The best restaurants serving British food in North East

Emily was our server for the evening and she accommodated us so kindly and was such a polite person.

Really friendly caring staff. The food was fantastic and beautifully presented. We had dinner, bed & breakfast which was good package price. The bar is lovely with nice choice of drinks. The building is old (beautiful staircase!) and rooms dated, but they are updating over time and the room was warm and spotlessly clean. With fresh cut flowers and nice towels. Don’t be put off by the 2 star status, please support smaller businesses and independents! Many thanks for looking after us and returning my glasses in the post! Maxine.

Cake amazing. Kept us full all day. It was tasty and packed with flavour Then coffee was a funny flavour. It was not strong. It tasted funny and wasn't nice. I think it was long life milk and a cappuccino was more like s very milky latte , with milk that tastes like sachets in b and b. Would not recommend for coffee but cake was lush.

Me sister and i had been to hospice ,checked out coronation reviews , wasnt disappointed lovely small sunday dinner , just like mam used to make !! Be aware tho that pay to park and get money back on first drink ! Definitely go back

Popped in for lunch had hot roast sandwich with gravy. Was really nice would definitely go back. Friendly staff beautiful views of the golf course

This is the friendliest Costa I’ve ever been to. As I don’t live in Yarm, it’s not my local Costa, but every time I’ve been here, the staff are so warm, welcoming, courteous and will do everything to make their customers feel looked after. The store is the cleanest I’ve been to as well. Lovely.

Very nice locals bar showing sky footie. Right opposite spoons, so very competitive prices. Lovely friendly girl behind the bar. Was there following Bromley day before the game. Food = bar snacks, hence low score.

I LOVE the Dean wrap! Grilled chicken, cheese,lettuce, ranch dressing on a spinach wrap. Went at noin, super busy..but got meal in about 15 minutes. 50s style..Marilyn Monroe..but super tight.

Appalling service... avoid at all costs. I will never return, worst customer service I have ever experienced. No sugar provided on outside tables, no with coffee, I requested some politely and a server told me to get it myself from the back of the cafe, extremely abruptly..this was not practical as I had a 2 year old toddler already sat down eating in the outside area and I couldn't leave him unattended..thankfully, another customer kindly offered to get me some. Perhaps leave sugar on tables or put on side as you serve coffee , this would be much easier for those alone with young children, and perhaps be more polite if people request sugar

Great bar, good beer but they run the menu from untapped which is currently 3 days out of date. Annoying if you've walked across town and annoying when you keep asking for beers that aren't on.

My steak was pretty good and cooked nicely medium rare. The service was really slow with staff wandering around looking lost and leaving food sitting under a hot lamp for some time.

My parents had a lovely meal for their anniversary here. They were spoiled rotten by Stephanie and had a delicious meal and a fantastic time. Good choices on their menu and a great atmosphere!

Food luke warm yet again after being assured on last visit it was a one off and management would speak to kitchen staff to ensure it would not happen again.

Best American styled burger I have in the UK. It taste like home.
