Lisa gave us fantastic service and was very attentive. Serif, the head chef, served us fantastic food. I would also highly recommend the duck and hoisin pizza and the crispy buttermilk chicken burger. We will definitely returning.

Natalie was fabulous, she gave a very precise description of the puddings to help my wonderful partner decide in what he was going have. My lad really enjoyed his signature burger and my girl really enjoyed her fish. Another pleasant experience at the Walton Fox, now a confirmed favourite with excellent service from Lisa, Terri and Serif. This time it was soup and a salad, just right for a light lunch. Add in the warm and comfortable atmosphere and I will definitely be returning soon. Trevor D.

Stopped for food with some colleagues when travelling for work. The pub has a traditional feel, a good selection of beers and the food was very nice. The staff were all fantastic and I would recommend this place

Over the years we've held family events, celebrations, and special days here; I held my 50th birthday meal here last September, a month after breast cancer surgery. My best friend treated me to a meal with you on the 16th September for my 51st this year. We love the food, and the staff are friendly and professional. However, despite being long time patrons, and app users for quite a while (especially to book tables), despite generating plenty of in app rewards, I've only ever been able to use a reward ONCE. Whilst I appreciate that you need T&C's in place, why is our spend and loyalty enough to generate awards, but not good enough to use them? This was particularly upsetting on my birthday when I had 3 rewards on my apl, but your system didn't accept any one of them, despite us both ordering 3 courses. The damage done by not even honouring the large soft drink replacement for the birthday Prosecco (I can't drink alcohol due to my cancer drugs), was upsetting for us, and staff. I raised this on one of the Vintage Inn posts on Facebook posts recently, and was firmly put in my place by your marketing team.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. Chicken, bacon and avo salad was delicious and the portion size was very generous. Crumble dessert was delicious and fruit was fresh and sweet. The service was always very prompt and attentive, thanks Louise! Love the coziness of the place especially in winter, it’s always warm and low lit.

Fabulous Sunday lunch at the Fox, nice pint of Timothy Taylor, great Roast Beef dinner, extremely tender beef, gorgeous carrots and served by a lovely young lady called Louise who looked after us both, very polite and knowledgeable.

Great place to stop just of the M6 for a Sunday Roast. Friendly staff and food served quickly.

my dad had gammon n fruit crumble he said the gammon was perf and i had mac n cheese i liked the breadcrumbs but they were maybe slightly stingey w the pork. Hannah was lovely! took all my dads rubbish jokes and smiled and shyla cooked fab

Lovely meal, took my father out for pizza tonight, it was lovely! Served by Louise who was very tentative and very polite, I'm told our dinner was cooked by Shyla the pizzas were "lush" and very filling may have to make this a regular thing as the atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely. 10/10

Terri and Lisa are so friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. We absolutely loved our meals and deserts. Lovely afternoon spent in a cosy pub. We will definitely be back.

Beware the Ts&Cs Myself and my wife decided to go for our joint anniversary and birthday meal. My wife had a voucher for a bottle of Prosecco, which we did ask the server about before ordering, at this point the only stipulation was two main meals. Duly ordered and consumed three courses, of which the gammon was a little gristly, went to pay, only to be told that the wine offer was not valid as one of the meals was from the offer menu. Such a shame as this was our final talking point of the evening. Leaves a bad taste, not good for a restaurant, to be honest I would have rather had beer than wine.

It may have been a one off but overcooked steak cannot be left, staff quickly saw and resolved this, and fair play to them as there not the one in the kitchen with a timer that doesn't work or just can't cook a steak !

We both got Food Poisoning frommthe same Dish. Food also not as described on the Menu. Both myself and partner had a terrible tummy for days on end afterward consuming the same Fish & Veg meal. It came out of the Kitchen before we were finished with the starter and saw them go back in the Kitchen. We did raise the issue of the cold veg we were served, Waitress was very polite. We were offered replacement Vegetables (we declined) and Waitress apologised about it. A Manager came out, apologised and offered a complimentary desert each, which was nice, presented well and a nice gesture. I'm not sure if Walton Fox is under new management or have a new Chef in Kitchen. The Bill still came to £50+ for 2 starters & 2 dishes of two single fish cakes with cold veg, a Mocha and Coke. Not a nice experience for our Anniversary meal. The Waitress (Hannah) was very polite so we gave her a Tip, it wasn't her fault and I'm sorry that she personally had to deal with the highly embarrassing issue on behalf on the Chef.

