Visited on a Sunday at 1pm - it was quiet and the staff were very welcoming. We were shown straight to a table and ordered promptly. It’s lovely to see a pub serve a smaller sized roast as I personally don’t have a large appetite. Food was lovely, service was great and my little boy loved the seasonal decorations - especially the skeletons

Great pub. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Play Park outside with lots of benches to sit on and eat. Massive soft play inside. Food is incredible! Especially the chips!! We all enjoyed our food. Service was amazing! There's a young girl working there and she looked after us from the moment we walked in! Absolute credit to the place! There are 6 of us. 2 adults & 4 children (3 of which are under 3!). It is a pub for families so expect sticky handprints & surfaces. But other than that I can't fault the place, staff or food!! Would 100% recommend!!!!

Went for a lunch with work. Unfortunately they didn't take blue light...carnt win em all. Was really quiet for a lunch time which was ok as we were served quickly from the table. The waitress was very polite and professional. Food arrived and was really good, I had the fish which was in my opinion a better quality than other pubs in the area. Prices were slightly higher though but not by much. Only down side was the music...maybe was someone's personal play list but it was a bit depressing as as the pub was deserted it made it feel more so, a little more upbeat and the experience would have been much better.

Completely empty and no atmosphere at all. Thursday evening 7pm Left feeling the place would be closed permanently soon. Food - Greene King menu done poorly, simple fish and chips - tough white fish Give it a try, make up your own mind. Absolute pity because it's a nice enough looking place, really has the potential to do well.

We came here for a change/somewhere different for tea, they had a offer on order a main and get another for £1, so the wife had a really lovely crispy fish batter to die for and the fish itself was very thick and white, I wanted a beef yorkie wrap but they had none in so I opted for a chicken Yorkie wrap with gravy both meals came with chips and peas, we was so full we didn't need a dessert

It was my two year old’s birthday party in the soft play area. Entrance for all the kids attending her birthday party was paid for in advance however all the parents were forced to pay entry again. There was no one to help me set up. other children were taking her food snacks and drinks off the table as well as balloons and decorations. I tried to complain twice but there was no help offered. They expected me to confront the other parents myself. I missed out on my child party completely. I was also overcharged fir the food and drink our orders on the menu. I had to ask four times for them to serve the drinks to two year old little kids and they kept trying to tell me that I have to pay extra for it however it was meant to be included.

First time visiting here, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food came out hot and all at the same time. It was a quiet Sunday so I'm not sure if this would be the same if it had been busy. My only grumble was no mash with any of the Sunday roasts ? Gravy a little salty and crumble was lacking in fruit. We would return .

Very noisy but understandable, it was sunday and full of children and we had our own grandchildren with us. Checking the menu online, prior to visit left me very disappointed with my actual meal, for a start the menu was slightly different to that online but the menu stated, slow cooked steak pie with mushrooms, roast onions, chips or mash and seasonal veg. It was actually a shop bought pie, no sign of mushrooms or onions and the veg was two very small slices of parsnip one slice of carrot and peas, all the meals were smallish portions and just generally not what I was expecting.

Used to love this place but never been with my pram before. Now I’ll never go again! I went on 2 buses in all weathers today to bring my kids to this soft play for them to have fun I have 2 boys ages 4/6 and a 6 month old baby, who was fast asleep. Well they ran around having some fun I had hoped to get half an hour to myself with a drink and some quiet time well baby slept , i just wanted to sit down and enjoy myself best I could too instead I ended up stud at the counter with my baby asleep because they wouldn’t let me take the stroller in. I asked for the manager he was no help either saying he understands as he has kids too! Well I’m sorry but he does not understand not a bit ! Waffling on saying it’s insurance policy absolute rubbish! I have been to plenty of soft plays with my kids and I have never once had an issue taking my pram in anywhere I don’t even have a huge pram it’s the bugaboo butterfly! And he said if he lets me in he would have to do it for others! Well maybe have a limit of how many ? It’s ok for wheelchairs though! Nothing against wheelchair users but it’s exactly the same thing. It’s ok to have tables plonked everywhere across the room too but not a pram! Why open a soft play for kids aimed at kids so obviously people will have pushchairs and then not allow babies in them especially young babies at that!!! I will never ever be back now I used to rave over this place and how reasonable the price is for the kids to play, but not anymore ! I also had to juggle my kid’s jumpers and baby bag and baby well my Child went to the toilet and tried to help him push the tap down to wash his hands as he couldn’t do it all well juggling a baby and all our stuff. You should be embarrassed of your service ! I would have walked back out but I promised my kids they could go which is the only reason I give the company my money!

I have low expectations of any pub with a soft play attached (hello Wacky Warehouses) but was pleasantly surprised by this pub. The food was fresh, hot, tasty and a good portion size. Lots of good healthy options on the children's menu too. I like that the pub is in two sections for families and people without children. Indoor play area is really great too and the staff in there were really lovely. Will definitely visit again.

Party of four on a Saturday for lunch. Check in noticed we didn’t have children so took us to secluded part of the restaurant where we wouldn’t be disturbed - nice touch. Waiting staff were prompt and cheerful. The menu was a bit ordinary but we found something for everyone. I had the steak pie and was delighted to find it a “proper” pastry encrusted delight rather than the modern trend of providing a casserole with a pastry lid. Altogether, an average meal served pleasantly without problems.

