The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Staff very attentive and excellent, especially Yasmin, but food ok and massive prices, wine £35 for a bottle of house wine! Lovely restaurant, even with the rowdy group of women on a hen do or similar

Tomé un filete de costillas. El costo fue de £ 32. Esto vino con unas patatas fritas, 2 hongos y un tomate. Sentí que esto es bastante caro para lo que es. El filete estaba bien, pero no vale 32 libras. Tampoco me di cuenta de que había pagado por un cargo de servicio. El personal era amable, pero no diría que el servicio era increíble. Estaremos comiendo en otro lugar para el resto de nuestra estancia. El hotel está bien, habitación limpia, etc.

Amazing place, always pop into this pub when im wondering around town great friendly regulars nice sheltered smoking area and really frie bar staff Would highly recommend

Food was delicious. Service was great and very fast apart from me putting the wrong address in 😂😂😂everything went smoothly.

When we arrived at the pub at 6.00 last Thursday evening for a meal we were the only people in the restaurant, we placed our order to a lady in a fleece!!!! Not very professional, we placed our order starters & main course, we waited 45 mins for the meal to arrive, when it arrived it was our main course no starters my husband said to the the young lad where was our starters!!!! He said he didn't know we ordered starters did we still want them we said yes he came back & told us they had not been ordered, he took the main meal back & we asked him not to keep the meal warm & we don't want it to be heated up, another long wait for starters to come prawn cocktail was disgusting it was served on a limp dark lettuce leaf. After another long wait main meal arrived the sirloin steak meal I ordered was not very nice the steak was very light in colour it did not look like a steak & it was tasteless also the chips were frozen thin cut chips, think on we were the only People in the restaurant so they were not rushed of there feet. The ambiance of the pub could be better it is not a very good advert to see the double wall lights bulbs with only one bulb working in all of them!!! I wonder if they are short of money as it looks like they cutting down on funds which is not a very good advert for the customers. This pub was a great pub years ago & it looks like it is struggling, needs something done with the ambiance & better served meal!!!! This pub could lend itself of being a great pub with good meals!!!

5 of us visited the Millgate on Mothering Sunday for a meal. The meal was beautiful and very quick serving between each course. The lady that took our order was very pleasant and super efficient. The staff was was friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this place and most definitely frequent it again.

I popped in this morning after shopping at the Retail Park nearby. Was always passing the cafe so decided to have a look. Customer service was spot on,the lady who served me was lovely.I ordered a Bacon and Egg Balm which was bang on!I will deffo go back but will sit in nxt time and try something else off of the Menu. Prices are spot on and the options made my belly rumble!10 out of 10 for service,layout,scran and experience. This place may just be my new go to! I would recommend this Cafe.😋

Been to all fish and chip shop in Chorlton, this is the most tasty fresh fish , and fresh chips . Hidden gems , and The owner seem very nice man ,

Tomé un té encantador de la tarde aquí con amigos la semana pasada. El servicio era excelente - rápido y agradable y nuestra comida era increíble. Normalmente, hay demasiadas cosas dulces y no suficiente salado para mí en el té de la tarde, pero esto fue lo contrario, y me encantó! El nivel inferior tenía sándwiches abultados - huevo, queso, pollo - mientras que el nivel medio tenía un pedazo caliente de quiche cada uno y un rollo de salchicha caliente, que eran deliciosos. El nivel superior tenía un cono de sultana cada uno, que venía con crema coagulada y mermelada en un plato separado. También había una rebanada de pastel de café y una rebanada de pastel de limón cada uno, un mini pastel de esponja Victoria y un macaron cada uno. No había elección de té como en otros establecimientos, pero el té de desayuno inglés que nos sirvieron era simplemente encantador y caliente de todos modos. Teníamos otra olla de té entre nosotros y nos sorprendió que nos cobraron por esta olla adicional como normalmente, el té es ilimitado al tomar el té de la tarde. En general, sin embargo, esta fue una experiencia encantadora para nosotros y a £ 22 por persona, bien vale la pena el dinero. Definitivamente volveremos! Gracias por un tiempo encantador.

My partner ordered poached eggs the toast was cooked on one side only and cold. I had bacon sandwich which came looked like it had been bar B Q very burnt, very poor

We were introduced to Dam house by a friend a few months ago and we love coming here. We had breakfast and dinner previously but today we came for Sunday dinner which is £15 for main and dessert. Not only just excellent value, the food was excellent and home made. Better than a lot of pubs also. They also offer wine and beer. Our new favourite place and it’s a lovely building too. Cannot recommend enough!

Food amazing, staff fantastic not sure what the bad reviews is about but all I can say is there’s always one. Would definitely recommend just lovely. X

Great little cafe, I dropped on this place by chance and I’m really happy I went in. Lovely bacon roll, good coffee and the staff couldn’t have been more polite, friendly and helpful. It was nice and clean with a brilliant selection of hot and cold food, hot and cold drinks and they also sell Satterthwaites pies, sausage rolls cakes etc. I will definitely go back here if I’m in the area again.
