Great meal , had slight hiccup with one meal, but sorted so so quickly and efficiently, really tasty, just love this place.

Visited midweek and was impressed with the atmosphere, a lot of people in also with a nice setting. The food was ok, had fishcakes and katsu curry, we also had the belgium fries which were excellent. We used a voucher which meant the food was very reasonably priced, however without this probably quite expensive. Would visit again if there was an offer on.

The food is honestly really nice however the prices are of mild extortion, 18.75 for a katsu chicken curry in which the portion size was half more than I would give to a child is unbelievable. Without the discount voucher we had the price would have been close to £100 and it really just doesn’t feel like that kind of place, I could go to Flamin grill and get the same quality meal for half that price. Don’t get me wrong there was nothing physically wrong with the food other than my pizza had cheddar cheese on rather than Mozzerella which I found a bit odd, didn’t bother me but would likely bother anyone who is even 5% Italian. Our server, Terri was brilliant hilarious and lovely I can’t fault the staff for any reason, I just cannot fathom some of the prices. £8.75 for tiramisu that I could get at half the price at an authentic Italian restaurant. Either way I would probably return for a special occasion just not very regularly at all.

Typical English country pub on the outskirts of Preston close the the M65 Motorway. Was packed out when we called on a Wednesday around 6pm, thank goodness we booked. Food nice but several items not available on the menu, well it was busy. Lovely large battered fish and crispy chips. Very disappointed with the dessert of passion fruit & mango Eaton Mess as it was really just a plate of whipped cream with a couple of white chocolate buttons a couple of pieces of meringue and a drizzle of mango & passion fruit coulis. I would have preferred it in a glass dish, more meringue & white chocolate, with some fresh mango pieces with the passion fruit coulis. Very poor vegetarian options; chickpea burger, tomato pizza, lentil cottage pie or salad.

Ellie was lovely gave us recommendations for food, the pie was amazing. She served us with a smile and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend and will be coming back for the fish and chips (her other recommendation) soon!

Very attentive staff, food was good and service excellent. The place was very quiet but that was due to an accident on the M6 area .

Called yesterday without booking but the Manager was able to accommodate a table for six of us without any fuss. The food was lovely and service was first class. It was our first visit but we'll definitely be back.

Very disappointed with the quality of my order and the lack of it. What's happened? Its not the cheapest of meals which is why I have it on Sundays. Last week's serving was minimal but this week really was sad looking . I'm a good, loyal customer but feel like I've been treated very poorly. What a huge shame.

A very enjoyable evening at The Walton Fox celebrating a friends 50th Birthday. Our waitress Terri was very helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and although it was busy the service was spot on.

Wonderful meal out with the family. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas, the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection also the chips were crispy, just how I like them. Followed by a banoffee desert. Everyone else enjoyed their chosen meals, even the children and one of those is very picky with what she has. The staff were warm and welcoming, a lovely atmosphere all round.

The food is excellent with very nice friendly staff, good selection of food and drink with table service in the restaurant side. Easy access to motorway. Only draw back is slightly small car park but there is more room close by. Not sure if dogs are allowed but they have a bowl outside which they'll fill, outdoor seating pond view. 10mth since last visit. Refurbishment finished. Glad it's kept the rustic charm for a big place it's surprising intimate. Food was excellent and I got a heart shaped steak! Pure fluke I believe. Thanks for a nice peaceful and unrushed meal. The Walton Fox has become our go-to restaurant for the last 6yrs including having my wedding meal. We have several family members get-together here each year plus 2 anniversaries, and occasionally pop in with the dog. The food is A* along with the service. Today LISA was her wonderful self (true customer service), and I want to thank TERRI for some of the best sea bass I've ever had. Thank you all again, and see you at Easter 🐣

Arrived as a walk-in & was seated. After 40 mins the food arrived, but 1 meal was almost cold, so was sent back. Once heated, both meals were quite palatable. However, from that point attention was zero. We were never asked if everything was fine, and once finished the empty plates were left on the table. We had to stop a waitress to ask for another drink. When that was not forthcoming another waitress was stopped, and I pointed out our drink which we saw sat on the bar. At no time were we asked if we'd like anything further. It was only when I requested the bill did they remove the empty plates! Food reasonable, service poor!

