We have been here so many times and loved it, celebrating many a special occasion but our last visit for lunch I don’t know what went wrong. 1pm on a sunny Saturday I’d expect it to be bustling but there was only one table occupied. We sat out the back as it was a beautiful day but the outside was untidy and unclean. All the staff during our very short visit were just sat around on their phones. We were served very a limp, tasteless panini that we couldn’t even finish with brown turning lettuce on the side. If I wanted a disappointing lunch I would have had lunch at home!

I ordered the Bus Stop Breakfast and my wife ordered the granola, yogurt and berries. Sausages barely booked and barely warm with little colour on the outside. Scrambled eggs resembled a cut up omelette, over done and little butter. Hash browns and black pudding both missing (I only noticed after I left). Never got offered any sauce and asked for an extra plate which never came and had to ask again. Not very attentive staff. Granola, yogurt and berries only had strawberries and no other type of berries. Clearly we feel that we have paid for something we never got and what we did get was poor.

I called in for a coffee and was made very welcome by the staff Coffee was really good as was the service. The staff were really nice very friendly and the lady who was in charge was lovely,she was especially nice to the staff working with her. Lovely place really clean and very friendly

When this cafe first opened the menu and drinks were excellent. We would come weekly. Over time it’s declined , sadly. When you go in the door, a strong smell of kitchen cooking hits you. Is there a problem with the ventilation? Waitresses were dressed in sports gear - I’d expect this in a proper greasy spoons cafe. Service was pleasant enough but wouldn’t rush back. Such a shame.

Came here on a quiet Thursday with my friend and was overall very disappointed. Think there may have been a change in ownership since I last came as it wasn’t as I remembered. The pancakes I ordered were a very strange texture… dry and crumbly! Not sure how you can mess up pancakes but they were not enjoyable. The coffee was also average. The service was fine but took a while to be served and the waitress or owner (not sure) wasn’t especially warm or chatty which I think is a nice touch in a small cafe. I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon!

Dropped in for Breakfast and very impressed by the level of service and quality of the food. Breakfast wrap, Eggs Benedict and lovely coffee. Very pleasant staff and a great atmosphere.

Had breakfast here after seeing the great reviews online. I was rather disappointed. Our waitress was lovely and friendly and the best part of this place. However it is very small and people brush past your table constantly. The food was average and was left waiting on the pass with no heat lamp for 5minutes without the chef ringing the bell, when he noticed the waitress was busy he took the plates away and left them in the kitchen for a further 5 minutes. It’s also very of putting seeing the chef chomping on food continuously whilst preparing meals.

Been here a few times now. A surprisingly extensive menu covering breakfast & lunch. Food is all freshly prepared & really good quality. Nice friendly staff & a warm welcome. Much prefer the individuality of this small independent rather than a "chain" outlet. Courtyard garden for warmer weather, dog friendly too. I believe they are able to cater for small functions such as birthday parties. Definitely my go-to for coffee & food from now on!

Amazing brunch, food was lovely and our eggs were perfectly cooked. Added bonus is that they serve alcohol so I had a cheeky mimosa too! We sat in the outdoor area which is a great little sun trap, and it's dog friendly. The staff were great and very attentive. Best breakfast in Stockton Heath!

Lovely little gem on the way out of Stockton Heath towards Morrison's. Had a window seat so we could people watch. Right from entering we knew we were in for a treat. Service was first class, menu was extensive and even offered an all day breakfast. I settled foe the eggs Benedict ( probably the best i have had). My partner had a tuna melt Panini that came with salad, crisps and coleslaw. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to the staff, made us very welcome

I can’t rate the food because we didn’t stay to eat. Myself & my Mum walked in on Thursday 8th September at around 12.40pm to only two other tables. We sat down & waited. We waited for just over 5 mins to not be acknowledged by the lady walking in & out of the back. No hello. No I’ll be right with you. No menu. No drinks order. The venue wasn’t even busy with two tables of two people. In the end we got up & walked out. We won’t bother going again. Customer service at its worse.

AMAZING!! Fabulous gluten free menu!! I could literally order EVERYTHING from their breakfast menu & they could serve gluten free. It was so nice & refreshing to have the same choice as everyone else for a change. Food was delicious, service amazing! Highly recommend this place.

I had breakfast on my own and i highly not recommend this place, just pretentious menu , unfortunately they don’t deliver what they promise.

