Perfect tearooms and B&B! Stayed with my mum after doing a few days walking in the Dales. Lovely family run atmosphere with friendly hosts. Had a very tasty scone in the tearooms when I arrived and a fantastic breakfast the next morning. There was an option for freshly made pizza in the evening (I think only available on Wednesday nights) which we didn’t go for as we wanted to explore Dent a bit more but would definitely recommend it given quality of everything else we ate - they smelled delicious!

An impromptu choice to visit Plato's today and what a brilliant decision and choice. We had a really superb meal and were made to feel very welcome by Ronnie, who looked after us! We had the fish finger sourdough sandwich and the chicken and paprika mayo sandwich...accompanied by parmesan and truffle chips 🍟 😋 absolutely delicious. All washed down with a delightful glass of rose wine. We will definitely be returning. It was such a great culinary treat.

We had a lovely short break here, Heather the manager was very welcoming, very pleasant atmosphere, rooms are quite large and clean, The meals from Guy the chef (Heathers partner) are very very scrumptious, everything fresh and cooked beautifully, All the staff very helpful and attentive, including Micheal and Arafat at the bar, A peaceful quiet retreat, I would recommend trying, and we will visit again. A lovely cafe serving delicious freshly prepared food. The vegetarian breakfast ciabatta was gorgeous and very filling. What a lovely combination with avocado, chickpeas and vegetarian sausage etc. The breakfast ciabatta (with meat) was also nicely presented and enjoyable. We are so glad we paid a visit - easy to park outside in the pay and display carpark too. Will definitely return!

Absolutely great food, beautifully presented, the child meals are great all good proper food rather than the usual cheap rubbish served on children's menus. The staff were great and made some excellent recommendations for us. We will be back.

After a long walk, (you know when your legs are like jelly and you're a bit delirious), the Three Hares Cafe was a caramel-packed safehaven. I've visited hundreds of cafes (and reviewed a fair few on here) and the negative reviews are a little baffling. Yes, the scones look burnt but they are airy light and a welcome companion to a brew. Funnily enough, they probably know how to make a decent scone given the expertise across the road at the Black Bull Inn. It is a small cafe, only a few tables, that doubtless gets filled quickly but Sedbergh has alternatives nearby if you're stuck. They nailed my preference for a caramel slice (90% oozing caramel) and the pies and other bits we took home all hit the spot. Special mention for their donuts. They look like giant charred cannon balls that ooze jam. Glorious when warmed up.

Great coffee and generous portions. Very good value. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. They probably don’t often get asked for a cortado but after I described what it was it arrived better than many a fancy coffee chain provides. The warm hummus wrap was done to a T, large salad and a good quantity of hot, chunky chips fried to perfection. Friendly and informative staff. I wish I lived nearer. Oh, and I can recommend their homemade fruit scones.

We stayed at the Old Sunday school next to the cafe. We went for a coffee one morning and breakfast on our last morning. The breakfast was sensational and fairly priced. We would definitely recommend visiting this Cafe if you are passing through or staying in Dent.
