Clear well of this place. Their appraisals are done in hurry and are mostly wrong. Indeed never bought any car that had even 70% correct appraisal.Their promise of end of sale trail is taunted in law by their directors misconceived idea. Customer service is very poor and works on pass the buck standard. 2 hours at times wait to even bring the car out out of their storage places. Avoid

Love going to this place. Some good bargains and they make you feel welcome e even if you’re a newbie. Only downside is that they start auctioning at 4pm which means an afternoon off if you’re a private buyer.

I purchased a car from them on Monday 8th May 2023, (3rd one from them to date) to which I was not satisfied with upon purchased, however I was informed that I had no option to cancel my bid. I unwillingly paid up and drove it home on the 9th, only to discover 3 issues on the drive; 1. Faulty Heating, 2. Rear window not opening, 3. Horn Not working. Later in the day, I discover that the car has a dangerous recall which I was completely unaware of. This morning (10th May), I called up the auction to notify them about this to which I have been rudely told that I am wrong and it is not illegal to sell a car with a recall, which it is. I have no option but to report this and take this further. All 4 of these separate issues were not listed in the book which has really annoyed me. I have pretty much been called a lier and I have been told that I'll get a call back, which by the looks of these reviews is not promising. Devastatingly upset with how this has played out.

Refuse to take cash or card payments as its easier for them. What happened to putting the customer first? Seems very dodgy bumping up the price from online bidders considering some of the online descriptions make the cars seem far more valuable forcing the prices up. I used to buy regularly some years past and get bargains but I guess they were the good old days...

Looking at some reviews posted i am somewhat bemused at the opinions of ‘buyers’ that Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) are; 1. Expensive Their fees represent a realistic percentage of the hammer price(s) and are very competitive when measured against other auction houses. As the trade is all too aware, there has been a huge uplift in trade (CAP) values over the past 3 years and SVA have held back any increases to their buyers fees to offset this and add support to their client base. 2. Bidding Protocol The set up at SVA could not be more transparent. Central rostrum with 3 screens showing current lot on offer and current bid, shown as online or hall. All bidders visible in the hall. In my opinion two of the best auctioneers i have witnessed. Why would they risk their reputation and jeopardise genuine bids when they have a captive audience of bidders with a large and varied selection of vehicles to meet all budgets and requirements? 3. Customer Service Open, friendly, approachable and fair is my assessment. As with any business relationship, it is a two way street. Be fair and respectful and it will be reciprocated. Not difficult. 4. Descriptions The SVA (NAMA accredited) appraisal system is very accurate and exceeds other auction houses. Car buying is a tangible process, you need to view and get a ‘feel’ for the product before making any decision. If buyers cannot be bothered to make the effort then expectations need to be managed. In summary, the team at SVA work extremely hard to provide a quality customer experience. I have dealt with them for over 10 years and respect their business culture and vision. As with any business, unsubstantiated negative online reviews are unhelpful and misleading. If you have an issue; talk to them and they will respond.

3rd time here and they always have great selection and mix of cars, something for everyone. But the best part must be the team, they are super-friendly, from the FD team through mechanics to the security and drivers. They are also ensuring that they won't sell you a lemon and that they look after you even once the purchase is completed. Bacs deposit required but they are really fast in transferring back may the purchase fall through or may you end up not winning any car. Moreover they do support and I mean, do support local, Chestnut Tree House charity. Nice one and thank you!

Came for the experience of the real car auction and to see if you can get yourself a bargain! With what I have seen yesterday I am definitely going to look elsewhere for my next car. Prices are way to high for auctions. Seems like might be better of buying from trade with warranty. Overall good experience. Auction went smoothly. I wasn't really in a favour of people standing outside of the room and bidding from there, while the seats were almost empty, seemed like no one was actually bidding and the prices were getting higher. Shouldn't be allowed.

