The best restaurants serving British food in South Tynedale Northumberland North East

We booked two rooms as we were attending a family party locally. The rooms are spotlessly clean and of a very high standard throughout . The breakfast was delicious and the customer service was great from the moment we arrived, to the moment we checked out. We look forward to visiting again very soon .

Several of my friends and I were camping down the road and booked in, locals we got talking to were lovely, there was a great vibe to the place and the food was fantastic. Food was expensive but warrented the cost with how nice it was, you get what you pay for! Would highly recommend!

This is a village community pub that we visit for three reasons First to help the community. Secondly for the superb food, the home made steak pie is a big favorite. And the third is the friendliness.of staff and customers.

Lovely filling food reasonably priced great atmosphere in bar . Rooms comfortable everything you need and more . Great value for money. Great bus route just out side hotel .

Popped in last night for 1 staff very friendly ask if they did Sunday lunches they said they did ordered 5 for next day absolutely gorgeous and reasonable prices 😀 Brian &Gill

Beautiful cosy little pub with amazingly friendly staff! The food was brilliant! The bar and kitchen staff were lovely, food and drink was reasonably priced, I’d recommend dropping in here if/when passing by! It’s dog friendly, Good sized beer garden for the summer with a play area for the kids also!

Both had lamb which was lovely and came with really delicious veg including cauliflower cheese and perfect roasties. Excellent sticky toffee pudding too. Service was good and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant, despite being very busy. Husband asked for ice cream with dessert as well as the cream and mentioned it was his birthday. They produced a plate with 'Happy Birthday' on it with a bowl of ice cream on the side! What a lovely gesture. Highly recommend this lovely place. Upstairs dining room is gorgeous.

Wonderful welcome and they looked after my dog like noone else. Food was great, staff were great. Nothing to complain about. Definitely recommend

After a fantastic meal here on the Saturday night (fish n chips and the open steak sandwich) we returned again, the following Friday. This time we both had the Manor Inn burger. Fantastic food yet again and possibly the best burger I have had in a long time. Staff were fantastic and service was outstanding.

After the rain we received while we visited the camp, it is pleasant to enter this warm space and have something hot and visit the museum once dry and reconstituted.

Nice food but be warned you have to pay for parking. They'll say there are signs up to remind customers of this, but I didn't see a thing and have been landed with a fine.

We went for afternoon tea after our time at the spa. What a wonderful experience it was. The customer service we received from Cristian was second to none. He was polite and courteous, and nothing was too much trouble. It is, sadly, unusual to receive this level of customer service nowadays and I cannot praise him enough. The sandwich selection was traditionally but tasty, scone’s where fresh and the cake selection was delicious. Thank you, would definitely recommend.

Stopped at King's head for one night with friends whilst doing coast to coast , I found the landlord Phil and his staff very friendly who went above and beyond in accommodating us , we were arriving late and Phil kept the kitchen open for us to serve a very nice Sunday dinner and fish and chips , the bar was very friendly with a good choice of drinks at very reasonable prices , the rooms very clean , they may be a bit dated but I think that adds to the charm , and a very nice full monty breakfast next morning to send us on our way on our last cycling leg

Hi me and my sister booked a spa day here and found the experience to be poor. We arrived and there was no beds available to relax on. No cups available to help yourself to water food was nice however I requested a Diet Pepsi and was given a full fat Pepsi after explaining to staff that I am type 1 diabetic this ended up me being poorly in the evening due to hyperglycaemia. Then as we went to get changed I couldn’t even see in the mirror to set my hair doe the overflown towel bin! There was a mountain of filthy dirty towels in the way. Disgusting for cleanliness I will not be retuning again.
