The best restaurants serving British food in London

This is a gem of a place! I managed to walk in for lunch on a Thursday. So fortunate. I had a champagne and white negroni to start my meal. The started was Foie gras and Chicken liver on a brioche bread. Yummy! The main was a rump steak medium rare! Cooked to perfection. It was just a wonderful luncheon!

Great pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the beer was excellent — exactly what you’d hope for in a place like this. The staff were fantastic — professional, polite, and very helpful. The pub was full, with most tables taken or reserved, but they still managed to find us a spot. Thanks to them, we had a really nice and tasty meal. A place definitely worth visiting again. Dog friendly.

The food was pretty good, nothing exceptional. But it was by no means bad, it was decent I'd probably go back. Got the fish n chips, Steak Pie, and Breaded chicken dish. The Fish n' chips were good 4/5 great crisp and fries were think, the batter was a bit bland but not bad. The Steak pie was decent but not so flavorful. The Chicken was bland 2/5, it didn't taste bad, but it definitely needed more to it, we used some of the Steak pie sauce to pour over it which made it alot better, but alone it was pretty tasteless. It's a very cute bar and we really loved the esthetic.

Tremendous garbage said restaurant, terrible service and they charge you 2 69 percent for the service. I'll never come back here again. Not even if they give me food

Me, brother, mum and dad had a lovely time celebrating my birthday, the food was far greater than what I was expecting, and the whole place seemed very laid back, it's a place I'd got to again.

Clean place and managed with non-intrusive friendliness. You can find the best-tapped Guinness in London, almost at Irish level. The Sunday Roast is really plentiful and the quality is well above average.

Excellent - really EXCELLENT - Sunday lunch… and I have tried many over the past few months trying to find the best in London. The mixed roast plate (beef, pork belly, chicken) was fabulous with perfectly cooked chicken and pork - the beef wasn’t quite rare enough for me but all the trimmings were there and all totally lovely. My only gripe is that the Virgin Mary was under spiced and that the apple and horseradish sauces came in weeny bowls … but absolutely among the very best Sunday treats in London.

We found this pub while exploring Little Venice and Paddington Basin. What a discovery. The atmosphere is great. Our valentines evening was perfect. Steak and Ale pie and Chicken and bacon burger, with some very well looked after Guinness. Sunday roast to share was fantastic. Three meats and all the trimmings. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Absolutely recommend this pub.

Nice pub, plenty of outdoor space

Food was basic, taste wise, good, however rather meagre portion sizes for the prices. Don't forget your coat! No heating on during our visit so eating in our coats

Used to make great food but now unfortunately it's just pizza and fried chicken. I won't eat there anymore.

Went there for super Saturday 6 nations. Unbelievably good fun, such a good pub with an amazing atmosphere and team working there!

We were dining on a week night. The food was delicious, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is just right. We had a very nice dinner, highly recommended.
