Lovely friendly atmosphere. We had travelled up from Coventry for the game, and was welcomed in by all. Great food and big TV's all aground the pub to watch the footy and the darts. Would highly recommend.

Decided to have Lunch here with Mum yesterday and we are very glad we did. The atmosphere was top notch, the staff were all lovely, and the food was fantastic. Overall we had a great visit and will definitely be back.

I visited the pub 13/12/23 to play darts in a local league game. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great selection of beer/lager on offer all at a very reasonable price and they even put on some lovely grub for us all.

My Parents use to say Farewell to Family in The Coronation , they hired a room . Sadly lot of The Family have passed away . I was born in Boro in 50's but now live in NZ . Came back to Boro after 46yrs . Cousins put on surprise farewell in your pub was great to be in a place of memories of family . Lovely pub lots of M'bro changed or demolished but glad to see you are still standing 👏👏👏❤

A few years since I've visited here, met a mate to watch the UFC fight night. Great big screen, barman kindly put the sound on later in the night, good pint of Stella, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Would have been nice to have some lighter lagers on tap but can't complain too much.

Out for lunch on a Thursday afternoon with my elderly parents we had fish and chips x2 and gammon steak and chips the food was absolutely beautiful very large portions and really tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even brought the drinks to the table and had a chat to my parents. One of the party is disabled and suggested if we need an area that was accessible to ring ahead and a table could be booked. Very enjoyable afternoon thanks to The CORONATION

This a fantastic food and drinks place, the brothers and I loved the mixed grill and hunters chicken and the fosters larger second to none. Full marks on this one... unfortunately I don't think I can manage a sweet though they look just as good.

I go here once a month with a group of friends, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Geoff and Dave You have a choice of a lite bites meal or full main menu, service is fast and the food is good. Look forward to it every month

Good pub, great for watching sport or a night out with the missus (music quiz on Wed'). Good selection of beers and lagers at a good price. Bar area's clean and well maintained, outside area front and back. Gentle ramp for wheelchair access. No tracksuits on a weekend evening, give it a go. Dog friendly.

Lunch today was excellent. One of us had gammon steak; lovely juicy steak and perfect eggs. I had cauliflower salad which was so tasty and the salad far exceeded what I would expect from a pub salad. Lovely meal.

An ex Firefighters 75th Birthday get together, landlord had an area for us and over a dozen retired lads turned up for a few pints and a catch up. Great idea.

We booked a table for family meal for 8 family members. Table was set for us when we arrived. Drinks very well priced and varied. we ordered mains and kids meals. Excellent value, well prepared and served quickly. Overall service and attention to detail could not be faulted. On this occasion my wife and i were treating the family but we normally have the early bird specials once a fortnight as they are exceptionally good value. We appreciate a good pub with good drinks and food and will continue to support it in the future.

We had a lovely Christmas lunch here yesterday. Everything was so well organised, food was excellent, plentiful and hot and all staff created the perfect, happy atmosphere for a great Christmas dinner. We would certainly spend Christmas day here again

Been today to the children’s Christmas party, was amazing. Really well organised, breakfast was good, the disco guy was really good got all the kids and parents dancing. Then Elf came too. Special thanks to the lady organiser Beth, well done you. Can’t wait till next year.

Held our annual Christmas party here last night and as always had the best night ! Food was lovely and a great price too ,we are always well looked after and are very lucky to have the added bonus of the amazing Beth helping us with everything from party games,bingo ,music and anything else we may need along the way ,nothing is too much trouble and always greeted with a smile ,we’ll definitely be back !Thank you to Beth and all the staff and plentiful ,great price too

Had a fabulous Christmas party with our dance group, the food was plentiful and so tasty. The night was made all the more special by our hostess Beth, nothing was too much trouble! She officiated our game of bingo, was our judge for our best snowman competition, all with a smile on her face!! Well done Beth and thank you, in the words of Arni, “We’ll be back!!” X

My friend and I had Christmas lunch at The Coronation today. It was delicious, well cooked and well presented. We began with prawn cocktail followed by roast turkey with all the trimmings and lots of vegetables. We finished off with sticky toffee pudding which was so tasty.I don't know how they did it for the price of £20. Give it a go. You will enjoy it.

Nice pub with a wide variety of drinks and excellent food, all well priced. Only downside is it can get very busy and noisy on Friday/Saturday night.

Big pub with lots of TVs playing sport and a pool table. Didn’t eat but it was a nice pub, with nice staff and friendly punters. *After-note … Landlord/lady asked, “why it was a 3 star and what could they do to improve”. I can’t reply as it’s my review, so decided to respond here … It’s a pub which sells food and as I didn’t eat I couldn’t score it accordingly, and it’s an overall rating, so I took a star off. It also costs to park in the car park which isn’t a great attribute. However, because the landlord/lady has taken time to ask, it shows they care and for that I’ve increased it to 4 stars for the pub, drink, the staff and the punters. I will return to try the food and see no reason why it won’t stay as a 4 star. But paying to park to have a drink?

Visited today with 4 year old .Ordered her a children's meal , l had a cup of tea and my husband had a pint of lager.The staff were very professional and friendly .They went out especially to get some fresh milk as l am allergic to UHT.My Granddaughter enjoyed her fishfingers and chips followed by a bowl of icecream.The staff were very friendly with her ,she was given crayons and a picture to colour .She was so impressed that she asked could we come again to the purple pub which is a reference to the front colour.

You know how some pubs just have a good atmosphere? Like a pub in a TV show or something. The staff are friendly, the punters are pleasant, there's always a seat when you need one...just that special something that makes for a proper pub experience. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. We shared some dirty fries to start with but after I got going I couldn't stop: the mixed grill went down a storm, but I had to undo my belt buckle by the end! All in all: classic pub, classic grub. Not a single complaint.

We visited the Coronation at Acklam for Sunday lunch with our 2 young grandsons. We received a warm welcome from the staff, who were very helpful seating us with a highchair. After we had ordered we didnt have a long wait for the food, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely afternoon out on Thursday. Mother had a light bite me and my brother had a steak and my nephew had hunters chicken. The meals were great and the steak cooked perfectly. Service was good and staff very helpful. Will be returning to try Sunday lunch.

Excellent value for very good tasty food. Four of us went, two of us have been before. Standards have definitely improved vastly and all four of us will definitely go again and recommend it to others
