunch With my wife and chose Tosca First time we have been for a meal since lockdown From entering we could see that they are taking every care with social distancing and cleanliness The staff have masks and sanitizer at the entrance Tables kept at a distance so you feel good your not close The staff were superb The food was superb We had a bottle of wine and it was perfect as the meal was not rushed and finished with coffee Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will certainly be returning Thank you Tosca for a great lunch

I have been going to this restaurant for many years, and I have never had a bad meal here. The pizza and pasta are great and my favourite is their calzone. Very friendly staff too.

Had high hopes before going here but alas 2 tables of 8 individuals very close together not promising under curent covid 19 rules!! Starter was very very slow (over 25 minutes) "we thought you wanted it with main" even though garlic bread is advertised as a starter and we said as a starter to share! Pizza average. Overall - Another place place trying to blame eat out to help out but take on too many covers (greedy) and not following the rules. Disappointing and im a local with family experience!

We ate at Tosca this evening. The food was great but would not return until after covid is less of an issue. Many of the waiters were wearing their masks incorrectly - below the nose or lower. Also I witnessed one waiter who stood at the bar pulled down his mask and preceded to touch his nose, mouth etc. He then replaces his mask and went into the kitchen & returned immediately with plates to take to a table. It would seem impossible that he could have washes his hands in that time. I then saw him pick up menus from a table and return them to a pile near the bar. Also didn't feel that tables were as distanced as they should be especially in the front section to the left on entry. Finally no hand gel was offered on entry unlike other restaurants visited recently.

This was my first meal out after lock down and everything was fine, very clean and well organised. The pizza was delicious and they were quite busy. All good.

We were greeted by the manager who was wearing a protective face shield, which was a good start given the current pandemic. We were shown to a booth and advised to sit on the inside to maximise social distancing. Again, so far so good. But this approach was spoilt when we noticed several waiters not wearing their masks correctly. Over the mouth only, moving the mask up to cover the nose to serve a table then lowering it beloe the nose again. Touching the mask should be avoided so all this on/off fiddling is dangerous. One waiter serve a table with his mask only covering his mouth! It seemed looking cool was more important than infection control.The waiters need training about infection control. They must wear masks correctly and if they need to adjust them then wash their hands immediately afterwards.If waiters operate like this in public view what confidence can customers have about infection control precautions in the kitchen? Its great to see Tosca back open and the food is as good as ever. Sadly I won't risk returning in the current covid-19 situation unless mask hygiene is addressed.

Had an aubergine lasagne which is nice, although the menu is not that informative for vegans and vegetarians. They have no vegetarian cheese either. A little more information available for allergy sufferers and staff awareness would be great.

I met my friend and we both settled on the Hawaiian pizza, I had not had one for ages and it did not disappoint it was delicious. The dough was soft and the topping perfect. The staff were friendly and speedy though it was not that busy as it was early evening and a very wet night. The tables are nicely spaced so all good thank you.

Came here on new years eve with friends,but unfortunately won't be going back. Pizza was just about edible and my partners pasta was bland and tasteless. Portions are also small. Far better place in Shoreham to eat good pizza and pasta, just a short walk away.

Went for a post Christmas family meal. Wide range of options including choices for the vegetarians in the party. Able to accommodate a request for no garlic due to an intolerance.Limited choice of puddings for youngsters. Vanilla ice-cream seemed to have a lemony taste.Service a bit slow in my opinion, felt there weren’t quite enough staff on which wasn’t great considering there were a couple of large tables which were pre booked.

Shout out again for Toscas for our excellent meal on Christmas Day! Our 5th year going there for Christmas lunch. Such a warm welcome they make us feel like we’re visiting family or friends. Excellent food, unrushed service and humour. It is rapidly becoming one of our family Christmas traditions. Thank you again Tosca!

All four of us had pizzas,all four were very heavy and doughy. Not very enjoyable. Also,an annoying booking system online,where you cannot increase the number of people on a table,only decrease

Visited Tosca last Saturday for a bite to eat before a concert. Had no greater expectation than a pizza or bowl of pasta to refuel but was greatly surprised and delighted with this place.

Yes recommended by my partner who loves the fillet and pasta...was really nice. Next time must remember to ask for med/rare as it was nice but done too well ..however excellent waiter must be praised made the whole evening...a must to repeat soon!!

