With all these flaming Marvel movies so thick so can’t brush your teeth sideways, what a relief it is to find a café that’s not themed round Batman or the Penguin or any of these unsavoury characters. Let’s hear it for Dennis the Menace! The barristers (yes, m’lud! order in court!) entered into the fun of things and took my order in character. The Swahili lady dressed as Gnasher was a particular highlight!!! I ordered eggs over easy on medium rye, with a side helping of deli meat, and some take out loose corned beef, in case I needed some pocket meat for the Big Match (Come on you reds!!!!!) To top it all, the UHT was served in a genuine Silver Jubilee jug. Imagine seeing all that beautiful milk pouring from Phil’s pursed lips. God bless you, Your Majesty.

I’ve made the journey from Faversham to Water Lane just for breakfast here several times and it’s always worth the trip. Food is always fresh and tasty and large portions. Restaurant is in a beautiful old glass house, interesting atmosphere and surroundings are stunning.

Purchased a breakfast stick and it was very very tasty, coffee was rather small for a regular coffee but next time we would happily buy a large one. Highly recommend this place, it was my first time but would certainly use again.

Lovely lunch, great service and beer that tasted just perfect. I started with some really delicious sourdough bread with marmite butter and thai pesto, next was one of the most satisfying soups I had tasted in a long long while, a red thai curry soup that was both creamy and spicy. Next I had a tender wild garlic marinated chicken breast with chips and beetroot salad. Again sumptuously tasty, but with a flavour that reminded me of 'proper' chicken. Add to that, the meal was served by perfectly attentive, good humoured staff who really know how to their stuff. Well done!

Best meal we've had in ages. Been coming for many a long year but today's lunch was outstanding. Their fish cookery is now really excellent. And so very fresh, but it doesn't matter how fresh the fish is if you massacre the fish it doesn't really matter. They don't. They treat it with care. I had Skate wing, octopus and mussels on crushed Jersey Royals with tender stem broccoli and my friend had sea bass, cooked perfectly. Followed by Eton Mess and accompanied by a good bottle of Pouilly Fume. Thursday definitely got better. Thank you so much, the chefs and the staff

Visited today, a very last minute Easter meal booking made on Friday… the chap who answered the phone did his utmost to fit us in and couldn’t have been more helpful given how busy their bookings were. Arrived and were warmly welcomed by the bar team who we immediately warmed to with their sense of humour. Ordered four Sunday lunches (two roast port and two roast lamb). Both arrived really quickly and a huge plateful of food. The meats were cooked to perfection and a lovely seasonal selection of veg. The roasties were fabulous and all roasts served with a huge and beautifully light Yorkshire pudding. Best cauliflower cheese I’ve had in a long time. Four cleared plates in pretty short order - it was delicious. Nice selection of puddings on the menu and it would’ve been rude to not take advantage of the triple chocolate brownie. A good sized portion, served with a really rich chocolate sauce and a good scoop of ice cream. A perfect ending to the meal. The staff were fantastic, very attentive table service without putting time pressure on. Nice to see them having banter with those up for a laugh and participating with customers - whether the regular locals, or those on their first visit (that was us today). Such a welcoming vibe to the place as a result. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, your hospitality and good humour made it a great visit with the parents and your food was absolutely superb!

The food here is fabulous...when you receive all of it. We have ordered from here a few times now and on the last two orders we have had items missing from our order. We have called the restaurant and all they say is "Oh its the courier they're a 3rd party." This time it wasn't the courier it was the woman who works there who admitted on the phone that she hadn't put the two curry sauces in. They said to request a refund but that doesn't really help with the meal now!

Afternoon tea at The Castle Hotel Windsor was a delightful experience! The elegant setting and attentive staff made it extra special. Shout out to Kamil, Rubie and Samantha who looked after us. The selection of finger sandwiches was fresh and delicious, and what made it even better was that they happily topped them up—a lovely touch. The cakes were beautifully presented and delicious, and the scones were warm and fluffy, served with plenty of clotted cream and jam. Best of all, our hot drinks were refilled without hesitation, allowing us to fully relax. A truly amazing experience that I would highly recommend! ☕🍰✨
