The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Still the best burger I’ve every eaten. I came here when I was younger and was blown away, I moved out of Brighton and tried it apon return and it is most certainly still worthy of the title of best burger! The Benetton burger is the best!

Quaint English pub with a unique peace to sit in and enjoy the countryside.

This is a great pub with excellent choice on the menu the staff are very friendly and helpful.

What a lovely place, I'd go again.

What a little gem! In a sea of mundane chain coffee shop that have taken over Buckingham, this really stands out as something unique. The first thing that hits you is the theming…such amazing attention to detail! It really does feel like you’re stepping back into time. Then there’s the tea itself - a fantastic selection all served in teapots as it should be. We only had cakes but if the rest of the menu is as good as they were, you’re in for a treat. Final mention to the staff - all very polite and friendly. We will be back!

Awesome staff and environment, whether you like comics or not. If you do, however, you'll enjoy the great comics on sale, the fun decor and the labyrinth cushion!

Wonderful Sunday lunch, with great service and ambience. They even very kindly rustled up some final pieces of pork left from the day's roast to add to our delicious tartiflette. Thank you!

Best trad breakfast I’ve had in yonks. Gracious and warm service: lovely people. Plus GLUTEN FREE fry-up options without any fuss. Loved it!

Very good, food was very good, service was perhaps hampered by the fact that on our night a new member of staff was being trained, so I had little idea of what to expect. My only gripe, the insistence of blow torching nearly every single dish, I’d suggest this can make an amazing dish, just good.

We've loved Porters since it first opened and have been multiple times. Great range of cheeses and meats and the boards are so rich with a great selection of extras. It's also very good price for how much food you receive. The wine list is big and easy to find something to match your board. The cocktail choice is also big and their espresso martinis are easily the best I've had anywhere. The mint chocolate is my recommendation! It's a great place for any occasion and we've always encountered very friendly and attentive staff. If you haven't been yet... Why not? It's absolutely worth it.

This place is tucked away and hard to find but definitely worth it when you get there. The service is friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. Good portions and v tasty! There was a good mix of customers from families to workmen. The cafe is dog friendly and has a small play area for kids. Absolute gem!

Nice little cafe. Really decent breakfast. A bit tight access for a pram, I guess completely inaccessible if you're in a wheelchair, and no highchairs, so not not most tiny-person friendly. Really good food, really friendly staff.

Friendly staff with a good range of home made food, cake's and bread

Excellent food, decent wine list and non-alcoholic options and very friendly, attentive service. Enjoyed the setting, relaxed but still felt like a upmarket restaurant. Each course was well presented, decent portions, the pork and the lamb were excellent.
