Really friendly place whether you want food or drink.. first time here but very nice atmosphere 😉

Isaacs is always a nice place to go for decently priced food and drink!

Its a cheap pub and good for away fans however Guinness was probably the worst I've ever tasted (had metallic taste that intensified near the bottom).

Decent pub grub at reasonable proces..been coming here for years..always a good start to the night xxx

Match day, great atmosphere, plenty of staff on so service was fast.. We expected to wait for food as it was busy but it wasnt a bad wait at all and the food was amazing not 1 fault could be picked. Best pub in town

Came to 'Boro' to watch PNE play. Trying a parmo was a must. Real ale and food were available here. Beer was good and expertly pulled by staff whose competence was 'well above the norm'. We both had a parmo meal and really enjoyed it. Thanks to the landlady at the 'infant Hercules' for suggesting we go here.

Only been in twice & out of all the pubs to eat in in Middlesbrough this is my no 1 , food is amazing , staff are friendly & will accommodate yr every need

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The pub is really clean and comfortable. The food is lovely and you get big portions. Their prices are fair too and worth it. Overall I would definitely be coming back here again.

We came in today (01/07/24) Amazing atmosphere and such friendly staff. A big shout out to Quinn for excellent service, we were both made to feel comfortable and she was so helpful with our picky orders i cannot praise her enough, as a person who works in management in hospitality i can say she has customer service mastered. The food was delicious, i highly recommend the colonel burger, one of the best chicken burgers I’ve had. Very cheap pints as i only paid £1.50 for a pint of cider. The only reason I’m giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 was when the supervisor (i believe) brought over our desserts she was holding the spoons by the mouthpieces which was very unhygienic. Apart from that it was flawless and we will definitely be back.

Love the Issacs, the food is home cooked, love their dirty chips, the Hunters Chicken.. Not so much. But unlike Weatherspoons, it's homecooked. The staff, that i've met are cracking people, fun to talk to.. The choice of music on an afternoon is awesome, they get the rock and metal out for the students.. But it's my kind of music, Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer etc. They have a wide array of independant ales that I love trying, new ones every week I go. Tge po table is a quid though, cheaper at the Green Tree. All in all I love the Issac,I come back here every week. Highly recommend.

Great pub food and choice of beers. I had the chicken Parmo which is a decent size but came with big portions of thick cut chips, coleslaw, salad and sauce. With a pint of the local beer it came to only 13.40

We visited on a quiet Sunday evening. We were lucky to get there just before the kitchen was closing and wow, what a result. My wife and I shared the chicken combo for £15.99. The amount of chicken that you get, in various forms, was incredible and you also get a choice of chips, fries or spicy rice. We tried our best but we just couldn't finish everything. Well worth a visit.

Terrible meal here today, I requested my lunch and asked for the eggs to be cooked hard, not runny, they came slimy and the chips looked as if they had been cooked ages ago and then just put in the fat to warm up were greasy and soggy with burnt bits among the chip , We will never eat here again a really waste of money and slap dash attitude to presenting meals

This pub had some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I have come across, really made you feel welcome and at ease. Building is large and interesting with a lot of seating areas. It was very busy when I was in and to be honest some of the clientele was a little 'rough around the edges' which made relaxing a little more difficult. Food was excellent and well priced and beer selection was brilliant. Very impressed overall.

Nice pub but very cold. Doesn't encourage you to stay for more than one drink if you have to keep your coat on

Good drink and a place to meet friends

This was a fantastic pub for a drink, with an old school design! This includes the vintage architecture and signs are classic like the one for the toilets haha, the counter is well-presented too. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed a can of Middlesbrough beer, sitting at the comfortable seating!

Visited on a Friday night in January. Got the nicest service of the 4 pubs I visited in Middlesbrough. Lovely staff in large ex 'spoons location. Good selection of real ales. Decent pub food. If I return to this town, this is the pub I'll revisit.

Good verity of food on menu but sadly alot of the things we wanted to try were not available on this day. Tasty and good value for money. Could do with jazzing up a bit inside its a bit dark but it's clean and plenty of seating. Very friendly lovely staff.

Haven’t been in for years , was first port of call for chistmas doo, decided to have food also , food was fine exactly what you would expect from a pub service was great , Very well ran pub in my opinion 👍🏻

Long wait for food wouldn't have been a problem if they had informed us in ordering. They keep running out of bottles.

Love this pub. Great friendly atmosphere. Extremely efficient staff. Had one of the Christmas turkey Yorkie wraps, excellent 10/10, great value money and home cooked chips. Great value pints as well

I ordered hunters chicken. Discusting! Chicken dry, bacon tasted like it had been flung on, just fried, greasy.we sat with unfinished plates, no one came over to ask if evething OK. Our plates answered that.

Brilliant pre match pub. Short walk to Riverside stadium. Recommend the parmo loaded fries. Even when busy the service was fast and friendly. Really cheap!

