Absolutely brilliant find. Great beer. Great music. Great barmaid. Pool table. What more do you need ? It was a quiet Sunday night in Carnforth until we found this place !

I can’t believe no one can make a go of this local pub, used to be a bouncing family local under bill since the one failed manager after another it’s disgusting. No kids after 8:30 and dead on a Saturday night it’s a shame punch taverns wrecking another local 😡

Brought my mother and daughter for Sunday dinner and we will not return. We were cold in a draft and asked to have the radiator turned on, this didn’t happen and eventually we had to ask to move tables after sitting with our coats on. Sunday lamb shank was fatty and came with roast potatoes covered in gravy so we’re not crispy. Key lime pie was disgusting couldn't eat it, synthetic and horrid texture. They did take this off the bill. The wall paper is coming off the walls by the radiators, toilets stink and disabled isn’t fit for purpose. Too low toilet with no grab rail to get up with. Chairs at the dining tables are so uncomfortable and cheap, dirty painted walls. Whatever happened to this place it used to be top notch, such a shame.

A really nice pub which is hard to find these days. The bar staff was quick and helpful. This place takes Cash and card best of both worlds. You can smoke here on the terrace which is above a river which was nice to have a drink outside even in November will go back to this lovely pub again.

I am diabetic I ordered a very weak line and soda. The amount of line cordial made it undrinkable. We offer roast beef Sunday roast. Within 3 minutes of ordering the meal it arrived. To begin with I thought I had ordered soup there was so much busy gravy it was swimming in it. The Yorkshire pudding was dry and stale the parsnips I had one tiny slither two hard roast potatoes and uncooked broccoli. Diners beware. You’d better getting a Birds Eye frozen beef in gravy. £48.00 for dreck.

We found this lovely pub a couple of months ago and we’ve now returned a few times for food. The staff are always welcoming & friendly, and we thoroughly enjoy the homemade food, and the Sunday roasts. We love the steak & ale pie, chicken tikka masala & the lasagne. The location is also beautiful.
