The best restaurants serving British food in Warrington North West

We took our dog a walk in Lymm Village and called in for a meal. We had booked earlier for a dog friendly table. The pub was busy and our table was a bit cramped, so we moved to a table with more space. Our food order was quickly taken and delivered to us piping hot and within a short wait. The meal was delicious, as usual, and we were delighted again.

Excellent food, excellent staff. Glad you got your vegetables included in the price. Always bugs me when pubs / restaurants charge extra for veg so thank you and top marks for including the vegetables in the price. If I have to find a fault I thought starters were a bit dear but don't let that put you off. Food was wholesome and plentiful. Will go back again and get someone else to drive this time :)

We have been here so many times and loved it, celebrating many a special occasion but our last visit for lunch I don’t know what went wrong. 1pm on a sunny Saturday I’d expect it to be bustling but there was only one table occupied. We sat out the back as it was a beautiful day but the outside was untidy and unclean. All the staff during our very short visit were just sat around on their phones. We were served very a limp, tasteless panini that we couldn’t even finish with brown turning lettuce on the side. If I wanted a disappointing lunch I would have had lunch at home!

Would be 1 star but got a refund we had been on along car journey home and called at the crown for a late lunch we waited ages for the food we had steak paninis which we have had loads of times and always come cooked thru no blood today they were blue my sweet potato fry’s were stone cold we took the meat off and took home for the dog 2 girls and chef sat at a table never asked was everything ok went to bar told the girl who had no intreast just smiled and asked for payment as we walked past the other girl I asked who the manager was she said James and asked why told her and she gave a refund if there going to do steak so pink they need to ask how we want it a good vet could of brought it back to life

Came for tea and food was great however the middle aged woman who works here with blonde hair and glasses is very rude, miserable and snappy when she serves you, there’s no need, she comes across as very unhappy in her job and her miserable face makes you feel uncomfortable. All the other staff are lovely but shes the complete opposite.

A delicious breakfast with a good choice of food and plenty of hot coffee. I had a cheese , tomato and mushroom omelette, my husband had a full English breakfast, all freshly cooked and served with a smile!

We’ve been here three times with my elderly Dad over the last few weeks and the welcome could not have been better. Leanne was amazing . Strongly recommend to anyone wanting a friendly face.

The food is really first class as are the staff. It is always popular but you can walk around the shop while a table becomes vacant. There are lots of food and gifts to explore.

Our local cafe in Birchwood Shopping Centre just stepped up it's game to another level. Always a great breakfast spot but the speed of service today was incredible...no sooner had we sat down with our excellent coffee our breakfast arrived...the lady making the meals up was listening as we ordered and started putting our food together as we were paying... very slick professional service and great value food. Many thanks, we are lucky to have such a great local cafe we can walk to.

Lovely food, home made and delicious. Also, reasonably priced. Service was excellent too, friendly and obliging. We will certainly return.

Ordered our lockdown tea treat of fish and chips was absolutely delicious fish and chips were fresh and tasty curry and peas mmmmm deffo be ordering again

Had a lovely lunch at the Jolly Thresher this week with three old friends. The service was exemplary and Craig looked after us very well. The food was delivered promptly and the menu choices were more than adequate. I had the gammon and others enjoyed their fish and chips. The place was clean and tidy and free from overbearing music! Will definitely return.

Worst Sunday dinner I’ve ever had

Nice bar food especially the wings. Kids food was also decent.