We visited on a very, very wet Tuesday lunchtime. I am guessing this is why it was very quiet. It was my first time at the George and Dragon and my partner's third visit. I was surprised at how big the George and Dragon is. There were approximately three other couples dining so plenty of space if you want a quiet lunch. We were greeted as soon as we entered and soon found a nice clean booth to sit at. Within a few minutes, we were brought the Lunch Club menu and the normal menu. We ordered our drinks: a glass of house red wine and an appletizer. Very nice house red. I had a chicken burger, and my partner had fish and chips. Both meals were good portions at a good price for a lunchtime offer. The only reason we haven't given the review 5 stars is for the fact that my partner's meal came with a chipped ramekin that had tarter sauce in it. As the lunchtime menu offers a desert for £3, I tried the chocolate Fudge cake with ice cream. Very nice indeed. To finish off, we had a cappuccino and a tea. Both drinks came with an absolutely delicious little chocolate cookie. My partner just happened to mention she can't eat milk chocholate. So Steph, who served us, brought her some shortbread. A very nice gesture and great customer service. Top tip: swop fries for the tripple cooked chips. I had fries with my burger, and they were nice. My partner gave me a few of her tripple cooked chips. Wow, probably the best chips I have ever eaten. I also had a little piece of her fish. Fish and chips for me the next time we visit. I can imagine the Geroge and Dragon being very busy as apart from excellent food and top-class customer service, it also has a large children's play area inside and outside. The car park is large enough to accommodate plenty of cars. We both highly recommend the Geroge and Dragon.

Family day out with a roast dinner. We chose this place because of the food reviews and huge indoor children's play area. This is a great place if the weather is awful and the kids want to play. The ply area is huge and the staff very helpful. We all ordered a roast dinner and there were clean plates all round. I ordered a gluten free vegetarian roast, they were very accommodating as the menu doesn't say they do gluten free or vegetarian, but they made it work no problem. They don't do gf Yorkshire puds. But they were happy for me to bring my own and heat it up. The only downside is that the food could have been more for what was charged, £17.95 for one long carrot, 2 veggie sausages, one broccoli, 2 dry roasties and gravy. Very well presented but more on the plate please. A bit of mashed potatoes and stuffing for us gluten free dinners would be great, or don't charge the full amount

There was no notice to say the area was closed. How are you supposed to know when you drive there if its closed for a party. Ridiculous. Had an extremely disappointing encounter at the George & Dragon - I paid for my two older children to go in and play only to be informed that I couldn't bring in the pram with my 11-month-old daughter, who was sleeping, due to "Fire Regulations." While I'd understand if this were accurate which I knew it wasnt. I then had a conversation with the manager only to reveale that it was simply the company's preference, not a fire registration which they've informed all the staff to say. Consequently, I was forced to wait by the counter with the pram while my other children played, which was ironic considering we were obstructing the sole fire exit.

Will never come here again, offered us dessert as compensation then told us there was only a couple of things left from the dessert menu which we didn’t like told them to forget about it. Food arrived 1 hour 45 minute later and had to be sent back it was that bad. AVOID AVOID AVOID

My wife and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening. We ate superb rump steaks presented by an excellent friendly and efficient service. I thoroughly recommend.

Fine - bit of noise from the road in the beer garden and very uncomfortable benches. Some barely off the floor

Visited The George and Dragon after shopping at Bents garden centre. It was lovely and the staff were great, we sat outside in the beer garden and our grandson played on the outdoor play area. The menu is extensive, and the food was delicious, and we will definitely be returning soon

Brilliant service, food was lovely. Grandchildren enjoyed the play area. I found it strange we had to pay for the Jungle Jim when we were eating at the establishment so was in and out of there when food had arrived in the pub area. Children enjoyed themselves which was the what we wanted.

Stopped in on the way past for a quick lunch, unfortunately I was really not impressed. The food quality was not great and served Luke warm. When we walked in I felt we were not made to feel welcome and even though the pub was extremely quiet. Will definitely not return especially with having other places on the door step in cultcheth.

Overall, our experience here was enjoyable. The space was clean and roomy, and we appreciated being seated away from families with children. Additionally, there were ample parking spots available, which made the visit convenient. Our meals were quite enjoyable, especially the sirloin steak, which I had. One aspect that could be improved is the service. Despite the hostesses bringing us more drinks, they seemed reluctant to collect our empty glasses, even though they had an empty tray to take them away. As a result, the table became congested with empty cups and glasses, making it challenging to enjoy our food fully. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience at the pub and would recommend it to others. The space was clean, the food was tasty, and the coffee was great. If the service improved, it would be an even more enjoyable experience.

5 of us went for Mothers Day, for Sunday lunch, and even though it was very busy, the staff were great, especially Brittany who was very friendly and welcoming, and very attentive. The food was great, and reasonably priced. They have an adults only section which was great too and nice and quiet. Will definitely be back!

I used to love this pub but everything is now so average and still expensive. I took the dog and the pub itself is still nice to be in but it's not good enough for the cost. I had a mixed grill £18, no better than anything I'd expect in Weatherspoon's for half that price, dry chicken and rubbery meat reminding me of the old little chef's. The beer was over £6 a pint, there's just no point in going into this pub anymore.

After visiting The Raven Inn for the first time today, I can hand on heart say that it is one of the cosiest pubs with lovely bar staff and some of the best pub grub about! Attentive staff, quick service and really reasonably priced too! We’ll definitely be coming back, thank you for your great hospitality! 😁 (Don’t listen to the bad reviewers they clearly have no taste!) x

Really great with kids, as they eat for £1. A good place for nice food that isn't too expensive
