Just stayed here for 6 nights as part of Travelsure holiday. Speedy check in with helpful staff. Rooms very clean and tidy; plenty of tea/coffee/ milk facilities; good shower. Restaurant was excellent, too. Splendid food and fast service. Special mention for Ray, the restaurant manager, who ran the system brilliantly. Great sense of humour and very professional. Good bar, again with cheery staff. Entertainment was fine as well. Overall, a fine holiday and delighted to recommends the Queens if you are thinking of staying in Eastbourne.

The home made ice cream here is second to none! they have loads of very tastey home made and baked treats supplied by local people. Not to mention all the amazing locally sourced fresh meat that is butchered right there on site. This is my idea of a great farm shop!! The best part is the butcher always has a fresh bone or two for my dog when he sees us coming!! So lucky to have such a good farm shop near by!!

I ordered a pot of tea.I let it stand until the food arrived. When I poured it looked very weak. The tea bag seemed devoid of leaves, despite my squeezing the colour of the tea was light grey after adding a dash of milk. I asked the waitress for another tea bag. " I will have to charge you" was her immediate response without firstly examining the defective teabag. I reacted by telling her that I wanted a refund for the tea and she duly obliged. Now ,here is my question. The pot of tea was £2.80. An extra teabag maybe 2 pence. Their profit on that cup of tea possibly £2? She chose to cost her employer £2 for the sake of a 2 p teabag. !!! Another issue. When I ordered via their app it asked for a tip. It used to be that you tipped after the meal according to the level of service !! I usually leave a cash tip. Had I have tipped when I ordered would they refund the tip if I wasn't satisfied?

My wife and I saw an advert on our local community group saying this establishment was doing very good fish and chips for take away. On the group site people were saying this cost £7:50 each for fish&chips but you had to order in advance. My wife wife placed an order and on the other end of the phone it sounded like an old lady taking the order, she was very abrupt and wasn’t listening to what was being asked and just kept talking over what my wife was trying to ask. Anyway we eventually placed our order. When we arrived to pick it up my wife went into the side entrance and went to pay, the old lady was quite rude and said it was £8:50 each, when my wife said that on the local page it everyone was saying £7:50. She just brushed it off and said she didn’t know about that, my wife only had £15 in cash and as we had only ordered for 2 this is all she had. There were dogs running around the area as well not very hygienic. The price appears to change depending on who you are as my wife went back to the local group and the members are still saying they pay £7:50. First and last time using this pub takeaway the fish and chips were a small portion for the price.

Both were cooked to perfection and as we are 10/15 minutes away, I always have the oven warm for a few minutes when they arrive. The cod and chips have hardly any oil remaining and if there is it is always clear and crisp!

I wrote a scathing report on Port Kitchen last year and I am THRILLED to say that the place has really turned things around. I have seen a few people comment that the menu has significantly reduced and honestly, I think this is a GREAT thing. It means that food comes A LOT more quickly, staff are a lot more confident, and just overall, everything seems to be falling into place a lot better for Port Kitchen. We will definitely be back and I am so, so pleased that they've managed to get service tighter, and much more professional as this was my main feedback last year.

So I live local to this pub and have visited it many times. The menu regularly changes and previously the food has been good. However on my latest visit we ordered three dishes from the Tapas menu namely the nachos, satay chicken and halloumi. Upon arrival of the nachos the chef had made the cardinal sin of using sauce out of a plastic bottle to replicate sour cream, salsa and guacamole. The fact that this was rank sauce was squirted in three lines across the nachos made the dish inedible. The satay chicken was good but again the sauce had obviously come out of a bottle. The halloumi was passable. Tapas should be bog standard for a chef and not thrown together by taking short cuts and replacing fresh products with muck from a plastic bottle.

朝食、夕食で利用し、朝食は焼きたてのフランスパンとクロワッサンが白眉でした。 イギリス料理ですが、フランス料理の技法が入っているため、くどい味付けやスカスカの味付けとは無縁でした。
