Such a hidden gem! The food is spectacular, the service is also wonderful. We visited two nights in a row as the food was just the best!

Chips were good, was a good piece of chicken too - not the scrawny half sparrow sized guy can get sometimes from places - plenty of meat on it. Felt like a bit of a cheap bread roll but not the end of the world. All in all, a good meal.

Chips were lovely and crispy and Chicken was really tasty.

Partial order delivered. Rang the shop who confirmed it was the drivers fault. No effort to assist us in obtaining missing items or tracking the driver down.

Very good food but the staff at the till let the place down. 5* for food. 2* for the girls on the tills. The food is very very good. I'm not a big fan of chips but I can eat an entire portion of their chips. Always fresh and well cooked. Their chicken and chips offers is enough to feed my wife and myself. Even fed my wife, my nan and myself once as well with a upgrade to large chips. Their cod is nice, very fresh. It would be my go to take away if not for one thing...the girls on the tills! I've yet to have a pleasant experience with any of the girls on the tills. Don't look at me when I'm ordering, look fed up and never smile. Seems like answering any questions is an inconvenience. In fact, last time I was there I said to the girl who served me, a smile wouldn't hurt especially where it's Christmas! The result was just a look that could kill. The owner is friendly, always greets me when I come in. Maybe because his staff don't? I've actually not gone there at times because of the way I'm served by the staff and one girl is actually rude in my opinion. I've heard others talk about this while in the shop as well...how much business is being cost by their grumpy till staff?

Comfortable seats, good service, quality meal, pleasant ambience. We hae been coming since June 1994 and the standard has not changed.

We visited The Fish on Boxing Day as a group of 6 family members and cannot fault our experience. From the minute we arrived we received a very warm welcome by the staff who couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced and the two young guys who served us were on hand whenever we wanted anything. Genuinely cannot fault our experience and we all had a wonderful afternoon in their hands. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT, WELL DONE GUYS YOU SMASHED IT 😁👏👏👏

Christmas Day lunch. Pub beautifully decorated. Excellent , friendly service and very good food. Atmosphere was great. Will go again.

Chip very good fish was dry and overcooked never had a problem before but this time not up to the standards I’ve had in the past

Both drinks cans were dropped and dented and the majority of the food was cold. Awful service. Not any fault of the Takeaways at all, all down to the delivery driver.

30-40 min delivery time got later & later. Not good enough

Our favourite chip shop but they never put salt and vinegar on the chips when you request it and £3.80 for a chip roll that just has enough chips to fill the roll bit disgraceful.

Never had a bad thing from here. Always arrives hot and good quality.

Stopped here on the way through to Portland. It was a spur of the moment find and we were not disappointed. The service was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and tasted homemade. The haddock and chips were huge and the fish tasted fresh. Light batter too. Bubble and squeak Benedict was different but tasty. Runny poached eggs which aren’t always easy to find. Good valve. Would recommend.

Lovely food as always, however when sat down to enjoy food there was one large cod missing. I called the shop there and then and before you know it we had the missing cod delivered within 15 mins along with extra chips and an apology. Thank you to whoever I spoke with as you were polite and did not sound stressed in any way, being a Friday night. Happy wee bunny 😝

The best place to eat in Ringwood! Great traditional pub and dining experience. The food is excellent .. the atmosphere always warm and welcoming, as are the staff. A lovely real fire on winter nights .. what more do you want!

I entered and was quickly welcomed immediately with a positive atmosphere. The service was outstanding and just brilliant. I received my order within only a few minutes which was great. In addition, I have continuously bought from this chippy and never had any problems, the guys working at the tills are always friendly and ive never had a negative experience. Food and drinks are top notch and we'll made, the prices are reasonable. I've been coming here often since discovering the place. The best chippy

The order was placed at 5.57pm and confirmed at 5.58pm. Food arrived at 7.26pm. Absolutely unacceptable for a food order.

been here a few times now always been ok but today the chips were rock hard and some felt like they had been re fried again and again. the older man who I've seen at various take away places said to the younger one not enough chips which he ignored and just gave to me. which in a way i was relieved because i threw most of them away. how can the one on st johns be so completely different in taste cooking and approach. lessons should be taken from them i wont revisit the willows again.

