Absolutely great. Very helpful and approachable staff. Friendly and understanding of our needs. Excellent experience.

Food was not good. My partner had to send her food back as the rice wasn’t cooked. My brownie came with watery ‘sauce’ that just tasted like cocoa powder mixed with water. It was cold also. The crumble was just very jelly like and the custard was stiff. Service was very good, handled well. Wonderful lovely staff.

Had an amazing Sunday Lunch at the Brown Hare, Tried the Trio of Roasts, and it was absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked meats, fluffy Yorkshire pudding, and rich, flavourful gravy. The portion size was generous and the sides were just as impressive. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better , Great value for money and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back! Highly highly recommend. Special shoutouts to Beth, Alana & Joe.

Called in for an early evening meal. Food was really good, service was very good and the staff were very friendly and courteous.. Will be going again.

Customer service on arrival was excellent, warm and friendly welcome. Even though the place was very busy staff were speaking to customers and assuring them of the progress of their order. Food was of a high quality and good portion sizes. Parents with 2 teenage daughters and there was something to suit all tastes incl. vegetarian. Will definitely be back.

Warm greeting on arrival, escorted to table . Waitress/Beth courteous, friendly and helpful with good recommendations and knowledge of dishes. Overall a good experience in a pleasant atmosphere. Food was good, would recommend.

We booked last minute and the manager couldn’t do enough for us. Our waitress Beth was very attentive and made sure we were well looked after. The food was delicious and served fresh and hot. Will definitely come back.

Went for breakfast only to discover they didn’t actually have it on the menu, however Sacha was more than accommodating. He put together a full English breakfast for us, with a side of hash browns! Really great service and good value for money food. Definitely recommend.

Went for sunday lunch, beef was ok not pink like we were told it would be, veg lovely and huge Yorkshire pudding. Only a handful of people there but lady behind the bar was rushed of her feet, trying to do 3 jobs at once. Hubby disappointed as no hawkstone larger although it's advertised as having it. Service very slow but think this was down to lack of staff

My wife and I took our son and partner and our two grandchildren yesterday and were very disappointed. The food was terrible, I ordered the chicken and ham hock pie with mash and vegetables ; the vegetables were were cold and there were very few of them including a limp half carrot , a kale stalk with no leaf on it that was brown in places, a kale leaf about the size of half a credit card, and five or six limp green beans, the gravy was a poor effort too. The pie looked like a cheap frozen item that had been heated up in a microwave . Our daughter in law made no attempt at her chicken burger. My wife’s veg Thai red curry was awful, not even resembling anything Thai. The grandchildren had lukewarm macaroni cheese that stuck together in lumps. It was our son’s birthday so tried not to make a fuss that might have spoiled the occasion. To anybody considering a visit we would strongly recommend reconsidering, this place looks great from the outside but was not a good experience. The Camembert starter was the only redeeming thing about the meal , however , the mains were terrible and the food was overpriced also.

Bit pricey on beer. did not eat here but was busy very dog friendly in the bar area no dogs in the restaurant side

Staff with attitude & 90 minute wait & food didn’t appear, went to Burger King. This used to be good, but going down hill fast. Shame.

Came for the first time. My wife has been before, Absolutely disgusting place. Had my wife stood at the booking in desk for 20 minutes. No one came. She gave up and joined me at the bar. Where it took 25 minutes to get service. Gave up on food. And went to takeaway. All tables dirty. Short staffed. I’m not giving my hard earned money to be treated like cattle. Too many dogs in. The staff that were working didn’t seam to care especially the one and only person behind the bar full of tattoos. Never again. The point where I had enough was when I stood there for 25 minutes to get served and then he just said who’s next. If he’s so thick he couldn’t see the que that had built up he should ent being the job. And The manager needs sacking. The place is a joke

The food is lovely and of good quality, it's more the service that let's you down, we have been in a few times over the past few weeks as we like coming to the quiz. But everytime we have ordered food, the service is so slow and inattentive! When we came in on valentines night it wasn't even that busy and service was very slow to the point where the poor table behind us had there main meal plates on their table finished when we sat down at 8pm and then they still had them sat there the whole time through our starters and mains and when our desserts came and no member of staff even went to their table.

