Bookworm Cafe in Gosport

Always enjoy the food and atmosphere in here, food is good and price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a great budget cafe, good selection of light meals, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Have been going here for years, and never been disappointed. If you want a bigger meal, may not be the place for you. Surprised to see a few bad reviews, but maybe it is human nature not to post when things all go well. Thought I would balance the books.

Again poor service , this time by a male member of staff ! Was kept waiting to be served , with no “ sorry will be with you in a minute “ got in to trouble for ringing the bell on counter ! However I wasn’t sure if he was coming back , and wondered if someone in kitchen was able to serve me. This could be a lovely cafe , a smile and acknowledgement isn’t to much to ask.

After many visits here , todays was a disappointment , service was poor , no smiles, lack of verbal communication from the lady who served us. When she did bring order to the table , it nearly landed on my lap when it was thrown down. Maybe having a bad day !! However not my fault. Nice cup of tea and ok cake with a friend.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. Would have been 5 stars but thought the male member of staff could have been slightly less condescending.

Lunch time very little choice from the menu left. Customer service by young male staff left a lot to be desired and another member of staff walked around in a trance wiping food crumbs off tables onto chairs and the floor. At the same time the 'cook' stood the whole time shoving food in her mouth with her fingers in the kitchen doorway in full view of customers. Not the best impression.

I regularly pop across the water to visit Gosport library as they seem to have a better book selection. Whenever I go there, afterwards I always stop off in the café for a snack/meal because the food is superbly presented, and tasty too. Add to this the friendly staff (matching the librarians in this respect) and the pleasant ambience and what more could you ask. Only problem is it is so popular it is sometimes difficult to find a free table (but they do state you can eat ANYWHERE in the library, not that I've ever tried).

I like this place a lot especially if on my own - can just pick up a magazine or book and have a read with a cuppa and one of your lovely homemade scones.

Interesting vegetarian cafe near the main Street off Yong Shu Wan pier on Lamma Island! We love especially Green Goddess lasagne n Shashuka! Good relaxing vibe in the setting of Australian skateboards!

Good value quick food with a reasonably wide and varied choice. The service was good and the staff are pleasant.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty and well presented. Great value for money. Plenty of room to sit with friends and have a chat and enjoy the atmosphere.

A friend and I quite often go into the cafe for cake and tea. I have also tried their wraps and jacket potato which I found to be of good value and very tasty. It is used by people from all walks of life which adds to the good atmosphere.

I love it here. I come to the library regularly and usually stop to have a bite to eat. The menu's varied and everything feels cooked to order, the staff are really friendly and the chocolate muffins are the best I've ever tasted. Everything is great value and best of all, you're surrounded by books. What's not to like?

Staff very responsive to those less able or needing items carried to table. Light lunches and sandwiches made to order. Reasonable choice which caters for different dietary needs.

Mi esposa estaba un poco sorprendido cuando dijo que ella quería una taza de té y me llevó a la biblioteca. Sin embargo, accedió a que el pastel y el café era muy bueno en un entorno luminoso y colorido. También tienen un precio muy razonable que es sabroso comida caliente. Está situado en el centro de la ciudad con aparcamiento larga estancia barata a mano. Son frecuentado por mucha gente y la biblioteca/centro de descubrimiento normalmente tiene una interesante exposición local. Siempre voy allí para un bocadillo rápido/café cuando estoy en Gosport

I Visit here often. Nice staff and ideal for a quick drink. Good place to go for breastfeeding mum's. The quality of cakes varies. Always have a quick check before buying.

Si buscas la última dieta cocina nouveau, entonces éste no es para ti. Sin embargo, si estás buscando un ambiente luminoso y alegre, con un personal amable y buena comida y bebida a precios razonables, entonces no se puede hacer mucho mejor que el Bookworm Cafe. El menú es amplia y los asientos son cómodos.

Didnt really enjoy the food this visit. The jacket potato was still a bit under cooked in the middle and had to leave it. apart from that, friendly staff, great size pot of tea and great atmosphere.

Aptly named as it is in the Gosport Library. On ground floor so easily accessible. Great selection and large portions of cakes. Friendly & helpful staff. Nice clean area. Just a bit slow on the coffee & tea making.