Lovely food (the English Breakfast was brilliant), great coffee (my benchmark) and pleasant atmosphere. The manager was very friendly and professional - she even showed us their "secret garden" at the rear which is also dog-friendly. Overall a great little find. Highly recommended.

The waitress who serve us (Megan) was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly and pleasant. Very nice to see someone who is very bubbly even at busy times.

Lovely little restaurant in Stockton Heath warrington. A great choice for gluten and/or dairy Free, separate fryer so the food is safe. The lady that runs it is very knowledgeable and the food is great! I’ve eaten here a few times now...from Mexican salads, fish and chips and a great breakfast (trust me the small Breakfast is enough).Coeliac safe, covid safe, great service, reasonable prices ... what’s not to love. It’s my new go to for breakfast or lunch.

Wow this bistro (cafe) is super cosy. Love the log burner nice touch soon warms you up. Staff lovely and friendly.We were able to choose from the breakfast or lunch menu even at 1pm which was nice.I ordered the 'American' pancakes can I just point out they're not American. When that term is used you expect thick round etc. These were just normal 3 skinny pancakes. The food was still delicious. We had a slight issue with one order which was wrong but it was soon rectified.

We arrived around 12 noon, and were advised we could choose from either the breakfast or lunch menu’s - a welcome change from so many other places that impose rigid cut breakfast cut-off times. Service was very efficient, Covid-19 precautions strictly applied and our omelettes were amongst the best we’ve had in ages. Would definitely return, and recommend.

So had a stressful morning planned doing a first contact for a young lady and our original booking cancelled last minute so frantic phone calls and I stumbled across this place. From first contact and explaining our situation Megan was amazing. We had a very successful visit with yummy food and great atmosphere. But the thing that will stay with me is the level of service and the Fab staff. I was overwhelmed by Megan’s care and empathy. I can’t recommend this fab Bistro enough

Great venue for small wedding with fab cocktails and food. The service was great, and Meg did such a great job making it the perfect day for the Bride and Groom.

We booked in advance to take advantage of the "eat out to help out" government scheme. My wife had heard good things about this relatively new restaurant and we were looking forward to trying it out.We live in the same village so was only a short walk away. Nice welcome and was shown to our reserved table.Food and drinks arrived promptly. One tiny little niggle was the Wife's burger had a snapped cocktail stick in the burger. My wife reported it and the the hard working female reported it to the chef. No big deal. These things happen.Fully recommend trying out this small quirky establishment.

Sadly not what we expected, place has a musty smell staff made out we were an inconvenience as has not booked and were told we could have table for 1 hr despite it being empty, food was dull to say the least...cold and no flavour. Waitress uninterested in anything other than moaning and slagging people off to cook in kitchen. Crap experience and will not return or recommend. Not cheap either for what we were served

Called into the bus stop bistro a lot for lunch and would highly recommend the food. The chief food was excellent well presented and was very tasty. The staff are lovely and friendly and very welcoming. Have recommend it to my friend who have visited as well and love the bus stop bistro as well.

Friendly and cute decor however all of our orders had something wrong with them be it an item that we didn’t want or a exchange that wasn’t requested. I was given the wrong meal however it was too busy for us to bring attention to this and I ended up informing them half way through and just eating it. No reduction was given but 10% off for next time. We enjoyed our time there but was a bit pricey for the mismatched meals.

My daughter had a birthday lunch with her friends here. Megan who looked after them was so lovely. She decorated the table before they arrived & really made my daughter’s birthday extra special. The food & coffees is so nice x everyone must try this little place. It’s very welcoming & perfect relaxing place to eat x

Been here a few times and it's always been hit and miss for us. On this occasion there were 4 of us for brunch. We had booked so we're seated straight away no problem.I ordered the eggs Benedict and a large latte, think it was 7 or 8 pounds for the food which is pricey for what you get but to be expected in the village.Main issue with mine was that the hollandaise sauce was very cold, as in a jar from the fridge cold, bit odd with warm eggs / bread etc. My coffee tasted great but could hardy be described as large for the price.The Mrs opted for a vegan avacado on toast breakfast but it had an egg on it so not particularly vegan after all, not an issue as she isn't actually vegan anyway but we were still charged for the more expensive non vegan version on the bill.The kids, well teens, opted for English breakfasts and upon telling the lady serving they didn't want this or that on the plate they were offered alternatives which they took. Said alternatives ended up on the bill and when we enquired we were told, in a fairly rude fashion, that they didn't exchange meat for non meat items (mushrooms for a sausage etc) however this was not mentioned at all at the time.To their credit the bill was altered and they even gave us a 10% off voucher for next time.Like I've said we've been here multiple times and it's been spot on but other times it's been disappointing. Its also fairly expensive for what you get.

