The best restaurants serving British food in Pendle North West

I had a fantastic meal at my local fish and chip shop today! The fish was perfectly battered and the chips were delicious. The friendly staff and generous portions made the experience even better. A true gem for anyone craving classic British meal—highly recommended!

Very filling take out breakfasts on a busy moving day, delicious sandwiches and hot drinks for four people all for £20 bargain.

Great real ale pub full of character, nice staff and good value. Do pizza and burgers during the weekend.' Also live bands during the summer months.

Sadly this chippy has changed hands and isn’t anywhere near as good as it was. It’s a shame as the guy there seems really keen and very welcoming No longer offering haddock having swapped to cod and using different fat, the fish batter and chips have left a very soapy taste in my mouth. Chips undercooked too so they needed extra cooking to crisp up. Fish itself was okay inside the batter. I won’t be going back in a hurry.

Good food, friendly service. I recommend the homemade pie... my daughter reccomends the quich... food for all tastes. Ty

Limited menu (Not a criticism) We had chicken shawarma, chips, dip, large mugs of coffee. Very tasty, great value. Decent service. Great place to stop after or before a walk around the park. GIVE IT A TRY. Very good value.

Staff are very polite and helpful. Make us feel very welcome and always a friendly atmosphere. Will be returning. Thanks guys

Four our us, that’s two couples, visited today 26/2/25 for lunch, main menu plus £13 Monday to Friday lunch menu, Sausage,mash/all day breakfast/cottage pie and salmon were all enjoyed. Good range of ales although I didn’t look beyond Taylor’s Boltmaker, there’s no need to. Decor was good, as was the service, would recommend and we’ll be back.

Decided to go to Bannys because the times we've been to the Outlet never even thought about going to Bannys, so glad we did , we had the Indian fish and chips recommended by someone I know WELL, it was absolutely gorgeous, we didn't want it to end, three big pieces of fish (although would have liked them to be even bigger) batter was lovely and crispy and the chips and sauce perfect, can't wait to go again.

We were looking for something different to where we normally go, my Wife's friend had been here and recommended it. They got it right for us today, my Wife is coeliac and they said it wouldn't be an issue at all; it wasn't. We both had the set lunchtime menu which offered plenty of choice and was good value. The staff were attentive to my Wife's needs and discussed how they could adapt to these. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and piping hot and they weren't rushing to get you out, allowing time to chat etc. Yes we will be going back and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and surroundings.

We made a relatively last minute decision to have dinner on Christmas Day at The Spinning Mill, on arrival, we were greeted by the very friendly staff, and shown to our table, we had pre booked our meals a couple of weeks beforehand, my wife had the prawn cocktail for a starter & I had opted for the soup, unfortunately I didn’t get a roll with my soup which I presume was an oversight, for our mains my wife had turkey, and I opted for the roast beef, both meals were very good, and the portions were ample, we finished off with cheesecake, and sticky toffee pudding, all in all an excellent meal, served up by very friendly staff. This was our second visit in a few weeks as we had a bar snack on the day we went to pay our deposit for the Christmas meal, again, both our meals were excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again.

In a of the most nicest relaxing environments everyone treated with respect and all the kids get a free lolie pop to witch thay love I highly recommend peter and Mary's cafe it's one of the best places around thankyou from Leona John

We went for dinner at the black lane ends as a table of six and throughly enjoyed our experience. From the lovely members of staff who accommodated our needs to the delicious food it was lovely. We went due to the buy one get one free meal deal and it definitely made a huge difference to our bill even with the cheapest meal going free as per the terms and conditions. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

I went to the Alma and my server Jenny was the best offering the menu the food was delicious she was so welcoming and I can’t wait to go back

Really poor inattentive service from waiters and waitresses. Very long wait for order to be taken, and plates to be removed. We waited almost 25 minutes for a desert menu, this only arrived after asking twice. The manager was nice and friendly, very apologetic, but overall not a great experience.
