What an edgy venue! Great coffee and the most delicious cinnamon bun ! The service was friendly and personal. Great music too ! And customers just kept coming in …. 10/10.

This is one of my favourite places in Reigate for coffee and cake. The cake choice changes throughout the week. They do good breakfasts too! It is very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. They definitely cater for hard-core cyclists... the shop and work shop have specialists on hand, whilst they are open. Cyclists cone from far and wide to visit this place! However, choose a time “out of hard-core” cyclist pit-stops and you can generally find a place to sit. There is outside seating too... which is where the cyclists usually gather to size up each others bikes and compare bike stories. On this occasion, it was my friends birthday and they really made it special with a nice🎁 shape on his coffee and 💓 on mine!

Wow what wonderful knowledgeable supportive people. I cannot rate them or their services highly enough. I had a Jorvik electric tricycle put together by them. Having never ridden on one before I was given a thorough training and confidence building session before taking my trike home. I was even taken to the local park to support me to gain confidence and feel competent for my ride home with my dog in her dog basket. They all from the first contact to the final build & pick up, went to a lot of trouble to ensure my trike was built to a high standard & their support I know has boosted my confidence and will ensure my enjoyment with my trike for years to come. Thank you all @ Maison du Velu 🤗 I hope to pop in for coffee & a snack with Daisy from time to time and I will definitely have you guys service my Jorvik in future 🙏 I owe you all x x

I frequently pop in for a coffee, I sometimes sit with friends, chat with the staff or other customers, and sometimes just read. MDV have the balance just right I think; there is no trace of the pomposity that can sometimes prevail in high-end bike shops. The staff are always welcoming and genuinely helpful, the bikes are amazing and there's a good range of accessories and services too. The cafe is well stocked, the coffee is of excellent quality and care is taken in making and serving. A handy spot to charge 'phones is provided as well as plenty of cycling readables. Well done MDV!

You know the feeling. The aroma of coffee greets you from yards away. And then you sip the cup in eager anticipation. But all the flavour went into that aroma. Well, be ready for full flavoured coffee. Creamy texture. And surrounded by bikes to dream of. Terrific and lovely cakes too. PB on sourdough toast my fav.

Often pop in here for a coffee, always get the speciality coffee. It is very smooth with a lovely taste. Staff are friendly and there is a lot of space. Cakes look lovely but as a diabetic I am unable to try them. Well worth a try

So I’ve been here a few times and thought ‘customer service here isn’t brilliant’ but today was the last straw. Arrived at 15:34 on a Sunday after walking 30 minutes from the other side of town and when I went in was told it was closed by the two staff. I asked if I could just buy a gear cable as I needed it so I could commute in the morning, they refused. Told them on google it says they are open til 17:30 and they said ‘no it doesn’t’ waved phone at them with it on the screen and they shrugged. So, thanks, that’s a £20 train ticket tomorrow for me. Literally would have taken under a minute to put it through card machine and ring it up the next day. The burnt coffee, forgotten orders, dirty tables and slow service in the cafe on other visits was kind of annoying but wouldn’t have bothered writing it up until today when I found out actually they just don’t care about anything. The whole point in an LBS is to be there for cyclists when you need to grab something... and you wonder why Wiggle etc. Are smashing it...

Came here to meet my husband for a quick lunch as I was doing a class in Reigate. The coffee was just fantastic. Definitely without doubt the best coffee I have had in Reigate. We both opted for the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel these were tasty and full of filling. Can highly highly recommend. Cannot say anything about their bikes but their lunches are certainly lovely. We then indulged in two pieces of home-made cake my husband had the rocky road and I had araspberry brownie both were absolutely delicious..

Visited many times as a stop on a cycle ride and staff friendly (and helpful but not pushy on cycle matters), then the cake is always great.

Needed to have a first business meeting with someone I hadn't met before and was meeting half way between Godalming and Kent! We picked MdV from Tripadviser and weren't disappointed. Great cafe not just for cyclists but anyone in what seems to be the 'Notting Hill' of Reigate. Lots of other small indy shops along the little stretch where we found the cafe. Friendly staff and good coffee. Bit of a problem parking in the area but got lucky on the day.

This is a lovely place to have coffee and cakes at a reasonable price. Although aimed at the huge cycle fraternity, this shop come cafe is an excellent use of this lovely building, which was for many years an art gallery, on a corner of the Lesbourne Road area of Reigate.

As as standalone cafe this place is great - the coffee is good and a good raange of cakes and other food. But it's also a fab bike shop and general bike hub for local area. So worth a visit either as part of a bike ride or if you are in the area and just fancy a coffee.

I love this place. It's a haven after a ride, a relaxed den for browsing bikes/kit and a place that inspires you to cycle more. Well done.

Great coffee, relaxed environment and staff who are friendly, helpful and easy on the eye. With the stunning bikes and kit on offer, the only problem is, you'll wish you left the credit card at home...

Really nice cafe and good bike shop, however was just a shame about the staff. The young girl in particular, fairly short with mousy hair, was really quite rude and shouldn't be working in hospitality. Everyone else was friendly however it only takes one as we won't be returning for a while.

I recently had my bike fit done at the Reigate store and Paul was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics is first rate, as is his cycling knowledge, and he was able to fix my injury niggles. The shop is a great place to hang out for a coffee too, as is the sister shop in Cranleigh. The Cranleigh Wednesday evening bike ride is a great way to get to know the staff, local routes and fellow cyclists in the area and accommodates all abilities. The free drinks afterwards are a nice addition too. I would highly recommend these two shops.

Been here on many occasions for coffee and light snacks and cake. I cannot pick fault with the quality of the food or drinks. Its not the cheapest place but nowhere in reigate is so its on par with prices. The really good thing is that there's no hurrying required. If you want to sit there for an hour with a coffee and read the paper or watch cycling on the telly its not an issue. Service is brilliant, surroundings relaxed, whats not to like.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Take in the lovely bike display downstairs - whilst waiting for a fresh ham and cheese toastie. Food was great and the slouch chairs comfy.

Some bike cafés are too chic; some are too much a café stuck in the corner of a bike shop - this one combines a great bike shop with a lovely café, and does it really well. Great, well stocked serious bike shop, with a café of atmosphere and comfort. Really like this place.

Local chippy to my Grandma. When I come over from Thailand for a visit I insist on fish and chips from this fantastic restaurant. I've eaten in once which was great. Usually get a takeaway though. Portion sizes are extremely generous. Bear this in mind when ordering for a few people.

Delicious Sunday roast. We’ve not eaten at the Skimmington Castle for a long time and I’m so glad we went back. The Sunday roast was delicious, generous portions and bottomless potatoes which are the nicest I’ve eaten out. Lovely crisp roasts. My husband had the brioche bread and butter pudding and I had a sneaky bite and it was heavenly. Everything is homemade and you can tell. The service was lovely, attentive without being intrusive. This will be our got to for Sunday roast now.