Joe was very friendly and had a nice smile. Makes great coffees! 😆

Visited the Brown Hare today, food was excellent and service was even better, especially from Sasha. Great ale, lager and ciders on draft also. Will definitely return. :)

What a lovely place to eat and have a drink in. The fire makes it so lively and warm. Can't wait to visit again soon and will be recommending to friends and family

The staff provided excellent service and the food was exceptional. While we encountered an issue with some unclean cutlery, the staff responded promptly, offering sincere apologies and immediate assistance. Their attentiveness extended to ensuring our satisfaction, proactively offering additional gravy and sauces.

Sunday lunch, the trio of roasts was a great choice. Turkey, Beef and Pork loin, with great crackling and a perfect Yorkshire pudding whilst in Lancashire! Lovely touch too that they had for the dogs a clean bowl and water bottle in baskets on the way in. Compliments to the kitchen staff Sean, Sammy and Dean. We will definitely be back.

Took the mother in law for lunch. Staff were brilliant offering smaller portion for her as she doesn’t eat a lot. We were greeted by the host who was really friendly and our server Joe was brilliant at his job. Very happy and helpful. Food was way above average for a pub I’d say. Really good Would go back for sure

Great Sunday Roast yesterday, the staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was lovely and big portions. I don't know if this place has been taken over or is under new management perhaps but this visit the vibe was much better than our recent visits

The lady with purple hair and piercings was absolutely incredible, we came for my daughters 9th birthday and she honestly made her birthday so special. Spending time with us to engage in propper conversations out of the basic 'how's your food/ anything else'. My daughter couldn't wait to tell her friends this morning about her new friend at The Brown Hare. Very sociable and very friendly. She went above and beyond for us and made my 3 kids feel very safe and happy! Thankyou so much to her shes amazing- I'm so sorry i forgot your name but we will be back 7th Feb. Only thing I can say I was gutted about was the chicken and chorizo kebab but that's because I was expecting 2 kebabs not one, however food tasted incredible I just expected there to be 2 kebabs now 1 x

I visited this Sunday, with my partner and his parents and the food was good, we were greeted by a very friendly waiter, with purple hair who gave us excellent service and great conversation. It made the experience really lovely and we look forward to coming back

I ordered a turkey Sunday Roast. The vegetables were lovely but the 'turkey' was absolutely disgusting. It was like eating cardboard. I broke my front tooth biting through it. I didn't complain as i was embarrassed at the tooth gap. We just finished and left. We won't be going back there in a hurry

We have been many times and will continue to do so. Always friendly welcome by the manager and staff polite and friendly when taking our order and serving. Food always great quality and decent sized portions and usually quick. Prices very reasonable always.

The food was really good and came quickly. What let it down massively was the dirty table. It was sticky and obviously hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. Great service though.

Went fir Christmas day. 1 of our party has coeliac and was catered for throughout. Tables wiped, cutlery changed, reassurance about the preparation of food. Fantastic service, staff were wonderful, especialy Abbie and Hannah and the bar staff. Christmas dinner was absolutely stunning, couldn't fault it. Will definitely be returning.

Went out on christmas eve for our family meal to here. Table was booked for 18:45, this was a pre-booked meal that was paid for in advance. The drinks got served fairly quickly but we had to wait until gone 20:00 for our main course to arrive. The server had great energy and was lovely, but will not be coming back here again after this experience

My family had been visiting me for a few days so we decided we’d go out for a drink together to catch up and we really made the right choice in coming here! The staff were so friendly, talkative and generally helpful. Lovely selection of drinks and the chefs do a top job with their food! Would 100% recommend and will be coming back!

