Great fish and chips ! Great prices to , staff are always helpful and they have some great deals on . They even have meals for the local community who are struggling with the cost of living ! Would highly recommend! Monday Fish and chips for £4.99 who can complain at that ! Especially when it's freshly cooked infront of you !

Got home to half the order missing, 2 sausages, peas and a gravy missing. Not difficult really! Paid £14 for 2 chips and gravy as everything else was missed off!

Have visited here are many occasions at dinner time (proper Lancashire dinner time which is noon) and they do dinner deals at great prices. £2.20 for chips sausage and choice of peas gravy curry or spicy curry. Also £3.20 for any pie chips and peas gravy or curry. Always friendly staff and great food.

Been using Viccy Chippy for a few years. Always an excellent standard of food. delicious. The staff are lovely. Stan the owner does lots of charity collections, and has special cheap kids meals on when he can, usually in the school holidays. The best, tastiest, fish & chips for miles.

You can tell their produce is fresh and made on the day. The chips are perfect and the scallops are to die for. Beautiful fish. Curry sauce and gravy second to none. Always smiling, happy staff. Love it.

Steak pudding, chips and curry sauce. Excellent quality and value. I could have eaten more...but that was mainly because it was delicious.

Went here tonight at around 8pm, waited for fresh chips and asked for all items separate, staff do not listen to preference of this and chip portion sizes are awful

Called in just as it was closing - everything had sold our but they still took the time to heat a couple of pies, curry sauce and a bun. Great value and great service with a smile and friendly chat this is someone who cares about what they are doing and that is priceless!

All i can say really is the chips were over cooked and soggy. But the worst thing for me was the size of the portions. The smallest 'regular' chips portion i ever had.

By far the worst chippy tea we’ve ever had. The portions were so small (the price did not reflect that!) the Fish were soggy and very greasy. All meals were cold despite us only living round the corner. They’ve been good it the past but absolutely awful tonight. Really put us off visiting there again

Last had the 'Monday special' (or some weekday my wife pointed me to) - Fish and chips at a fixed price - sorry guys, but is was awful! Luke warm stodgy chips and under cooked fish that wasn't connected with the batter and greasy (I assume fat not hot enough?) - Thing is, as a local, would I go back? sadly not

Well, we probably had the worst Fish & Chip tea from The Victoria Chippy. We thought we'd treat ourselves to the attractive Fish & Chips offer for £2.99. The fish was greasy and the chips undercooked and oily too. Yuck!

Called in on Friday lunch, ordered large sausage and chips twice. When I got home the chips were undercooked, the sausage had what I presume was bone or grissle in it. I ordered a large carton of gravy and was only when I got home I found I had been given a small one but charged for a large. Won`t be going again and neither will my friends.

Always a pleasure visiting here, let down by limited opening hours. Limited street parking and a reasonable product range.

I have been to this chippy 3 times in the last 5 month's the 2 prior visits I had fish chips and peas, when I got the food home I unwrapped them only to find the fish and chips were dripping with fat, I had to throw them away they were not fit to eat. I called 2 days ago thought I would give them another chance had fish chips and peas again this time when I got them home I opened the wrapper to find again everything dripping with fat but this time it smelt of old burnt fat and the chips were under cooked, so again it all went in the bin. I told some friends about it they said it was the same for them and now got to the chippy just around the corner on the main road. So if you fancy fish and chips in lostock hall don't go anywhere near the Victoria chippy the food will make you ill. I will never go in there ever again

Having been stuck in traffic that was even worse than usual, we took a spur of the moment decision to stop at the Hare and eat instead of enduring rising blood pressure. I'm so glad we did. Dinner was just what the doctor ordered and the fun banter with our waitress, Fabbey ensured we really enjoyed our visit and our frustration was replaced with smiles. Excellene service.

was served yesterday by a lovely lad named louis who was friendly, chatty, and let us pick our own table out of a few we were offered. we had the carvery and it is always amazing- we stack our plates very high and there is always loads to choose from!! thankyou!

Opted for the Sunday lunch carvery which was very tasty with the turkey being a particular highlight. A large selection of vegetables were available to compliment the meats. Caverys can be hit or miss and this was just about a hit. Roast potatoes, mash, brussel sprouts and yorksires were top notch. The remaining vegetables were a bit soggy and bland. Midweek lunch was better. The wooden table and chairs made it feel like I was at school again. The tables had glass tops which just felt odd and could if done with a good wipe down. The alternative menu was extensive with a wide range and varied selection of burgers of all shapes and sizes available. There is a beer garden and a large free carpark Friendly and effective service (you're kind of left alone) meant we had a nice couple of hours.

Been many times for drinks but had dinner for the first time on Saturday and it was fantastic. I had a steak pie which was lovely. I’ll definitely be returning!