I won't be going back, not because I don't want to but apparently the open mic night doesn't allow lap dancing. I've been barred out of better places. In my hunt for a rich, gullible widow to buy me a space to reopen my hugely successful mental illness creative project called professor Maniac's Emporium of Wonder,the Isaac Wilson would be a brilliant venue but as a place it meet a rich, gullible widow it is not really the type of establishment to attract them as it's clientele, hence the 4 stars.

i have beening coming here with me dog for some time now untill today said i wasnt aloud in even though i had id for her as she is an assistance dog witch i showed the manger the card as proof he wasn't having any of it i was ask to leave there the for it is disabled discrimination towards me i am goinf to counil over this & seeing a lawe about it

Staff are friendly Nikki is amazing at her job and makes you feel welcome always smiling and keeping the team smiling and the bar was clean

Came for breakfast, never again. Food was a low quality, deep fried mess that was was tasteless until you were hit with a weird aftertaste. Burned bacon, cold 'toast' that was just bread with a tan line and the hash browns were green on the inside..... Absolute ripoff and one of the most unappetising things I've ever been served.

Always a good Atmosphere in this place, Food Is Fantastic, Always A Range Of Different Beers To Try, Dropped a Star as Made To Order A Spirit instead of a Cask Ale, Which it does state on the Menu is included with certain meals(Photo Attached), But Staff Denied that we couldn’t have Any Cask Ales included

Ordered several different burgers for lunch (5 of us). It came fairly promptly but the burgers were very small although you got two in each meal, they barely filled the bun. They were also over done, verging on charcoal. The food was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for. Won't be coming back, it's a shame as the breakfasts are nice but the lunch time meals are severely lacking in quality.

It's been ages since we'd been here, there was some craft ales and good selection of traditional. The food was brilliant and quick. Would definitely recommend, Oh! they weren't taking your eyes out for a beer either, well worth a visit.

Sent e mail to manager about dirty tables and hand rails recieved a sarcastic e mail back saying he would have laid out best silver ware nd fine china out if we were going to grace him with our presence. I find this so unprofessional and rude, customers beware and go elsewhere

Spent a few hours with old workmates and had a great time. Good food, excellent choice of beers and good prices. Will certainly be going back

Food is dreadful. I had a burger and it was the worst burger I have ever had. Supposed to be a double burger and the burger them self where so thin I would need two more to make a normal size one. The condiments are cheap and just taste like viniger only two pluses was that the chips where nice and kids portion where big. I use to come here all the time for food but since its been taken over the food has gone down hill so so bad. Don't waste your money on the food. Staff where very friendly tho

Won't be back here , each draught lager was pulled flat , no taste , no flavour. It's about time senior management visited this place to see for themselves. Draught lager was shocking.

Chicken parmo was awesome!!!! Layers of cheese, best one so far!! Drinks and food are really cheap but zero compromise on quality!! Staff are lovely, would 100% recommend!!

Visited the pub on a Saturday to watch QPR vs Middlesbrough. 1st time been to Middlesbrough. The pub is in a great location close to the train station and town centre. As visiting fans we were made to feel welcome. Food and drink were all very good, prices were excellent. We tried Parmos for the 1st time and they were lovely as were the fresh chips. Staff excellent as well. Will definitely visit again if in Middlesbrough

Last three times have had a breakfast and been disappointed as the eggs are hard and the toast is cold

Visited here a few times now since moving to the area. Large pub with pool and darts. Always has decent music playing. Good selection of drinks and food is very good. Staff great.

OK, start with negatives. Needs a lift to decor and some basic DIY, eg ladies toilets :hard pressed to find a toilet that has a lock on! On the plus side, food very reasonably priced and edible, which helps! Staff are great and make for a good atmosphere

Came in few weeks ago with my partner...and think the chef has a smell and taste problem...over cooked chips with a slight burnt taste and tasteless dry over cooked parmo....was that bad i left quite a bit... you need a coat to go to loo its that cold. plus theres always a wee smell near the stairs to toilets ...keep the great bar staff ....change the crap chef

I have had some wonderful food in here previously , but sadly the last time i came it was tiny portions and this time when i came the Parmo was flavourless and hard around the edges and the cheese was rock hard around the edges , the same for my girlfriends , in fact she left hers and as i was hungry and stressed i ate some of hers , also there was no bechamel sauce in it either , the chips were nice - they always are but £8.89 each for 2 parmesans with no flavour is not good value and also smaller than what we used to get. Considering Covid signs for health and safety the toilets were an absolute disgrace toilet one - no lock on the door , toilet 2 - no seat , toilet 3 - no toilet paper , and out of the first 3 taps i went to use only one worked. The only saving grace for this pub is the selection of different drinks it serves and the staff who are hardworking , lovely lovely salt of the Earth friendly people - and always have been every time we go in - its just a shame the food and the toilets didnt meet the excellent staff and then you would have a winning pub - your staff are an absolute tribute to your Pub.

Large and spacious pub just outside the town centre, near the railway station. However, not easy to find, being half-hidden beneath a flyover (but worth persevering). Selection of real beer.