We were served by Tiele, lovely meal as usual. Service was excellent.

I had the ribeye. I asked for and got medium rare. I have found that an issue recently. A good sear on it with very good flavour. Good pub food !!! The staff are friendly and genuine. I will be back when I travel this way again.

We use this place for meetings and it's not a bad place. We book a large table so we are able to sit together.

Gave me wet bread not garlic bread also gave me one burt chip and gave me lines in my pasta and also had odd chairs Ruining the picture I was trying to take they also gave me barley any Mac and cheese was very disappointed won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend for anyone to go there!!!!!! I was staying at the Premier Inn next door and walked across. Hannah, the waitress was very efficient as was the service from the kitchen and bar. I enjoyed 3 courses which were all delicious. The menu is truly full of 'pub grub', but my choices were all spot on.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Great menu choices and we had 1 coeliac and they had a good choice of options.

Steak was poor medium rare takes like it had been frozen microwaved then heated off won't eat there again

Ate here after travelling up from the south (yes I know) but would highly recommend enjoying a meal here as the food was fantastic, the staff were lovely, attentive and VERY helpful with explaining and showing me about the dietary requirements as I have coeliac, here's a hint there's tonnes. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

We had lunch here today. Food, service & pub are fantastic well worth a visit, they even have a doggy menu. Will definitely return again. Highly recommended.

Our first time there, it was welcoming and has a lovely feel. The food was great and the service good.

We visited for our first time today (table for 2). Staff were extremely welcoming, with smiles, which was really appreciated and made us feel immediately at ease. The timing of visits to our table and the arrival of food was spot on. The food itself was very good we had lamb, burger, Eton mess and brownie. And all were above what we would expect for a pub. We will definitely be returning and from today's visit we are seriously considering Christmas day here as well. Very Good all round, well done.

After a long tiring journey, we arrived at the Walton Fox in need of an evening meal. Even though they were very busy, a table was found for us and we were made to feel welcome. The service showed by Lisa and Terri was much appreciated, and the fresh, tasty food prepared by Shyla helped us to forget the horrors of the M6. Although my. Wife and I only travel past Preston infrequently, a stop over at the Walton Fox will be an essential part of our planning. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Walton Fox in the motorhome. Absolutely fantastic service. Terri and Lisa were amazing nothing was too much trouble. Lots of local advice even helped me put Uber taxi on my phone 😁. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here with the motorhome. We will be back! Almost forgot thank you Shyla for my perfectly cooked steak 😋

Paul the chef cooked my steak to perfection chips fluffy inside delicious. Lucy was excellent and catered for my allergies nothing was too much trouble would definitely eat here again

Excellent meal here tonight I have allergies but my husband doesn't, I always feel safe eating here Terri and Lisa go above and beyond to make sure my meal is safe, my husband had the curry and I had the chicken bacon avocado salade would recommend eating here.

Probably not the best night to be here as there was a major tech issue. But the staff were lovely, it was just a shame the food didn't match. Chicken, bacon and avocado salad ordered. Chicken could be used to sole shoes 😥 Malbec was great and the place was packed, so maybe just me

Called in here for lunch, ordered off the bar snacks menu and there was loads!! Any 3 for £10, I ordered hullumi fries, crispy chicken and the hog roast sausage roll. All tasted amazing but the sausage roll was awesome, would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back. Gorgeous place and the staff where very friendly and helpful.

Great place nice and busy ,good menu and plenty choice of drinks.

At first I just thought I'd ordered poorly but when I left and re looked at the menu I realised I did not get as promised. The starter was not king prawns. The fishcakes did not come with hollandaise sauce, it was a pot of mayonnaise. And my veg was dry and limp. The whole meal was just very dry. The starter had no sauce or butter with the toast. And as mentioned no sauce with my main and the potatoes were actually just boiled potatoes. No seasoning. I used a voucher which I had received as a gift and was highly disappointed. The staff were lovely and the place was cute and I love how dog friendly it is. I am just really upset with the food.

