Frydays in Gosport

Would have been better if the bottom layer of chips weren’t stuck to the box and the pea fritter wasn’t really a fritter more a big ball of mushy peas coated in a thin batter and fried. But the onion rings were lovely very crispy and the fish was good

very easy ordering and payment, good hot food

Second time using Frydays after last dreadful fish and chip meal. Ordered standard and large fish plus chips. Chips missing from the order which is app fault but standard fish the size of a child’s/oap portion and large portion overcooked and mainly batter. This will be the last time ordering from here. DREADFUL

food was cold when delivered we have never had this problem before very upset with just eat delivery 🥶

For an restaurant that is a 5 minute drive from my house, the food wasn't hot, and noticed that the delivery came from the opposite side of town..Not impressed

the piece of fish was the same size as the steak and kidney pie. never had a piece of fish so small. imknownit says small but it's a joke. photo taken

Those chips! I mean everything is good but those chips. S tier chips.

Very nice, only issue we asked for salt and vinegar on the chips but there wasn’t any put on them, also wouldn’t bother getting their curry sauce again, other than that it was really tasty.

No issues with delivery. Large cod that I ordered came in 2 bits, 1 piece was just well done batter so not impressed. Chips were ok. Usually order from Fridays as usually good, tonight though was not good.

Superb quality and quantity as usual. Polite delivery driver, who apologised for being late, which he wasn’t. Use Frydays, you won’t be disappointed.

Service is crap and fish and chips are only fit for the bin. They are tasteless and swimming in grease.

Went in last nite and ordered burger and chips burger came with plenty of salad and all fresh i have had these burgers before and always enjoy them the chips are always really nice and freshly cooked. The young lady who served us is always really friendly and polite and they even opened the restaurant so my partner could use the bathroom. We would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks to the staff on the service and friendlyness we will be back soon.

The courier refused to hand meal without a 4 number code which was no longer available. When we did get the food - it was cold !

Been here mid week, ordered medium cod and chips with mushy peas. Fish had to be cooked to order but that was no problem. Fish tasted great with crisp batter. Chips also descent. Not tried pies or other items. Would recommend.

Asked for a jumbo sausage in batter and got a jumbo sausage. Disappointing

kept changing the delivery time, when asked where it was they said is left but app said still preparing...food was stone cold and couldn't eat it anyway as when it finally arrived it was to late and I had to got out

Usually wait for your fish and chips to be freshly cooked but WELL WORTH THE WAIT. The frequent queries are a good indicator of it's popularity and quality. Very highly recommended

it's been awhile since we have ordered from Frydays.Fish was fresh,batter alittle greasy but was really nice.Portions we're very generous too.Burger was ok and the onion rings & garlic mushrooms didn't disappointed.Frydays is definitely one of the better fish & chip shops we have in Gosport.Thank you.

Fish and chips alway taste different in the south, but cooked with skin on I personally am not a fan, batter is too too think wet maybe due to the fish, the fish was wet and did not taste meaty, it was wet. Chips though full marks really good. Bread roll was tiny and hard not good for a chip or fish butty. Overall disappointed with my £10 meal and left most of it.

Book for it to be delivered at 7.pm arrived 7.50. What’s the point of booking a slot in advance for it to be late. Very disappointing

Unfortunately the fish wasn’t that fresh and it was grey not white. Usually the fish is so good, such a shame as I always recommend frydays.

Ordered at 5.55pm, turned up at 7.20! Time kept changing

Ordered at 18:20hrs and still haven’t arrived and it’s now 21:35 hrs. Will never use this courier again. Spoilt a 50th birthday party. Thanks very much Just Eat…………..

We drive over from Chandler’s Ford regularly to get fish and chips here. Fish is always fresh. Chips good.Staff are friendly and welcoming. We sit on Gosport Waterfront watching the ships enjoying our food.

We always enjoy the food we get, and they're not stingey with the chips.

Used to be a really good chippy but the last few times I have been the chips are not cooked properly and I end up with mush at the bottom of the bag very disappointing when it used to be one of the best chippys around very disappointing will not recommend to friends or family now 🤔

Not a good experience today, maybe because it was a Tuesday. Had jumbo sausage and chips - the sausage was nice but the chips were awful - dry and stale and only just warm. Probably re-heated from time before. Won't be going here again.

Order time kept changing. Then order cancelled without explanation. Avoid!!! I had to give it a one star to proceed. It is not worth that. ZERO stars

Amazing experience. Food was on time and driver was friendly. Meal was delicious and still piping hot. Shop labelled and separated vegetarian food which was extremely appreciated. Highly recommend! Also portions were spot on!

the box the chips were in fell apart lifting from the delivery bag. so most wasted on floor . fish over cooked

Just on a day out and decided on lunch here ,was expecting it to be busy as on gosport seafront and a Saturday but was quiet when we arrived ,good price for 2 of us ,about £9 each with food and drink ,waitress on her own so praise to her for the job she did ,especially when about 16 came in as a group but remained cheerful with the added stress

it is probably the best fish and chip place in Gosport, fantastic food however it is very pricey even compared to others in Gosport. Best food high prices.

I usually love frydays but tonight was awful . Food was cold , delivery time kept being moved back . I ordered before 18.50 food was delivered after 20.30 . Really poor standard I’m sorry to say

Ordered a delivery by just eat, food arrived on time and delivered by a polite person. When I checked the order it was wrong, contacted restaurant and got no joy at all even though it was their mistake. They wanted nothing to do with the error and told in no uncertain terms it's not their problem contact just eat for a refund. The lady on the phone was abrupt to the point of being rude. Will not use this place again.

Friendly service and got exactly what I ordered. It was reasonably priced, and all was super hot. Really positive experience and would recommend it.

I ordered the food at 5.18 and it arrived at 7.15 nearly 2 houslrs later

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ON JUST EAT!!! Absolutely awful food. I could have played tennis with the piece of fish I got. Batter was extremely rubbery, chips were not too bad. The delivery was running over half an hour late by the time we received it and to be honest the fish tasted like it had been in the couriers car for over an hour.

Probably wouldn't use this place again. Last time I visited was a few years ago. Frozen sausages fell out of the freezer onto the floor and were put back in, there used to be a pink haired lady there and occasionally strands of pink hair in the food. Otherwise the food is ok.

we received a totally different order ( Shelley W) driver was gone so quick we couldn't catch him, we contacted the lady above and warned that we had her order, whilst on the phone our order was delivered at her address, the driver didn't understand for a while what he had done, the lady persuaded him to bring ours back and pick up hers, everything by that time everything was stone cold!

The estimated delivery time kept changing for later and later to the point it was 30-45 minutes past the original time of delivery.

The food was cold, I am a regular customer and so disappointed.

Had a great meal yesterday afternoon had a half pounder and chips the burger has great I really enjoyed it and all the salad 🥗 in it too and the lady and the gentleman who served us was very quick and efficient and made us welcome I was with my brother at the time definitely would reckon it to other people You done well

Absolutely disgusting food and service. .ordered around 6pm and finally arrived 2 1/2 hours later, and only then after 3 conversations with frydays, who blamed the driver for not turning up to deliver. Despite being assured the food would be fresh as they don't start cooking until the driver arrives, what we got was barely even warm, the batter on both fish and mushrooms stale, and fit only for the bin. NEVER BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN
