Becky and Nick really went the extra mile to make our Valentines evening special starting from the warm welcome the excellent service and the delicious food but also for helping my partner arrange some special surprises for me Thank you all we had a wonderful evening ❤️

We had a perfect family gathering as a surprise for a 60th Birthday. We were fortunate to have the entire upstairs area to ourselves. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Staff attended to us all we had the best afternoon. Thank you so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulous village pub …lovely friendly staff and just amazing food…. Sunday lunch was a real treat , and we try to go to all the fine dining evenings… Kerry is a ray of sunshine and looks after us so well. A great mix of pub, village gatherings and fabulous food.

Varied menu, best pub food in ages, definitely recommend Staff very welcoming and friendly. Food very tasty, especially the Garlic greens.

This is a great pub with a fantastic team that, despite cutbacks, continues to work tirelessly day after day as if their lives depend on it. Contrary to some other reviews, which seem to stem from favoritism towards former General Manager who only aim to discredit the hard work of the current team, this pub is always welcoming, even when the team is overwhelmed with work and exhausted, they still greet you with a smile and give their all, going the extra mile. I take my hat off to them and I'm gratefull to the team that continues working hard every day to ensure we can enjoy a pub that truly serves the community.

We held my dad's wake at The Golden Ball and the service and food was exceptional. Warm friendly atmosphere, home made buffet and the sausage rolls were delicious as was all the food and cakes. Chelsea couldn't do enough for us and checked we were okay on a regular basis. All the guests commented on the exceptional food and service. The conservatory was bright, pretty and a perfect room for a lovely send off. Thank you to all the staff, the chef and team for making a sad day so lovely.

Fantastic freshly cooked Sunday lunch. Unbelievably good gravy and plenty of it! Great selection of mouthwatering desserts. Thoroughly enjoyed by all! Sadly,I don’t have a photo as we couldn’t wait to tuck in 😊

Found out this pub had live sports and as England were playing Finland ...needed a pub to watch it in. Decided on Henry V1...phoned them and asked if I could reserve a table...drinks only....absolutely no probs. When we arrived..we were so delighted we had the front of the pub reserved with what turned out in the end ...a private area and TV. Many thanks to the friendly staff

Absolutely rip off payed £14.40 for a Cruz campo and small bottle Prosecco l never doing in here again

Atmospheric village pub, welcoming staff and a varied menu. Lots of food classics on the menu plus a specials board of interesting choices. Garden outside if the weather is good.

Best Sunday Roast for miles! What a fabulous roast we all had at the Crown - couldn’t fault a thing. The meat (we had the lamb, pork and beef) was perfect - succulent and thinly sliced, and a lovely selection of vegetables both on the plate and to share. The option of a smaller portion at a very good price (which I think only lost one roast potato and slightly less meat) was really welcome as then we had room for puddings which were just delicious! We will be back!

Came in to watch the six nations rugby this afternoon and my wife overheard another old punter making racist remarks about one of the Irish players. We drank up and left straight after the match. Not great to see in this day and age.

Absolutely fantastic service, friendly welcoming staff and owners, food is top notch, the best jacket and chilli I have had since I was last in there about 8 months ago
