Amazing service and fantastic food. 10 stars. Lovely atmosphere. We popped in for lunch and we're not disappointed. The carvery was brilliant 😁

Lovely place to meet up and have dinner

Update been back today and the veg was mushy and the roast potatoes like rocks. Think it’s been stop on the hotplate for hours. Disappointed!! Simply put “what a cracking carvery” Lovely staff too.

Been today with sister we both enjoyed the steak and ale pie,food came out quickly and hot,thoroughly enjoyed our meals.The staff are so friendly & helpful.We come quite regularly and we've never had a bad meal.Great place fab variety of food and lovely staff 😀

I had the fish and chips. There was an offer where you got a main course and pud . I nearly choked when I saw it . It was soooo small. Don't get it you will be disappointed

Breakfast with Santa was a very enjoyable experience and well worth the money. Staff were pleasant and Santa was fantastic with the kids and visible to all through the experience. Biscuit decorating was a nice surprise and present was well thought out. Cooked breakfast with toast was available with juice, water, tea and coffee.

Aunty Heather was like a mother to us geordie style. Emma the manager looked after us very well. Excellent professional and beyond 5 star

Came with my 9 month old daughter and niece staff were brilliant when it came to my little ones allergies. Staff were so understanding when my little girl spewed all over the floor! Food was lovely and huge potions for the price.

As we are regulars we decided to book for Xmas dinner. There were only 3 of us in our party and we got seated bang on time in an absolutely heaving restaurant. We were shown to our table and it was explained to us how things would work with the waiting staff etc. and from then on it went like clockwork. Got our drinks and we were then asked if we were ready for our starters which were all delicious. We then went to the carvery and we were all given a large oval plate to fill with whatever we fancied. We all agreed that every single thing was cooked perfectly. We were asked if we’d like our desserts yet but we asked if we could hang on a bit to let the massive dinner sink down! About 10mins later the puds came. 2 of us enjoyed them but 1 didn’t really like the texture of theirs so left some of it. Even though the staff were giving up their Xmas day to help us enjoy ours, every single interaction with them was a very pleasant one (just as it always is) and they all helped to make our Xmas day a very special one indeed. Will definitely be booking up again next year.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thankyou all very much indeed.

Just been to breakfast with Santa, and what an amazing exoerience we had. Lovely staff, lovely food, Santa was amazing so lovely and spent time at every table before playing games and when we were decorating cookies. I would definatley reccomsnd this to anyine and will definatley book to Come back new year

Great service tonight. On my way to Ireland thought I’d stop at the Wheatsheaf it’s round the corner from Newcastle airport, was seated at the door witch I thought was a nice touch. Beth and Lindsey on the bar went above and beyond perfectly poured pints every time. Will be back if I’m in the area and recommend to anyone

Booked breakfast with santa for the 2nd year and it didn't disappoint. From the food to the activities with santa was great. The staff are brilliant and friendly. Only thing that knocked the food from 5 star to 4 star was scrambled egg is had shell in otherwise the rest was delicious

Heather and Mary have been a pleasure to see each morning, I stayed for a week and each morning I was greeted with a smile and a cheery attitude. Lovely ladies that set you up for the day.

When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Chloe will was a ray of happiness, energy and fun! She was professional yet approachable all at the same time and instantly made us feel at ease and welcome! Great start! We were showed to our table , a lil booth next to the bar area and it was cozy and warm and surrounded by some lovely Christmas decorations! I ordered a small carvery and my husband ordered a hallomui fries starter and for his main loaded chicken strips!- The carvery food was fantastic! Especially the carrots and the sprouts! The cauliflower cheese was mmmmm mmm and the yorkies were lovely!! Plenty of selection too! My husband's starter was fantastic not over done but lovely and soft worth a nice sweet chili dip with the fries!- He really enjoyed his loaded chicken strips especially the cheese sauce on top!! I had some ice cream for dessert and the husband had something new and went for the toffee fudge cake! Both delicious!! Throughout our meal a lovely young lady called Danielle always made sure we were ok and the food was ok, had a very very pleasant attitude and a very lovely smile.! The whole entire staff here are amazing but big shout out to Danielle and Chloe.! We will definitely be back!

Yorkshire's hard and rest of food cold

Carvery turned up but had no meet, I ordered Gammon and Beef but I was given neither. Tried to call restaurant and button wouldn’t work. If I wanted a meet free carvery I would have ordered one!

Took my grandma here for dinner. She said it’s the best dinner she’s had. I would have to agree with her. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Came today for our family Christmas meal out there was 7 of us and I must say it was absolutely beautiful very friendly staff and helpful thanks to you all we no doubt will be back again.. I was also there for breakfast Thursday with friends and couldn't fault it 😀

The food was absolutely amazing, the beef in particular was gorgeous. And the slices of cake were massive. Lilly was the perfect waitress to our table of 7. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. We will defo be back 🥰

Rubbish. Arrived, no one at the door so rang bell for attention. No one arrived after waiting a while more. Rang bell and kept waiting. Still no one in spite of it being empty inside. Left and went somewhere else. Wouldn’t return. Very poor first impression.