Breakfast with Santa with my 2 grandchildren. They loved the party games and dancing. The Elf was really good with the kids. Definitely worth the money

Terrible service we were there almost 2 hours and didn't have starters or desert. Waited 20 mins for drinks after chasing it up. They eventually took our order and waited 15 mins to be told they don't have any of our order in stock. Then had to wait 20 mins to order another meal after asking at the bar for service in the end which took another 30 mins to arrive. After we had eaten we sat with dirty plates for 20 mins and chased up desert menus. After waiting an age for our order to be taken we again went to the bar. After 20 mins of waiting for deserts we left without having them. We were bored and frustrated and wished we hadn't bothered. Was a waste of our time and money. Won't be going back there again.

Initial welcome was good. After all our group had arrived it took a long time for waitress to arrive to take our order. Only half our drinks order arrived promptly. We had to go and enquire about the rest of it and it arrived eventually. Similarly with the main courses... 3 out of 5 arrived but the other 2 didn't arrive until the three had almost finished eating. There were apologies for the lateness. The quality of the food was variable. Two of the group had starters which were good. The three meals which arrived in the first delivery were also good but the last two, which were both sea bass, were not as described. They were supposed to be pan fried but were tasteless and bland as if they had been boiled. Also, the vegetables were billed as peas, beans and mangetout but only the peas were present. When I drew the management's attention to this, one of the sea bass was removed from the bill. No one ended up hungry but the ambience of our pre-Christmas reunion was spoiled.

Fabbie and Sammy were both lovely and super friendly. Thank you for making the night special. Food was absolutely delicious. Completely worth the money. Lovely ambience as well. Will come back for sure.

Fabi is a fantastic waitress and has made our meal special, we love her energy and friendliness and attention to detail. We love her vibe. The Chef Dean has cooked our meal perfectly, it was delicious and we ate it all. You have brilliant staff that deserve time off.

A lovely welcome on arrival, and attended to well whilst we were there. 3 of us ordered. Sunday roasts were delicious and also cheese and potato pie. Served in good time, nice and hot and good sized portions. Approx. £14 Ish per meal. Good value. Also apple and cherry pie with custard was best I've ever tasted. Nice clean and spacious pub, with free parking. Will definitely return

Went to the quiz tonight and was served by Fabi, great service and the food made by Hannah and Sammie was the cherry on top of the cake 10/10 will be coming back! Especially if the 30% off mains offer is on in the future!

Fantastic for the family and for birthday fun

Reserved a table but when shown to our table noticed it had not been cleared properly. Our 4 drinks were brought to the table and then food orders taken, after a while it was reported back to us that one of the three of us that ordered steak would have to choose something else. My kofta starter was hard like rock and the tomato sauce was cold, only one out of three starters was enjoyable and they had the tomato soup. I asked for my steak to be medium, it was undercooked. They had brought our food without giving us anything to eat it with, they forgot to bring me the peppercorn sauce that I had ordered. All in all, was the worst dining experience I have ever had!

Having been stuck in traffic that was even worse than usual, we took a spur of the moment decision to stop at the Hare and eat instead of enduring rising blood pressure. I'm so glad we did. Dinner was just what the doctor ordered and the fun banter with our waitress, Fabbey ensured we really enjoyed our visit and our frustration was replaced with smiles. Excellene service.

Bought my first alcoholic drink, and the staff was lovely and put me at ease with some jokes all together. I loved having my birthday there

We attended the kids Halloween party and was waiting on food. Could see that our table was going to be one of the last to be served, so I asked if there was any chance my little boy could have his tea due to him being diabetic, they brought it out near enough straight away. When I also asked if they can bring his dessert out soon as he finished they did, as he has to consume both with half an hour or he will need more insulin. They were happy to do it with no problems

The staff who welcomed us were friendly. My mum enjoyed her food. However, mine, for £15.79 I expected to have more than two small cubes of halloumi on the kebab.