Ordered at 6:06 tried to cancel at 7:04 to be told id be charged 100% as food was already prepared. Eventually it arrived at 7:37 an hour and half after i ordered. Customer service is shocking and your delivery is abysmal.

Order for 7.20 didn’t arrive till after 8pm

Just Eat Delivery time was a joke, appalling late, called the restaurant who were still waiting for a driver for over an hour. Restaurant food was good but waited far too long for the food…

I reviewed this several years ago. Just returned as rarely in the area. What happened!! Did someone upset the local council planners!!! The pub must be good to survive being cut off from the main road and nearly impossible to find. Anyway a great Friendly greeting by bar staff and good pint of Butcombe bitter. Good choice on the menu with superb calamari starter. The boss had fish and chips which she tells me were first class in every way. I had the lamb Kofta which was well presented and tasty. Keep it up and thanks.

Visited The Fish as a last minute thing with 10 family members for dinner. We messed them around a bit with numbers but they were more than happy to accommodate our changes. Great choice on the menu which catered for all different tastes. Steak pie was excellent and halloumi salad equally good for veggies. Service was first class (thanks Zach and Robbie), the whole experience was great from start to finish. Thanks Team Fish!

Nice friendly staff. Quick turn around. Chips are perfect. Haven't had a bad bit of fish yet. Burgers are good, and battered sausage is nice without the horrible gristly bits..

Great order apart from missing my battered halloumi which was missing. Seems they put 3 mini battered sausages in its place. Not the best replacement for a veggie. Overall nice shame about mistake

The only downside was the delivery driver requesting the code which we forgot and so insistant he needs it and almopst did not ive us our order. We did not think we actually needed the code as thi was the first tim we had been asked for it.

Restaurant is right opposite our estate yet the driver ended up the other side of town with our food and it was freezing cold on arrival.

Driver was at rotary close for about 10 mins no where near my address then it came up as delivered I received none of it I'm fuming was last money I had to feed me and 2 young children. Absolutely disgraceful driver needs sacking please help us

Staying in the new forest came across this place on a weekday lunchtime.. lunch hours nearly finished but was able to order quickly and find a table or two in the dog friendly area. Staff were friendly and efficient..food was good and if the weather had been better a decent size beer garden.

We had a lovely evening here tonight. The welcome was warm and friendly. The menu had a really good choice and the food was fabulous. The service was fantastic and our visit was good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.

As always, On time, good food and very good team. Best in the area. Will not go anywhere else. Ten out of ten for these guys.

No problem getting a booking for Sunday lunch the day before, which is rather telling. Good car park, pleasant interior, the waiters could have managed smile. Vegetables well cooked, potatoes slightly undercooked, meat also well cooked but sadly piled on top of the veg. 10% automatically added to the bill, but I think this has become the norm. £19.

Tasty lunch with good service and excellent real ale in a pub/restaurant with great old English atmosphere. The steak in ale pie was excellent but the chicken was overdone and underwhelming.

I ordered at 5.20 and when I ordered it said 25 to 40mins delivery. it actually arrived at 6.37pm.

over 1 1/2 hrs to be delivered and then my child's chicken nuggets meal was missing, still waiting an extra 1/2 hr after my call to say its missing to get delivered and I've got a hungry grumpy 10 year old!!!! abysmal service.

We live in West mersea island and we always go there to get our fish and chips, they ate so lovely and fish is freshly cooked, hardly any grease at all, the best fish and chips I have tasted. Never get them from chips shops on mersea island as to greasy and fish over cooked.

Ordered a ham ploughman's.. disappointed with the portion size.. for nearly £15.. I'd have expected more salad.. no tomato or cucumber etc.. just rocket with pickled onions.. a few slices of ham.. small wedge of cheese..gherkin and chutney.. and a wedge of bread.. I hope service charges weren't added as i wasn't asked at the time of ordering!

Absolutely delicious meal, delivered with a smile, hot and extremely quickly. Called up to ask for some ketchup as I’d forgotten to add it to my order and it was no trouble at all…very kind! I must ask what make your vegetable pancake rolls are, they are absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for a great meal x

Had a potion of chops at luch. Obviously they had mixed the chips with a stale batch some were ok others stale and cold!! Disappointing.

The food was lovely as usual but the delivery started at 40 mins but ended up 2 hrs 20mins making it 1hr 40 mins late. Very poor delivery considering how good it normally is