Visiting from the North East for a couple of days and we popped in for a late breakfast. Absolutely lovely! Food was delicious and the service was brilliant. Really welcoming and great with our two girls. Thank you for the milkshakes! Highly recommend!

Impromptu night out with friends, excellent customer service, the new chef has only been there a couple of days and was friendly and flexible with our requests given the reduced menu that they are operating with at the moment!Enjoyed it that much we booked a breakfast reservation to bring our children and to sample the rest of the menu!

We went for a work lunch and we had the "Bus Stop Burger" and "Buttermilk Chicken Burger". They were both lovely and would fully recommend and we would definitely visit again. The staff were very friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere.

Stopped by chance for breakfast!Staff were attentive and friendly. Reasonably priced - all food was fresh and it has a good veggie menu! Delicious coffee too!My avocado ciabatta and poached eggs had a little egg shell on the plate. The server noticed (I didn’t bring it up) and they gave us a complementary cake to apologise! Lovely little business!

Served by Megan who was helpful and efficient, had two large breakfasts and an eggs Benedict, all the food was hot and tasty and of good quality. With drinks the bill was 39 90 which I don't think is unreasonable.

The smallest breakfast muffin ever! 1 slice of bacon 1 sausage & poached egg on a very small muffin £7.95. Nicely presented & served quickly but left feeling hungry & short changed. American pancakes much bigger portion. Waitress was very abrupt & not very pleasant. Told they were closing at 3pm the minute we stepped through the door at 2.10pm & we’re not made to feel very welcome. Left at 2.45pm. Total bill came to £21 for 2 coffees, 1 tiny breakfast muffin & 3 American pancakes with bacon.

We dropped in for lunch and a couple of drinks. The service was great as usual and the Salt Beef Hash from the specials menu was amazing

My wife and I went for a late lunch with our child and ordered two avocado ciabattas and a portion of halloumi fries to share. The food arrived after 47 min it and was disappointingly small, hence i feel the bill was proportionally too high. The food itself was very nice but we left still hungry. Good changing facilities were available. The waitress/manager was very friendly but no acknowledgement or warning was made around the waiting time which was very disappointing.

We arrived about 2.15pm, ordered 2 avocado ciabattas and one halloumi fries to share shortly after. Food arrived at 3.07. The place was not full at all. So even if everything was done from scratch, I didn't expect it to take this long. Apparently there was only 1 chef in the kitchen (although he really wasn't alone in there, there was someone else with him). Anyway, I would have appreciated a warning if that's the case as we definitely would have gone somewhere else. Also, a couple arriving way after us, only waited for a very short time for one of theirs dishes to arrived. Wonder what they had to say to get it so quickly..... The food was very nice. Very nice flavours, and the egg was cooked to perfection. However, the portion size was ridiculous. It was not a slice of ciabatta, it was HALF a ciabatta slice at the most. We were still hungry afterwards. If it wasn't for the fries, it would have been even worse.

My Son asked if he could have his birthday breakfast here, as usual this place did not disappoint. Reserving a table online is an easy process and we got our favourite table by the window, near the amazing fire place. Greeted as soon as we arrived by the lovely manager, she was so attentive and friendly. Really engaged with my Son, who loves to chat. Menu is bigger I think, more options been added. Food was amazing - never had a bad dish here. My Son adored his pancakes. Never feel rushed, even though the place is packed out. My fave place to come, thank you for making the start of my Sons birthday celebrations so special.

I am pretty sure I paid £19.95 for a cheese and onion pasty and brownie from Iceland it was served with a flat glass of Prosecco though, however almost 20 quid for a 2 for £2 pasty is scandalous if I go for afternoon tea I expect at least a sandwich not a pasty and a brownie cut into 4 pieces, shocked at the service from the woman who was serving at the baby shower as well, rude and made me feel like I was being a pain and “greedy” when I asked if there was any vegan sandwich’s ... won’t be coming again which is a shame as I want to support business that provide vegan options but frozen food from Iceland I can do that at home, thanks but no thanks

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast/brunch today. Party of 8 and we were catered for well. No long wait for food and our waiter was particularly helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the food very much, full english, kids pancakes, veggie breakfast and eggs Benedict were all excellent and nothing was too much bother for the waiter. Our first visit, but we'll definitely return.