Lunch with the other half last Saturday. A lovely selection of food to choose from. I went for the grilled sardines starter - and my other half the mussels.. sadly we did not care for either of therm. HOWEVER - The main course we went for a forest mushroom tagliatelle - AMAZING! I went for the meat pizza with a fresh Egg which the chef kindly split both dishes in half on our plates. Simply heavenly. Delightful.. we will be back at the earliest opportunity. My only complaint was we could not order our starter while we decided what to have for main - felt a bit uncomfortable about that to be honest - Still left a 15% tip though.

Had lamb shank which was very good came on a bubble and squeak but nothing else, would have like a few carrots and potatoes and mint sauce. Felt a bit rushed by waiter.

Third time of eating here and each time just got better, I had veal milanese, my wife the halibut from the specials menu and a friend sardines, all 3 dishes excellent well prepared, well served and great service friendly without being over the top, all in all a pleasant and fun time without being expensive.

It is a while since I have been to Tosca's but we met some friends there this evening for dinner and everything that we chose was beautifully presented and tasted delicious; the portions were very generous too. They also coped well with one guest who must have a gluten free diet. It was very quiet - and we certainly weren't rushed - if anything the service was a little on the slow side but fortunately we weren't in a hurry. Top marks to the chef!

Just visited with friends and not the best experience, all a bit too slow, over an hour for main being served, nothing special ordered. At one point whilst placing the orders the waiter completely ignored my wife while turning round speaking to colleague, ! So rude.

Came with my wife, Son, his g/f and my Mum & Dad to celebrate him going off to Uni,. Found the food very good and the service attentive. Overall had a lovely time and would recommend. Was quite busy but the staff found time to ensure we were looked after and coupled with the reasonable prices and lovely food really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Tosca.

Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday. It was brilliant, all 3 courses were very good and the atmosphere was really nice. We sat at the front part of the restaurant which was good, the back part seemed a bit louder. They even put a candle in my girlfriend’s desert.

Have dined at Tosca's many times over the years , and is far and away the best in Shoreham. You are guaranteed a good meal at a fair price. Ambience is excellent, staff always attentive. This isn't like so many other restaurents where it is a converted square box with chairs thrown in , it is laid out well and pleases the eye. Range of food to tempt any palate. Thoroughly recommend.

A pleasant environment but the pizza and pasta we ordered were both way below par. The crust of the pizza was overcooked and dry and the carbonara was not tasty. A shame, but the saving factor was the friendly service throughout the meal. There is much better Italian restaurants in hove around 15 minutes away.

Eat here fairly regularly, this was a sad family gathering and a table for 10 not booked but taken early. They knew the circumstances of our visit and arranged our table as a large square rather than a long 5x 2. The staff were sympathetic the food great quality as usual and the price great value as always.

Nice place, though a huge shame my carbonara was over cooked and therefore practically pasta with scrambled egg.

I had a yummy parmigiana and calamari. Beautiful wine to go with. Definitely would go again and excellent value for money.

I came here with a friend for dinner and we were lucky to get a table as was busy. The service was excellent with very attentive and friendly waiters. We shared the Tricolore salad and olives to start which were delicious and very fresh. For main I had the chicken cacciatore pasta which was very tasty. My friend had an enormous calzone pizza which she really enjoyed. Prices are reasonable and the menu is very extensive. We would definitely return.

Came here for a meeting with clients. Nice decor and lots of variety on the menu. I had the deep fried prawns to start with, followed by the Calzone. Both very tasty. Nice decor and great service and obviously authentic Italian.

A great meal with wonderful service, definately a restaurant worth visiting. The choice is very varied and all freshly cooked.

My family took me to Tosca's for my birthday and I can not praise the staff enough. Of our party of 5 we had 1 vegan and 2 fussy eaters! The staff were patient and accommodated both the fussy eaters by removing the disliked foods from the dishes (sauces and onions I know what can I say). They have a range of vegan/vegetarian/gluten free dishes including desserts! The waiters even joined in singing happy birthday to me which was very embarrassing! I can not thank the restaurant and the staff enough for making everyone feel included in the evening.

Whenever someone in my family has a birthday, we'll usually go here and it's really good! The food tastes amazing and there's a pretty view of the lake behind it. The waiters/waitresses are nice too.

Arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. Only one other table in the restaurant but not put off compared to other restaurants around.

This has to be the best resturant in Shoreham. The service is excellent as is the food and wine! If you like Italian Tosca is the place to go!

Had a meal with friends on Saturday evening, obviously a very popular restaurant as very busy.

We had been out to visit Sheffield Park returning to Shoreham our Daughter recommended Tosca Italian Restaurant be booked by phone The food was excellent I had one of the chicken options that I enjoyed I was pleased that the chicken came with a good selection of vegetables the sweet menu had my favourite and apple tart beautiful I will certainly be returning the next time I visit Shoreham

I found the food was very ordinary/bland and the overall feel in the restaurant was not welcoming. No loo paper and light in the ladies, very basic things to get right. I was very disappointed and unlikely to visit again.