AVOID THIS AUCTION AT ALL COSTS. I recently bought a car from them. When i received the car there was more damage to the vehicle that wasn’t even in the pictures. Looks like staff members knock the cars about whilst they’re in the yard and mess about with interior components. The car had missing panels which were present in the pictures online. Worst thing is the car arrived with fungus growing on the floor. When i called countless times to speak to a manager I was constantly told that the manager is busy. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Please avoid this auction.

Worst auction in the UK. Bought a 2020 model 15k car which done 30k miles. The car had issues which they didn’t mention including mechanical and electrical issues. Would not recommend this scam of an auction. Once they’ve got your money they don’t care about anything even legitimate claims . Bca cars have issues but at least they compensate you or take the vehicle back.

Rough and unreliable cars being sold here. Reports are not accurate and claims will not be entertained. Worst auction in the world never seen such negligence and false results when grading vehicles. Stay away from their online sales as the description is not accurate at all.

Been trading for over 24years and i have never met such untrustworthy and dishonest auction centre. I only purchase cars which are within 3 years old. This place sells cars without highlighting mechanical issues. Do not buy online from this auction centre as they do not entertain claims.

Having been a BCA customer ( private ) before for a number of years buying up the ex RAF and Army Estate cars for my work. I was sort of clued up at auction.. So I came to Shoreham for the first time.. I have to say it was very slick.. I had done my home work before with VAT and Hammer prices and I had a chart to work off while I bid, I had made up before hand. Touch and a go but I got the last British Gas van that day for my work in London ( needed Ulez ). Strong prices on the BG vans compared to cap price popular van, if you like blue LOL. Unlike BCA I liked the price on the screens so it was nice and clear to see. I felt the auctioneer was very clear and knew I was private and gave me the time to think. Buying and taking away was smooth and I expected to have to come back the next day to collect but nope was away on our trailer within the hour.. So I have to say it's better than my days at BCA.. I will be back as I do big miles in a year so I will be back to buy another and intend to do this twice a year if not more.. Great experience, really helped me out and localish to. Seen you guys again soon.

I've collected many vehicles here on behalf of one of my clients. The staff are always friendly and efficient which means I can be in and out in no time which is important. Descent cafe and clean toilets. All in all a win win.

The first time I bid online, I called the office to arrange the time to collect the vehicle. Upon arriving, I realized that the car did not match the description. The vehicle's condition was completely different from the auctioneer's description. They wanted to get rid of the damaged car they sold. I complained only to hear rude responses. After the complaint they closed my account. I opened the account again to see if I had the chance to buy cars that were in good condition. Then, I got a call to find out if I was interested in buying commercial cars. I said yes, but when I accessed the account to bid online, I realized it was closed without warning. I couldn't place a bid.

not honest. car auctions have a reputation of being corrupt these are no different. depending on which dealers are putting cars through the auction depends on the description of the vehicle. some vehicles are listed in the cataloque with major problems listed which gives you a chance to bid a fair price. some vehicles no mention at all of serious engine faults as you do not get to drive any vehicles prior to bidding on them you are relying on fairness in the description. unfortunately that does not exist.

Every other Thursday they hold a motorbility sale including ex fleet and ex lease cars. Monday evenings there is a general sale. Bargains galore iat both events. The staff are knowledgable friendly and willing to help with any inquiry. I would recommend anyone to buy a car from here.

Bought a zafira from here ... been buying along time about 7 years or so bought about 20 cars from here so when I bought a zafira from here I expected HPI and recalls to be done .... not the case my partner was nearly killed as zafira caught fire sent them email too see if they could help ....no response

Very helpful staff and great customer service; Had some issued with the v5 on my vehicle went there quickly explained what the issue was, less then 10min I was on my way home with the issue sorted!!!

Watch out, the cars are there for a reason and their honesty about cars leaves a lot to be desired. The prices are high generally speaking, as so many private people go there. I have seen same cars on Autotrader and Ebay cheaper, IF YOU BUY make sure you check everything, I bought a car and the remote locking system was completely broken costing me hundreds to get fixed and no mention of that obvious fault by the management, only found when i got home and tried to lock the car!!
