Just wow. The nicest ice cream EVER. The lady serving was lovely and the ice cream was amazing. Will deffo be going back next time we visit this area. Highly recommend.

The best fudge I have ever eaten. Lots of different flavors to choose from. The fudges are handmade, so they come in different shapes, sizes and weights. Prices are not the lowest, but it is worth it.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with ‘what do you want?’. Well darling, I don’t know, we have literally just walked into the shop. Very very rude woman. Probably in her 20’s, glasses and dark hair. We did get some overpriced fudge which was actually terrible. Stick to Rolys fudge in the Lake District.

The ice cream is good. But it's so overpriced! Like most things is Ambleside actually. But still, an extra charge for a spoon?! Also, the seller wasn't nice, and was especially disrespectful of my request to try and make a smaller portion for my daughter. It was enormous (and she couldn't finish half of it!).

Popped in here after a lovely lunch at Bellis. A great selection of ice creams. We had the rum & raisin and cool Britannia - absolutely delicious. There is another ice cream stand near the Rohan store, but I promise you the ones from the Old Bridge House are so much better!

Hi, I hate doing this kind of thing I came in Saturday evening ordered fish and chips waited 20 minutes which I don’t mind. Got back home. Chips were disgusting and the fish. I don’t even wanna talk about it. I don’t know if it was frozen. The batter was awful. I will not be going again and the only reason I went is because it just reopened so I wanted to try it but if anyone wants fish and chips, please avoid this place. Go somewhere else Because I threw mine in the bin. What a waste of money never again.

40-42 Branthwaite BrowWhat a cracking town pub this is. Since Steve and his team took over just under a year ago joined with an extensive refurb the place has just gone from strength to strength. Whether it’s live sport, karaoke, live music, disco night or just a quiet family drink there’s rarely a week that passes where the George fails to deliver. To top it off it’s probably the cheapest bar in town too. Keep up the good work a credit to the Kendal pub scene.

Stramongate BridgeOnly fault was coffee in a morning was warm not hot and water for tea pot should have been boiling but was only hot so spoilt taste of tea, thought hotel was depressing . Needs to be brightened up a bit dated.
