Sampled a sausage/egg bap/batch ... AGHHHH !... the supposed sausage was disgusting, tasteless and like cardboard. The guy serving looked like he'd lost a tenner and found 10p, miserable, smileless that made us feel unwelcome. We only went because I had read the reviews of lt online. Would not go back there if it was free.

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve visited this place on my bike. Every time I visit for a brew, the guy serving always seems a little abrupt. After today’s visit, having experienced zero manners at all, I’ve decided I won’t be parting with my cash anymore. It’s a real shame, because the food is OK and they make a nice brew. Perhaps they’ve just got complacent over the years? Who knows?

After 3 days in a award winning Cornish Hotel, gourmet dining every night on a £75 per person menu plus drinks at £8 a shot, it was good to get back to Devils Bridge Snacks after a two year absence due to Covid. Double Burger, cheese, onion, potato cake brown sauce, a mug of mashed tea and a slice of fruit cake for £9. Every bit as good as the pretentious 8 course meals I was eating in Cornwall, at a tenth of the cost! All top quality products as well! My only criticism is that no one was there to push my chair in and unfold a napkin on my lap!

Ive been coming to this snack van for a great breakfast for over 15 years. Its my favourite stop on my way to the lakes for a climb on a sunday and i'd consider myself a semi regular. However, for some unknown reason, the menu has now been halved until after 11, meaning I can no longer order my usual double cheeseburger with onions on my way up to the lakes as it would be too late. I thought this was just a change for lockdown but it looks like its permanent. Im heartbroken at this change and unfortunately i've had to change which van i now visit which is a huge disappointment. Please revert these changes!!!!!

My order is always the same: Bacon, egg, sausage, cheese and mayo - I know not exactly everyone's taste, but they make it for me without batting an eye. Absolute perfection, friendly family run, delicious, fast, and all with an incredible view of the river Lune. They are bringing back the Christmas Butty too, not to be missed while it is on. This snack bar is in a beautiful location on Devils Bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale. For years, bikers have used this as a meeting place for a chat and bite to eat. We passed it on Sunday and it was packed out to the rafters. The next day we easily got a parking place and sampled a bacon and a sausage buttie - very nice too. A tad expensive but we didn’t mind just for the experience of eating from the famous shack.

Love here and made a special effort to come off the motorway for a brew on the way back from North Lakes. Not quite the same out of a paper cup, but I'm assuming that's due to the situation. Hope the mugs will be back! Worth a stop to check out the River Lune and the bridges, lovely walk along the river too if you have time and picnic tables out in the field.

Devil's Bridge Snacks is a must for anyone loving their bacon butties. This is a fabulous location where bacon butties have been serving for years. A favourite stop for bikers, families, couples and anyone who wishes to break up their journey for a bite to eat. The snack bar serves locally produced sausages, beef, eggs, cheese and onion potato cakes, beefburgers and vegetable burgers. A good variety of drinks - Tea, coffee, bovril and hot chocolate. There are toilets at the other end of the bridge. Car parking not too bad although weekends and summer holidays may find you struggling for a place. Well worth the wait though....

The caravan serving bacon butties at Devils Bridge has been there since the 1950s (is it still the original one? I'm not sure).Visited again on a trip to the UK and its at least 30 years, possibly almost 40 since I was last here. It remains the quintessential roadside snack place. Mugs of cheap hot tea and great sandwiches. They even offer a veggie burger now (although I didn't try it). Very popular with motorcyclists.I'm sure there are now other options between Pendle and the Lakes that didn't exist when I was a teenager heading up early on a weekend morning to go walking or climbing, but this is an original that has stayed the same. Take a break, grab a mug of tea and a butty and enjoy a slice of history

We visited on a sunny Sunday and it was very busy. We were told there was a 15 minute waiting time for hot food, but we were happy with this as we thought it would mean it would be freshly-cooked. It arrived within the time and the staff were pleasant. I had a bacon roll which was OK, although rather a lot of roll for the amount of bacon. My partner had a double burger with bacon and cheese. He said the burgers were so well done you could use them to slate your roof and the bacon to tile your bathroom. Why the wait? The ingredients would have been over-cooked when we ordered, let alone waiting another 15 minutes. I think we'll bring sandwiches if we visit again.

Cold and smelled of dogs on arrival. Waited ages to be served and the waitress was more interested on who was at the bar rather than taking our table order for 10 people. Food was very salty and the steak pie in particular was terrible. Every meal as standard/basic or frozen style food. The whole place is run down and miserable. We went off trip advisor reviews as well on a visit to the area and wished we hadn’t. Go to The Pheasant Inn down the road at Allithwaite instead that was lovely food and fab service.

Well I won't be going back ,the food was awful ...the tomato ,basil and pesto soup had a horrible sharp but sugary sweet taste...the sandwich that came with it had the cheapest bright yellow " butter "on. ,a maximum of one slice of ham and the cheapest mustard . My 4 year old grandson could have made a better sandwich ! My husband had pie which had hardly any meat in it and the gravy was unusual tasting ( to say the least ) and sweet . I've had far superior microwave meals ! The toilets which were always an asset to the pub had gone downhill too.
