Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked, great cakes and pastries, they make their own pasties and sausage rolls. Warm and friendly service

Had a 4-mile walk in the coldest weather and were so pleased to find this open. Great coffee and snacks. It certainly warmed us up for our walk back down.

After a lovely walk from Kirkby Lonsdale we stopped here for an outside tea/coffee toasted tea cakes /sausage sandwich and ice creams sat out overlooking the golf course. Beautiful sun trap and a good stop off point. Reasonable priced cafe.

After a disappointing breakfast at nearby Barbon Inn decided to have breakfast here as we were passing by on the way to Kirkby Lonsdale and beyond. Very quiet on arrival and order taken quickly at the counter. Drinks and food then delivered to our table. Bacon and sausage baps were delicious, not cheap but contained plenty meat. Café mainly used by golfers but also open to the general public

Incredible taster menu. We were lucky enough to be the only diners so had the chef and sommelier to ourselves for 3 and a half hours! Also did the wine pairing which was fantastic.

A group of us went from work, for a quick lunchtime catch-up. Someone had recommended this restaurant to us, and we only work around the corner (but there is ample parking in Ford Park, if you needed to drive). I wasn't sure what it would be like for a working lunch, because it has a reputation of being a fancy place for evening meals and set menus; I still think it is the latter (and will be going back one evening to check!), but thankfully my fears for lunchtime were unfounded because the food was banging, the service was quick and the cost was more than reasonable. Four of us ate from the lunchtime menu; two had flatbreads which were huge and tasted great, and the other two of us had bagels. Mine was packed with steak and caramelised onions, and tasted fantastic. Three soft drinks and a non-alcoholic beer and the total cost was £60. To be honest everything others were having at our table and at our neighbours looked fantastic. I'll have to go back again and try something different.

Pies looked delicious, never got to try them as they didn’t take cash .