We had a very pleasant midweek lunch here. The atmosphere was relaxed while the service from Terri and Natalie was efficient and friendly. Delicious food cooked by Serif. An all round a lovely experience,

Came here for a Sunday Roast. Absolutely tip notch, the food was delicious. The service was great, staff friendly. Trying to find an excuse to return

Excellent experience today, service was perfect, just the right amount of attention without being intrusive. My only comment is regarding food portions, as I don’t eat huge amount, I’d very much appreciate an option of a smaller portion size. The staff were fantastic regarding food allergies and reassuring of their processes. Will be returning soon.

absolutely beautiful and delicious

It's a lovely looking pub but it's more of a restaurant with a pub attached. The beer is expensive so are the soft drinks but the decor and seating are comfortable. I find the staff efficient but a little gloomy like they work for a soul sucking corporation rather than a friendly local pub. The food is fine but also expensive. Great for a meet up but last couple of times Timothy Taylor and a couple of other draft beers not available due to beer cleaning it's a pub you should have more than one beer on.

My first visit but not my last. I was greeted with a smile and shown to my table without having a reservation. The food was delicious and presented perfectly. The service was friendly and Hannah was very helpful taking the time to consider my hearing loss and explained everything clearly. The slow cooked belly pork was "Special" indeed.

Needed to stay in the area as I couldn’t get home with the storms in Scotland. I was warmly welcomed to the Walton Fox by Lisa, who was a fantastic host, really friendly. The delicious Aubergine Gratin cooked by the chef Shyla went down a treat with a great Malbec. A really lovely meal, in a great atmosphere. A great find!

Wish this was my local pub/restaurant! Always a pleasure to come here. Staff all lovely and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Food is lobely especially when Sherif is cooking! My favourite place Keep up the amazing work Team and Happy New Year!

Lovely meal here last Thursday, served by Thea. Delicious hot meal by Serif, we really enjoyed the Seabass, delicious sauce, prawns and well cooked and the Gammon was also enjoyed. Lovely drinks with flapjacks too, all served quickly with a smile from the lovely Thea. Great service, we reserved a table with a highchair, nothing was too much trouble and I asked for particular veggie items for my 18 month old daughter to nibble and all was accommodated, much appreciated, really enjoyed ourselves in a warm and cozy setting, also dog friendly... I'd left the dogs at home on this occasion, but took them two treats from the handily provided jar at the entrance, which they loved!!

Nice staff and inside is lovely and welcoming. Food is ok but average, had alot worse but also had plenty better.

Visited for an evening meal with two friends in December. Very pleasant would definitely go back. Good was pretty good for the price, we each had starters mains and desert followed by coffees. The place was quiet when we arrived at half 5 but was ram packed by the time we left around 9. Good value would visit again 😄

We went for our anniversary as we had our first date there a year ago. We had a beautiful meal and they even brought us a dessert with ‘happy anniversary’ written in chocolate. So thoughtful. Great service from Thea too.

My last visit here was 10 months ago, which sadly led to a 2* rating due to food and service quality. Not today!...Such a difference. I was very pleasantly surprised with everything. The pub had a good relaxed atmosphere. A live singer was playing (didn't get the details), he was very good! Food was excellent (chef today was Serif)...as was our table service/waitress Thea. A very different experience from my last one and as this was a family meal, I did decide to give this traditional pub another chance. I am pleased that I did! There are so many food choices, alcohol choices and even dogs are welcome in the bar area and have their own menu (see photos). I can recommend the Calamari starters, Vegetable Wellington and Mini Chocolate Brownie - as all we faultless. The pub also offers a takeaway service as well as home delivery. Following today's experience, I would highly recommend Walton Fox and will definitely return again in the near future, whether that be for a meal or a coffee with my dogs, after a nearby walk either in the grounds of St Catherine's hospice or Cuerden Park valley. Thank you Thea for your professional and friendly service. Also compliments to Serif the chef !

I took my grandad here for the Boxing Day menu, nothing was too much to ask, Hannah our server was super friendly and smiley especially considering she was working on Boxing Day!! I came to the Resteraunt last night 24 th December after travelling from Majorca tired and hungry I was staying at the premier inn next door to the Walton fox Bamber bridge it was 8.30 pm I was informed by a staff member they had stopped serving food although they advertise food is served until 9.00 there were plenty of people still eating in the restaurant I had to leave and go without food big disappointment I would not go back after such a bad experience

Excellent burger, friendly but not intrusive service.

Just had a lovely meal out with my wife. Been coming here years . Never had a bad meal. Except for today definitely not the chefs fault. Had the camembert every visit. But tonight just didn't taste like it used to. Didn't eat it all. Tho this didn't ruin our night as the rest of the food was very tasty as usual. And the staff so friendly. Much thank you to Megan for your service tonight. Could not fault.

We both had the Sunday Lunch Turkey which was excellent. Our waitress Lucy was very helpful and charming... Great service as always in the Walton Fox....