Very poor today. Eggs benedict was the worst I’ve ever seen. My wife had this and I did complain about the insipid cold sauce that was spooned over the eggs and uncooked white bun they sat on. The staff apologised and my wife didn’t want to wait for a second effort to arrive AND we were billed for it

went for brunch today 26 December food took an hour to arrive. Waiting on staff served our drinks then ignored us for the rest of the ime we were in there until it came time to pay. Staff need to be more attentive to the customers. We were never offered a 2nddrink even though we sat there with empty cups on the end of the table for 40 minutes. Brunch arrived without the beans toast and butter we had to ask for these. Having said this the food was so tasty and I would go back because the food was soooo good.

This used to be my favourite cafe in the village I can only assume it’s changed ownership? Went in for brunch we were given menus and made our choice we were then told we could only order off the breakfast menu as the lunch one did not start until 12.30, half an hour away. No problem we re ordered 2 tea cakes and avocado brunch and veggie breakfast then we sat and waited and we waited. After half an hour we saw the chef just stood looking out obviously not cooking so we asked if it would be much longer. Just a few minutes more- ok no problem. We then waited some more until finally a member of staff came and started with let me be honest with you..... it appears the avocado was no good so they had sent out for some. That would not have been a problem at all - out of their control. It wa the lack of communication, service and fro t of house leadership that was the let down so we left and ended up having had nothing at all bar drinks which we paid full price for. We will not go back. No longer my favourite place. Just better communication in future guys may help.

Myself and 7 friends booked for our evening Christmas get together, what a fab choice, intimate,cosy, soft music, food was excellent and Megan and her team were amazing. been here loads of times for breakfast and lunches and always been happy. If you haven’t tried it please do, you won’t be disappointed. You wait slightly longer as everything is cooked to order, but worth the wait. Thank you 5*****

We had a lovely catch up with great friends. It was our first time here. My wife has dietary demands and we let the restaurant know in good time. They went above and beyond to try and create pancakes to and unusual Keto recipe. Huge thanks. The young lady who served us was excellent.

Arrived, ordered a sandwich and drink. Waited for over 65 minutes for food to arrive. No apologies for delay. Apparently received a discount for the wait. 0.49p. This was an extremely disappointing experience. I will not return to this restaurant.

My family gave me 2 parties here over the weekend, Saturday for friends, buffet style, and Sunday for family, an amazing roast dinner!

Popped in for a coffee and glad I did. Absolutely lovely independent coffee shop bar and restaurant all rolled into one. I will definitely go back. This is an independent business and one that deserves support. If you haven’t visited then just do it - I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

We held my husbands party on saturday evening and I cannot thank the staff enough for making it a wonderful night.The staff were incredibly helpful and all the guests commented on what a lovely venue and service. The buffet was also very nice and appreciated by all.

I wasnt 100% sure what to expect from my first visit to The Bus Stop cafe with my family last Saturday night. However I was not disappointed. I was very pleasantly surprised .The Italian chef makes genuine fresh pasta . The Lobster Ravioli was delicious, the service excellent, and all for a reasonable price. We shall definitely be returning.

We visited with my young family at the weekend and it was exactly what we were looking for, the surroundings were cool and comfortable. The staff were thoughtful and considerate to my children's need by turning adults meals into kids portions and best of all as a Coeliac I was fully catered for. There was a wide variety of food available to for me and on request the dishes I wanted were freshly made to suit my condition. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the food was considering I had indulged due to available choice.We will definitely return for breakfast, as my condition often makes breakfast out a non starter - Greggs certainly doesn't support the Coeliac's. One of the worst places I’ve eaten. I went with friends for Saturday brunch. Wasn’t busy but we waited nearly an hour for our food. We noticed two couples left as they wouldn’t wait any longer.

I have been twice for breakfast and have not been disappointed! It's a little bit more expensive than your average breakfast stop but it is worth the money. We have now been for my birthday breakfast and my husband's and we will be back. Staff are friendly and courteous.