Nice food. Had lamb and the seabass. Good portions. Potatoes could have been cooked a bit more but lovely as a whole. Apple and blackberry crumble was lovely. Will come again.

Upon arrival last night, I was told from the woman behind the bar they was no longer serving food so imagine my surprise once id sat down and was able to order food from the app. Wasnt sure if it was going to come but low and behold they was indeed still serving food as my plate arrived along with an added side of attitude. Food was more or less slammed on the table and then given an empty bottle of ketchup. Certainly wont be going again, staff are liars, unprofessional and need to learn some manners.

We were staying at the hotel next door so we thought The Walton Fox looked inviting so we gave it a try. We were shown to our table and our drinks order taken. The staff Thea was very attentive and it was lovely to receive good service. Our food when it came was delicious, the lamb rump was the best I’ve had anywhere. Loved the crispy Yorkshire pudding and the veg were cooked perfectly. Thanks to Paul for the wonderful meal. We really didn’t have room for dessert but the eton mess and the chocolate dome sounded too good to miss. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Staying in Premier Inn and decided to have an evening meal at the Walton Fox. Looked after by Thea and Natalie, warm welcome and well looked after. Food very good, particularly my pie, thanks to chef Serif. Would recommend this restaurant

Been a while since coming as Shauna has been working (as we thought she had left!) but phew she hasn’t! Ordered two Pornstar Martinis and she offered courtesy by bringing them over to us which was a nice touch! Amazing cocktails, Shauna is the queen of cocktails if you ever come to Walton Fox!

Our family came here a few years ago and chose to eat here as we knew it would be a good meal. The food portions are generous and tasty. The speed of service was excellent. They catered well for dietary needs. The location is fab too, we like being able to jump on the motorway and head back to our respective homes after a good meal. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Wonderful place stayed next door for 2 weeks ate my way through the menu and every meal was lovely and the team looked after me wonderfully as I was alone thanks guys!

So I broke 2 personal rules, never eat Sunday dinner in a chain pub, number 2, if you break number 1, never after 3pm. I ordered beef, got pork, some grey veg on my plate, taste couldn't work it out. It was v poor on every level. Ordered creme brulee for desert, cold runny custard, left it. In fairness they did ask me if everything was okay but tbh I am weary of this mediocrity. Just got back from some time in Majorca, this place would not survive there. Depressing

Ordered beef, got pork, veg were awful, tasteless. Potatoes weren't roast? The whole plate of food was awful. Desert was a creme brulee which was runny, left it, no challenge from waitress. Actually she was okay, leave quickly, go and work somewhere good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Lovely atmosphere.

Food was excellent and o was the service. My husband had the fish and chips and asked for the fish lightly battered. It was beautiful. I had the lasagne and that was also lovely. We was served by Lucy who was very friendly. I would definitely recommend and would definitely return. Complements tother chef.

This pub is 2 minutes walk from the Premier Inn and there is more than adequate free car parking. We were very surprised and pleased by our visit to this lovely pub restaurant . The food and service were excellent and we really enjoyed our time. This has a lovely menu with a wide choice to meet all tastes.

We arrived quite late at this already busy restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome by our super efficient, friendly waitress , Thea, who looked after us and served us like we were in a 5 Star hotel. After a long day of travelling this was just what we needed. Hospitality at its best. Food first class too.

Didn't have high expectations with this being next to a Premier Inn (was expecting average pub grub) but it was exceptional. The first table we sat at turned out to be next to quite a noisy group but a member of staff showed us to a quieter area. She quickly realised that my partner had a hearing problem and moved to his side so that he could hear her better, she took our order noting a couple of changes we requested (no BBQ sauce, no chilli jam). When the food came it was exactly as we had requested and was delicious. The service throughout was pleasant, I honestly couldn't fault it. Thank you Shona, Terri and Caitlin.

A lovely pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We didn't eat there but from what i could see the restaraunt section looked homely and comfy. A special mention to Lisa who was so friendly.
