Popped in on our lunch break. Our coffees were delicious and the toasties maybe the best we've ever had. And most importantly the staff were super friendly too. Will be making this our regular for sure!

Best Coffee I've had potentially anywhere?? Genuinely cannot recommend it enough. Will regularly walk a mile across town passing about 7 coffee shops to grab a drink here, I am otherwise a man of convenience so this is testament to the appeal of F&G

We spotted this place by chance as it is a bit tucked away on a side street. It is a small and comfortable cafe that serves drinks, cakes and sandwiches. We had a very nice oat milk flat white with some very nice latte art.

Thoroughly recommend this place for the amazing coffee, toasties and overall vibe. It will be our first port of call next time we go to Canterbury. Such a great and friendly service. It's the place to go.

The most cold “welcome“ to customers I have ever experienced in a coffee shop. I have tried this place probably a dozen of times because it is in my hood and I needed coffees. Coffee is ok but I am shocked to read other ppl reviews of the owners friendliness. Most of the times I sit in their coffee shop and watch them interact with customers. It is definitely not just me. I always smiles at ppl first. It seems to be a running theme w them not to smile, have a grumpy and bitchy face on and do not do any conversation w their customers. Like cold robots. Oh and the staff they have now has learned from them quickly. No smiling allowed!! This place has so much potential but some ppl are simply not born for the hospitality industry…

I started going to Fringe and Ginge in September 2021 and I’m there at least once a day. The coffee is wonderful, and having tried many drinks I can surely say that it is the best in Canterbury. I usually have oat milk, which is blended seamlessly into the coffee for a gorgeous blend. The staff are all lovely, warm, and always open for a chat. Service is fast, with minimal wait time and the café itself is beautiful. The food is incredible, with both desserts and toasties for meals. Delicious and accommodating, with vegan and gluten free options!

I hate to say this, but it’s the best in Canterbury. I want to keep it all for myself and friends, but the patrons deserve it to be known. The cakes and buns are BAKED BY THEM ON SITE! Delicious, excellent, beautiful coffee. Adore the place. Deserves great success.

The title sums it up, from excellent service, amazing snacks and delicious coffee (every time!) Fringe and Ginge is the place for coffee in Canterbury. We can't wait to fly back to the UK from Melbourne just for some coffee with these guys. If you like chilled vibes, comfy seating and friendly people around, don't look anywhere else. This coffee shop is full of potential; The coffee (super fantastic and tasty) is served in really sleek looking cups or smoked glass cups that have just the right look , obviously meticulously chosen , size wise, perfect ,not your normal pint of milk with a squirt of caffeine. Id also like to point out the design of everything inside from the furnishings to the shelfing to the seating is damm near perfect. The coffee machine, is so clean and shiny you might even mistake it for a mirror and assume there making coffee out of thin air using magic, steaming the milk using real wands and the such , amazing! Seriously though, best coffee ive ever had in the UK, beans that are for sale are allways interesting and not your usual fair either. Can't say I've had the pastries but they do look particularly good as well 10/10

Fringe and Ginge is easily the best coffee shop in Canterbury serving the best, most reliably delicious coffee. The interior and furniture is simple and minimalist and there is a modest range of sandwiches and sweet treats. Ultimately there are not really any frills to distract from the excellent coffee. I love sitting on stool outside the front of the shop in the sunshine and drinking an espresso. Thanks Fringe and Ginge ❤️

We visited last year on a day trip to Canterbury. Incredible coffee made fresh from a very visible coffee machine, and the vegan pastry was delicious (didn't feel like it was missing anything). The atmosphere is really welcoming. Can't wait to visit next time.

I don’t write TripAdvisor reviews but I’m here for the sole purpose of stating that Ian is clearly off his head or lost. Fringe and Ginge is genuinely the only place I go to for coffee in Canterbury as it’s the only place that provides consistently excellent coffee. Never had a bad one. Food is also top notch. Don’t listen to Ian.

If you're a local to Canterbury, that's your place to go! If you're not local, that's the place to put on the list to visit when you're around. I definitely can't wait to revisit them! Not only the coffee and pastries are to die for, but the cafe itself also looks super clean and cosy, and the owners are super friendly and funny! 10/10
