The food is really first class as are the staff. It is always popular but you can walk around the shop while a table becomes vacant. There are lots of food and gifts to explore.

As always the food is of a high quality. My steak pie was lovely as was the quiche and the rarebit. Food is always consistent but the added bonus are the ladies serving. They are delightful and nothing is too much trouble.

Used to visit here regularly and thought it was lovely, the service has been going downhill for a while but on the past two occasions we were pestered by flies!! The first time I put it down to a one off, but after having this problem again on sunday I won't be eating there again! at almost £10 for a jacket potato I expect to be able to eat it in peace and not having to keep wafting flies away!

Having travelled across Cheshire to visit some local gardens , came across this and it is not your average farm shop cafe . We were in need of some decent coffee and food we weren't disappointed. Very friendly and attentive just a bit slow in food coming out I appreciate it is freshly made. Although when it came there was bits missing but it was still very delicious. Although one of our party felt the Hollins Rarebit was a bit on the sweet side but saying that there was plenty of it. We then had to go to the shop to buy the biscuits which came with the coffee

Quality cafe wth good adjoining farm shop, near motorway junction. Service good and friendly, menu very limited and acceptable. Our choice was average, not good pastry on meat pie, little taste on fish cakes saved with non description sauce. Slightly expensive but pleasant surroundings.

The best ingredients are clearly being used here and the prices certainly reflect this. £7 for a sausage sandwich is probably the most expensive I have seen in a cafe. It was very tasty and I wouldn't have such an issue if the service wasn't so disorganised. We arrived and sat ourselves (it's not a restaurant after all) and had to call over a waitress after being ignored. We ordered with no issue and the food is freshly cooked, so it came after a short wait. However it arrived without our drinks which we had to ask for. They then had to be chased. My drink then arrived and was not what I ordered but was then changed without fuss. We then couldn't get a bill, so went to pay for a different member of staff to have no clue what we had eaten....It's great food at TOP prices as long as you don't mind a little chaotic service.

We were hailed with 'it's only coffee and cake now' as soon as we opened the door (this was 4.30pm). Not particularly welcoming but that's all we wanted anyway. Two smallish slices of (excellent) cake and two lattés, just shy of £13. Got the feeling we weren't particularly welcome and they wanted to close early, perhaps it had just been a busy day...

Service is always slow no matter what time of day I go, however, the food and drinks are always fantastic. Please just have more staff on and tables will clear much quicker and pay for the additional staff.

We waited ages for the tea to arrive and then half an hour for the Full English breakfast. When it did come everything was just about warm which begs the question of why it took so long. All tasted pretty good apart from the stone cold toast. The service was very poor - no apology for the delay, no asking if everything was ok and not a lot of charm. All round average experience for £25.

After feeling the service was a bit slow on our last visit we did, however, return and normal service was resumed. At 8.30am it was not very busy and the staff were friendly (as always) and attentive. We had a breakfast wrap, bacon sandwich (treacle bacon always delicious), poached eggs on toast, and a toasted teacake plus hot drinks and an orange juice (juicer for fresh broken but not a problem). The wrap and bacon sandwich were enhanced by mushrooms and half a tomato and the toasted teacake got the full berries and fruit coulis zigzag which was novel. All delicious, comfortable and friendly.

Am a regular and went in for breakfast earlyish. It was not that busy with a number of singles and a few couples. After order was taken (two poached eggs on toast) there seemed a long wait for it to come and for about 10 minutes no food came out of the kitchen at all. There seemed to be enough staff including chefs and what was coming out seemed to be bacon sandwiches etc.Had seen the notice on the door re "it is not fast food -but freshly cooked food served asap (not sure of all exact wording). Just seemed a bit sluggish and not as organised as usual.

Clean and friendly farm shop cafe. Above average food choices and above average prices. The Hollies is definitely worth a visit but is not cheap.

The Concept Cafe is within the Hollies Farm shop. We called for lunch and found it surprisingly busy for a Tuesday with a nice atmosphere. Tables are not too close together and service was exceptionally friendly yet still efficient. We chose two of the pies form the main menu, cheese and onion and steak and onion. Both were served with home-made chips (which did actually look and taste home-made) and also sausage and mash dish with a rich gravy. The food took a little while to come out (which the menu points out may be the case as its cooked to order) but we enjoyed good coffee while we waited. Portions are not huge but are perfect for lunch. The meals were tasty and good quality, no complaints.

Visited to look at the amazing Christmas displays that Bents have and they did not disappoint. Everything and anything you can think of for Christmas is here and beautifully displayed. The pop up food counters have now opened and we tried one of the large Yorkshire puddings filled with brisket and it was amazing. Definitely worth a visit especially with children as they will be amazed with all the sparkle of Christmas.

Waited over 40 mins for food, we ordered two roast beef dinners with extra potatoes. Firstly they brought the extra potatoes out first which where cold, few mins later the dinner arrived, the beef was very tough couldn’t cut it and the rest was cold , only thing hot was the extra pot of gravy. Staff seemed new as they didn’t really know what to do, apart from being told by some guy walking round on a laptop telling them what needed doing. When I complained I was either offered to have the meals recooked ( didn’t want to wait another 45 mins or a free dessert ( didn’t fancy a dessert after not eating my main. Still ended up paying for some thing I didn’t eat , very expensive for awful food , will not be returning !!

Awesome country pub with both spot on beers and cracking food. Awesome garden eating area. Better than other eateries in the area. They have a private area you can book for family occasions. Large car park. Definitely worth a visit

Absolutely loved our meal at the Jolly thresher, staff were so friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond., the bar man heard my Mum and I discussing the pump cider and without a word, gave us a taster to help us decide. Our meal was delicious, generous portions and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.