Attentive staff. Food exceptional. Price fair. Would definitely return. It really was a great meal in a lovely ambience.

Our meal was great as was the atmosphere in the restaurant. We had a lovely time and would definitely go again.

It was really noticeable the ‘main’ man wasn’t there who is usually front of house. He normally greets you like an old friend.

Lovely place for a long lunch. Menu to suit all tastes... but recommend the pasta, good range of wines and lovely desserts.

We have been to Toscas numerous times and have not previously been disappointed. However, despite having booked and arriving on time, it felt like we were an inconvenience. No pleasant welcome, no 'nice to see you', instead 'just wait here.' Even when we were shown to our table there were no pleasantries. Fortunately, the waitresses were lovely and the food as ever was great.

I had dinner here this evening with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed our food, the venue and the staff were really friendly and attentive. I had the mozzarella filled dough balls for starter, they were fantastic, not so much a dough BALL but yummy all the same. I then had seafood pasta dish and oh boy there was loads of seafood in the bowl. The sauce was yummy, the pasta was cooked just right and the seafood was yummy too. We were too full to try one of the desserts but I had a Latte and it was so lovely and creamy it felt like a coffee and a dessert all at once. I will definitely be going back as it was also very well priced

Lovely family friendly diner. Great for couples or families and groups ie Xmas or birthdays. Top selection of pasta, pizza, meat and chicken dishes.

Soggy calamari, the Carbonara sauce was split, and the dish came to the table with a skin on top, like it had been microwaved. The rocket ‘salad’ was a bowl of rocket with a few chunks of Parmesan on top, no dressing, nothing. The cannelloni was watery and tasteless. Apart from that the beer was quite nice. It felt like there was no love for the food. It was just cheap. Shall not be going back.

Recommended this restaurant to our friends and was disappointed with the service . The food was delious but the portions have got smaller and more expensive. It was the service that let it down the waiters over reached across the table without giving us a thought. Didn't smile and didn't show an interest . It was a busy evening but there seemed to have enough staff on the floor. It's a shame because l used to give it 5stars but l not sure l will return now.

Went to Tosca at the weekend. There were a few of us and all the food pretty much came out at the same time which was good. General feeling was that the pizzas are fairly ordinary although not expensive. Would prefer to pay a little more and get something better. A couple of people had lasagne but it was mainly sauce with barely any pasta. Service seems a little indifferent, as it has been on all the occasions I've eaten there. I've only been once out of choice and several other times when not my call. I feel that with some small tweeks it would be a much better experience.

Visited here last night, ordered starter my friend had mozzarella in breadcrumbs I had the chicken liver pate, mozzarella looked old and as tho it had been re heated, tasted not fresh, was cold too. The pate was as though they had ran out and nipped to Tesco and bought the budget cheapest pate on the shelf it tasted watery. So first off very disappointing not one to complain so we kind of let it go hoping the mains would make up for it, errrr nah wasn’t the case :-/ unfortunately we then ordered the mains I had muscles and my friend a pasta dish, muscles came in a white wine garlic sauce, this was stuck to the muscles in clumps and was almost hard at the bottom of the pot! So i said to the waiter I cannot eat this and explained he agreed so took back to the kitchen where it took 2 minutes to then come back again! Obviously wasn’t a fresh batch! It was just hotter than it was before! Anyway I tried again and it was tasteless tasted of nothing the waiter said about the clumps that were still on all the muscles that this was normal because they make it with flour, Anyway I said I really can’t eat this I hate complaining blah blah and the manager was first off quite rude! :-/ made me feel like I was lying he looked at me as though I had done something terrible! By speaking my mind! He said well that’s how’s it’s meant to be (what tasteless with flour clumps over the muscles yeah ok!)

Four of us visited, having never been before but having heard good things. It was busy but not packed and we were shown to our table by the window.We had a look at the menu and ordered a bottle of White Rioja and some tap water. The wine quickly turned up and proved to be very nice but we had to ask twice more for our water.

A great dinner with our two young kids on new years eve, we had no booking but they managed to find us a table for 4 at 18.00! Amazing gesture and even better service! Thanks!

We are a family of 6 adults and this was our fourth time on Christmas Day for our Christmas lunch and once again we were not disappointed. Having pre-chosen our menus at the time of booking, we knew exactly what food we were looking forward to.
