Food The lattes, which are normally served in those fancy glass cups, came in builders’ mugs this time—really disappointing. They’d even run out of vanilla syrup, so that was a letdown. My mates ordered breakfasts, and while they were okay, they were just your bog-standard fry-ups. As for my panini, it wasn’t toasted, barely warm, and falling apart. It was doughy and sloppy because it hadn’t been toasted properly. I only managed to eat half before feeling sick. Honestly, it was shocking. I even asked for a simple cheese toastie, and they refused to make it! Meals we saw coming past us didn’t look much better, which put one of my friends off eating anything at all. Service When we got there, there were no tables free, and they don’t have any sort of plan for it. I asked them to reserve a table for four, but they refused because it was “same-day.” So, we had to awkwardly stand around, watching people eat, waiting for someone to leave. Felt like hawks circling prey—so uncomfortable for us and for everyone eating! When a table finally became free, a group of elderly people came in and the staff told them they could have it. What could we do? So, we had to wait even longer. Why don’t they just get those pager systems to avoid this chaos? It didn’t get any better once we were seated. We had to clear the table ourselves because it was covered in dirty pots, and they didn’t even wipe it down. There were loads of tables piled up with pots everywhere. The staff looked completely unorganized, slamming food and drinks down without even asking who they belonged to. Atmosphere The staff didn’t smile or talk—they just seemed miserable and uninterested. The whole place felt chaotic and a bit grubby with all the dirty tables. I used to really like coming here, but after this experience, I won’t be back. Final Thoughts I wanted something simple, like a cheese toastie, and they couldn’t even do that for me. The photos say it all—basic, sloppy food and zero care. Such a letdown, especially when it used to be a decent café. They need to sort themselves out because I’m definitely not recommending it to anyone.

We have visited this pub on numerous occasions over the years, and generally enjoyed it. However, we visited for lunch (Saturday 23rd) and were really disappointed. Firstly we made the mistake of eating in the bar, very cliquey, the ladies working in the bar were far more concerned with the regulars than myself and my wife, but that is fine, we were there for food nothing else ( they also turned over the television while I was watching the football, but hey ho) Now to the food, I don’t know if this place has changed hands/chef/ suppliers or all three, but the food was terrible, the pate that used to be so tasty was awful, the onion rings, were so greasy and tasteless, the cheese and onion pie was stodgy like damp cement, and the coffee like dishwater. The chips, chutney and sauces were very nice though Did we complain, no we did not, the reason being, the ladies behind the bar were completely dis-interested in us, didn’t ask if we enjoyed our food or wanted any dessert, we finished, paid and left, probably never to return, it is a real shame that this place has fallen so far, it was a real gem, WAS!!

This 'establishment is terrible. How it exists as a food & a beverage destination and under the banner of hospitality is a miracle. I cant describe the chaos and mishaps along the way with our experience. The menu didn't come any where near the menu on the web site that originally tempted us too book. We were told "oh yes we know it. is a mistake". To add insult to injury after our very very average meal we asked why the table next to us had what appeared to be a better menu it was explained they had the Christmas menu. Asked why we weren't offered we were told you didn't order it. We showed the them that our menus that didn't have a Christmas menu in it; so then it was just a shrug and "Oh dear, it was just a mistake"!! We were told there was no wine menu with no beer. How on earth this establishment survives and how customers tolerate this substandard service is beyond me and my guests. Even prebooking was terrible the web site assured me they would confirm my booking with in 24 hours and I spent the following day constantly phoning the restaurant to see if my booking was accepted. I could go on as there wasn't single part of our visit that wasn't a shambles. We did feel sorry for on young girl who was completely out of her depth. She was so willing , pleasant and completely untrained. I do hope she finds a better restaurant to work in where her obvious talents for hospitality and be used to a far better advantage. Its no wonder hospitality is struggling to find willing staff when sharks like the owner of the Courtyard Huntley are making a living out of fleecing customers and staff alike. I am perfectly happy to substantiate my review should anyone wish to contact me, especially the owner.

Best part of £50 spent on breakfast - drinks took a while to come, but they were cold by the time our food came. Orders were wrong and one of the sausage sandwiches was sent back due to the sausages being barely cooked. Yes, they had a sign saying to bare with them as they'd just reopened, but the prices are expensive for what it is and I doubt we'll be going again anytime soon.

Sadly it wasnt great. We went for late lunch, around 2pm. I paid for a "small carvery" and literally got a small " camping" plate!. I went up to the carvery and must have waited around TEN minutes and no-one appeared to serve me. I went to ask at the bar and was told "Oh, I will get them to come out"!!! Surely they should've been waiting for people. I got one piece of very dry turkey, veg, gravy but NO potatoes! There were no roast potatoes. I asked and was told " Oh I will check with the chef". I stood there with a plate full of food going cold (who has a cavery without roast potatoes!) for at least five minutes to be told "Oh its going to be 5/6 minutes!. He then said he would bring them over to me at my table! What is the point to that, as obviously my food would have been cold by then. I ate my food and my potatoes came once I had finished my meal. Absolute shambles. Very young and uninterested staff. We eat out a lot and we went there as my mum used to go there for special occassions in the past. I wanted to check it out. We will not be frequenting the place again. To be fair Alex (no idea who he was but presumably the manager) asked my partner whilst I was in the toilet if we could give a "review" of him and his "customer service". Whilst he was very polite and served us well, his staff definately need some extra training. The carvery food was dry, sparse and obviously at 2pm they couldnt be bothered. I write very fair reviews, and if its good I will say so, but this was very lacking. Sorry but the "Farmers Arms" need to up their game. Not acceptable.

Went in here today, kids still in pub till late hours. Presume landladies. Running and screaming everywhere. While she stood at bar with what looked like wine. Shameful
