We had burgers of the month which were amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the best of British burger and the Katsu burger. Lovely family catch up on a Wednesday teatime. Staff were on point and lovely again 😊

I came to The Rudds Arms to celebrate my 25th birthday with my family and I was completely astounded by just how kind and generous the staff were to me and my family, along with the exceptional service. They made my day so extra special, made sure all of us were looked after and ensured at all times that I was having the best time. They even went as far to get me a birthday cupcake, some birthday glasses and decorated the table for me. Always quality service beer and food when I swing by after work. Sometimes even take the family. 5 star!!

Came in on a Friday night, good music and atmosphere. We sat in the bar area, and enjoyed the small plates and chips which were all reasonably priced and great quality. Staff were all extremely welcoming and able to help with any questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet night out but still wants a lively atmosphere!

Awful experience! The Sunday dinner came cold and dry as a bone. The meat was fatty the gravy was really lumpy all the veg was hard. We had to send it back and ask for a refund which then resulted in the manager charging us again instead of a refund and asked us to wait 5 working days to come back in to revive it which is such bad customer service! The manager was rude and not understanding will definitely not be returning

Can’t fault the place! Was there for the band night. Great entertainment all the way with DJ too! Huge open areas inside and out, plenty of tables and seating, bouncers on the doors, rapid service at the bar. Great atmosphere. Looking forward to going back again.

Ordering at the bar took ages. My rare steak was well done, but I was so hungry by the time it came that I just ate it. My Eaton Mess was ice cream and squirty cream with a little strawberry sauce on it, no fruit or meringue to be found. The bar and the floors were sticky. So overall, it's not expensive but not great either.

Fab service from Dee tonight! So helpful and ensured we had a seat and a table to eat at tonight! She couldn’t have done more to help!

Just finished walking the other half round Stewart’s pit and I thought I’ll pop in for a small bite to eat. I had 2 3oz burgers and fries with my drink. Nice service, gorgeous food, and at reasonable prices. Will call again darlings.

Went here with three sen children. As children do they were running about and playing, we did try to keep this to a minimum - a member of staff came over to inform us that children are not allowed to run about as it is health and safety. The member of staff did not have a response when asked if people being drunk on a Saturday night in there was not a health and safety issue, no reply to that. If you don't want children in a pub don't be a family friendly pub, not all children have the capacity to sit there quietly colouring in. So if you've got a child with a hidden disability and struggles to sit down and shut up (like children should apparently) don't go here. Youll get judgement looks and told your child's behaviour that they cannot control is a health and safety issue. The irony that my child fell over one of their beer garden umbrellas outside that was on the floor. Complaint to head office pending. Oh and if you get fish and chips you'll get a tablespoons worth of mushy peas.

Light lunch with friends. Huge, airy room which meant not too much atmosphere. Seemed very understaffed with one girl doing everything and very long waiting times for the food. The food itself was very average but was remarkably cheap and therefore very good value for money. The big downside was a woman in the centre of the dining area who was vaping and puffing out huge volumes of nasty looking materiel. I would never return here again because of this.

Thank you to the staff especially Mark, who make the perfect drink as im very fussy. Bridie was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The manager Robert was walking around the bar making us feel welcome and exchanging conversation even though he was not working. Definitely recommend

Visited on Saturday, very busy and great atmosphere the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the lads behind the bar called Mark was so helpful and lovely. Myself and friends had a couple of small plates which came really quickly and tasted amazing good value for money.

Only popped in for a pint, it was clean and food smelled nice

Visited the rudd arm part of the greenshank chain for drinks and lunch but where taken aback by the price of a pint of soft drink of coke at £3.85 As a driver I find this disgusting the chain is charging this amount for cyrup and carbonated water approx 20p This is extortionate and will not be visiting the rudd Arms of any other greeneking establishment again I would suggest the same until they revisit there price structure

Lovely meal ,we had the southern fried chicken burger and skin on fries, and we thoroughly enjoyed and left empty plates. ,my mother had hunters chicken, and she said it was lovely. The only downside was that she didn't realise the salad came with a dressing on, but other than that she enjoyed it. I would definitely go back .

Came here for a few drinks. A girl called Brydey served us at the bar. Such a lovely polite young lady. Started a conversation with me straight away having a laugh. We sat down with our drinks. She came over near us cleaning tables and asked my partner if he wanted the tv changing as he was watching another match on his phone. She done this and also turned up the tv. If only there were more staff like this 10 out of 10 for customer service

Walked in met by bridey at the bar such a lovely pleasant girl nice flowing chat sat down seen I was watching the Chelsea game on my phone as the Celtic game and instantly came over asked what game I was watching and changed the channel over really nice to meet people with such a friendly approach

40 mins waiting for drinks ordered on the app food been and gone. Tried speaking at the bar to Marc who shrugged his shoulders didnt give a damn, no customer service whatsoever. Basically i have to wait easier to queue for 5 mins.

Great little pub ...food was excellent and waiting staff were friendly, polite and well presented!

Wish I could give this place a minus, allows dogs in, so now you end up eating your food surrounded by barking dogs, perhaps you should close and reopen as a kennel. Visited here recently, walked in and was stood waiting to be served, 2 bar staff, one of which is the manager, walked past me, no acknowledgment, to then end of the bar, to help what I think was a chef/cook find a screw driver. Chefs clothing was disgusting. Intended to eat, but left. This place is local so will probably visit again. Hopefully the will have had some customer service training or hopefully developed some basic manners.

Staff are very efficient. Always greeted with a warm Hello and friendly conversation. Excellent choice of beverages and food to wet and feed the appetite, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic and low alcoholic drinks available. Our go to place.

Party booking, 25. Good hot food, good value for money. Long delay between food coming out if kitchen. Staff very friendly and worked hard. Obviously under staffed.

I had rump steak and pepper sauce my Mam had Katsu Curry. We had the natchos sharing platter for starters. All very tasty and reasonably priced. The pepper sauce was really tasty and steak was med/rare as requested. Service was spot on and with a smile

Food was OK, service was a little slow, only one person serving behind the bar taking orders for both food and drinks which didn't help. However, the food was of a decent standard and price when it arrived.

1st time for ages been here forgot how nice it is staff lovely food delicious too lots parking will be doin tea regularly .

All good for a family meal. Staff were helpful and careful re allergies. The burger was very gristly and the scampi meal small. But its a good place and the staff helpful. 3 meals, soft drinks and a kids meal

The Rudds is our local pub and we are very lucky to have it on our doorstep. My husband has been a regular for 35years and in his opinion Rob is the best manager it's had. His staff are great, and always make us feel welcome. Visited yesterday for my husbands birthday and had a lovely night out. A big thank you to the lovely Lauren who always works hard and looks after us. Also thank you Mark ,Bridie ,Leah ,Kyle ,Kelly and the rest of the team. Keep up the good work.

Popped in. Ordered from the app. Lasagne, chips, and a mixed grill, and 2 ciders. Quite quickly the lasagne came... they said the mixed grill is coming and asked if we needed anything else...I told him we were still waiting for drinks.... he went and checked and brought them, spilling one as he put it down. The lasagne was 75% eaten by the time the mixed grill finally came. Along with the chips which were meant to go with the lasagne. Also we ordered rosemary salted fries and no lie there was 3 flakes of rosemary . The place was quiet too. Considering its a greene king, the highfield along the road is sooo much better

Sorry I thought I put 5 stars we had a great night at the quiz and come third and the food was spot on.

Great good served by a friendly and efficient, helpful team. Sunday roast very tasty, great fresh veg, well cooked. Lovely cauliflower cheese. Husbands steak cooked as ordered and very succulent. Puds - brownie and a fruit crumble were good sized portions of tasty delight with delicious clotted cream vanilla ice cream.

To the frequent pub user , this is a typical greene king pub . Set on the main road into Middlesbrough and pleasantly decorated inside . I enjoyed my visit here having a couple of pints watching the football on a Sunday afternoon. How very working class English! 😎

Just had a lovely meal at the Rudds. Had a Senior meal 2 courses for £6.99 (the apple and raspberry crumble was outstanding!) Mega good value and excellent friendly staff.

Ended up throwing up the food. Took over an hour to get 2 drinks both of which were cola without ice, when we got it the the cola syrup must have been gone because it was pale and no cola taste, had to get it replaced.

Went for lunch , i orederd the fish & chips off the mains menu , when the food arrived it was very disappointing, the fish was so small , i had to check the bill because i thought i had ordered a kids portion , the waitress came and asked if the food was ok , i did say that the fish was like a sardine & i was offered i free soft drink ! Haha ...yeah that will make up for the tiniest fish ever ...

Service very good, staff helpful concerning my daughters dairy allergy, and food really good (steak and ale pie particularly outstanding). However, this is a very "local" pub, big focus on sport (at TV in every direction) and as such may not be suitable for families.

Bbq Chick wings starter and mix grill main course. That came out together which I didn't like. Deep fried chicken wings and a pot of barbecue sauce, on the mix grill everything seemed to be pre-cooked ordered medium rare steak came out well done , gamon,sausages seem to be warmed up. For the price I think it could have been made all fresh

We arrived at 3.30 pm.We told we needed to vacate our table by 5.00pm as they had a private function on.We decided to move to a different table.Then at about 4.10pm they started to section the area off with us inside this section. It felt very strange to be section behind screens. My wife went to find one of the staff, as the table we were sat at we were told was not included in the private function and didn't have any notices saying it wasn't. We finished around 4.40pm.But we did what a sweet but didn't dare order one .because I don't think we would of been served. And if we had of ordered some I know we would of asked to be moved.Which would of been difficult as the place was packed.We left at 4.50pm just as the guests were coming in.if we were told that we couldn't sit here when we came in it would of been a better experience. Also why didn't anyone tells us this when they brought our food out.

Hi all, I took a wander over to the Rudd’s arms on a wild, extravagant Sunday night. As I sipped away on my perfectly poured pint of moretti, I couldn’t help but take in the relaxed atmosphere of this lovely place. One person really stood out in serving me and my partner and I think her name was Leah. Her customer service was second to none and went above and beyond to make sure my trip here was the best it could have been so thank you very much Leah! You are awesome

Been a few times to The Rudd's recently. Food is really good. Staff are really nice and friendly. On a Friday night there is music which is really good. Last night the 9th June it was a really good night.

Food not so good had better but lovely beer garden and a nice big pub

Atmosphere was nice. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't get the guy in the brown jumpers name but was v helpful with my meal exchange. Food was tasty. Overall a nice place to eat.

Sitting here on a quiet lunchtime, with the other 3 or 4 tables waiting for food. Listening to people who ordered before us saying they had been waiting ages. It is now over half an hour since I ordered and the people who ordered before me are still waiting. Apparently they are a chief down..... But no mention of this when they took orders. So much for my lunch break. Food eventually arrived after 40 minutes, 5 minutes before the people who ordered before me, which was a bit uncomfortable. Seriously Rudd's, just don't take orders you can't promptly fill.

We like to quiz every Thursday and have tea whilst we’re there. Always a good atmosphere!! ( there’s a few old miserable sods in there at times moaning about ‘cheating’ on the quiz & using phones, maybe they’re better suited to mastermind or exam conditions 🤷🏼‍♀️) but it’s all just for a bit of fun, no need to cheat , just there for fun , games and bingo boards. Everyone has a laugh . The prizes each week are hilariously random. Key to the box is addictive and definitely worth a quid. Table service offered for food & drinks and you’re able to book/ reserve a table easily. The staff (Couple of new staff working there too) seem nice , friendly and attentive. All in all great mid week/early weekend night out for a laugh and to challenge those common sense muscles .

We are lucky to have the Rudds as our local. Great atmosphere for families,couples and groups. A big thanks to Rob who is always helpful and makes us feel so welcome.He works hard as do the rest of his staff. So a big thank you from both of us.We thoroughly enjoyed the steak toastie from the meal deal it is excellent value for money.

I came on my own to this pub to watch a local band. On the outside, the building looks well kept. Inside, it has a cool and stylish interior which helps to create a great atmosphere. This pub seems to cater for all types of visitors, i found there to be an eclectic mix of families out for dinner, friends young and old catching up, and people out to enjoy the party and band later in the evening. The staff were really friendly and talktative, which when your on your own, is a really great thing to help you feel comfortable. I like to have a laugh and joke with staff which was possible. It serves a great range of drinks, the food menu is a bit limited. But what they do have is top notch, i enjoyed a mixed grill! Then the band started and that was it, the pub transformed into a fantastic night life venue. There is a big car park out the back or if you need a taxi, get the boro cars app!

Had a table area booked for 25, which def increased to about 35 of us Nurses out for a leaving party. Fab night had by all. 👌

Visited this weekend with a large group, the staff sorted out our own area, near the dance floor and DJ! Great night out for people like my friends and I who don't enjoy clubbing anymore, it was a great middle ground between pub and club....

Great for a night out without heading into the town. Lots of choice for drinks and food. Love how dog friendly the pub is perfect being so close to the park.

Vert large bar and plenty of seats available. Beer garden is fantastic too. Food is good, haven't had a bad meal yet, love the fish and chips. Weekends can be loud but that doesn't bother me. I would much rather stay here on a night...

What's not to love about The rudds, great staff, great beer. Jenny is a credit to the place and kept me topped up with drinks until I needed my bed. All the team were rushed off their feet but didn't falter once.

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Manager Robert aware that we where short of time and did our food straightaway for us. Definitely recommend as delicious.
