Had a swift pint here. Service with a smile, warmly welcomed. Other half was dsappointed that there was no Heineken or Stella on draught, only bottle. Cruzdecampo did hit the spot. We were drawn there by the advertisement of an open fire. Sadly...it was gas and we were hoping for a log/coal fire. Gutted. Otherwise, a nice local.

We hired the back bit of the garden for a Confirmation Party. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Moreover, due to the unpredictable weather, they were very flexible where the party should take place- inside or outside. I would definitely recommend this venue for any occasion, come rain or shine and especially those with young children as they have a fantastically large garden with swings and a slide and even room for a game of football. Thank you to the Kings Arms for helping making our day so special!

We reserved an area at The Kings Arms earlier this month, for our daughters christening. From the outset Jamie and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, ensuring that everything went smoothly on the day. Would highly recommend this pub for anyone hosting a small party or for an afternoon/evening out...An all round, lovely pub with a great garden for children!

We hired the back area of the garden for my friends baby shower. The team were great, they set up some barriers so we had our own private section. We were allowed to decorate the area, bring our own food and they provided a Bluetooth speaker with great sound. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was a good variety including non alcoholic gins and ciders. The play area was perfect for the children to play where we could keep an eye on them.

I booked lunch for my birthday which happens to be Mother’s Day ( a month ago). Couldn’t believe that the owner called me on Monday night to ask what meat I wanted for Mother’s Day lunch - when I told them 2 of my children were vegetarian they said there is no vegetarian choice they will only serve meat. Not only is that just plain wrong in todays world - they should’ve told us on booking that they font cater for vegetarians lnot eave it till 5 days before Mother’s Day leaving us with no where else to go.

A pleasant town centre pub with several spacious rooms set around a generous bar with large garden to the rear. Four cask ales on offer and the first tried was in poor condition. A quick word to the barman and we swapped for an alternate which was well conditioned an served. Extensive lunchtime menu and the food was good and promptly served. Very friendly staff. Good value.

We sat out in the back garden. The food was excellent, couldn't fault it. Chicken Tikka Masala and chicken supreme both lovely, chips were really crunchy, but soft inside. The garden could really do with a serious clean up - bits of rubbish stuck in the tables and fag ends around that need clearing. The tables could do with a lick of varnish. However, new manager takes over soon and maybe things will be different. Good luck to Danny and thanks to John, who will still be around, I'm sure.

I was staying at the hospital and a nurse had recommended the Sunday roast. I wasn’t disappointed. I had roast beef with all the trimmings and it was lovely. The beef was lovely and tender, to much for me but I’m not a big meat eater. Veggies were lovely and fresh and roast potatoes nice and crispy. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I will return next time I’m in the area.

I had a Sunday lunch here on remembrance Sunday and it was so nice to see the pub supporting the local community hosting local uniformed services. The pub is a nice traditional English pub, with a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The downside was the food, I was expecting a nice traditional roast dinner, however the dish came out swimming in gravy to the point that you couldn't see the meat. The gravy was watery, had very little flavour. I had the lamb, which tasted nice, but was extremely thinly sliced and resembled more like the meat you expect from a microwave meal. The vegetables had been cooked to within an inch of their lives. However the potatoes were good. I would certainly recommend the deserts though!!!

An Authentic English Pub! This is a real English pub! With more than 300 years of history it has many stories to tell. Highway men drank at this pub. WWI wounded Aussies at the local hospital drank at this pub. Royalty visited this pub. It has real history! Low ceilings. Cosy sitting areas. Well stocked bar. Sunday lunch was excellent! Real pub food! Roast lamb and veg was as good as it gets. But what makes this pub stand out is the people. Wonderful serving staff. Bar manager was attentive, calm, talking effortlessly to every guest. Every one there was a local. Elderly people in their 80’s having a traditional Sunday roast. Listening to the locals was a pleasure. Endless stories. Lots of laughter. These are the real English people you won’t get in a fancy London pub. This is a pub where you are welcome. Three of us lunched here on a Sunday afternoon. The pub was reasonably busy, but, was easing as it was 2.15. Unfortunately the waitress got our order slightly wrong (roast beef instead of burger). This was rectified fairly rapidly and all of the food was very good. My impression was that they are really trying to achieve customer satisfaction. The menu is very basic and the desserts lack imagination. Would go again. Very convenient for Harefield Hospital.

AVOID - we stayed in the Premier Inn next door and hadn't realised that the Grapes was no longer a Beefeater. The decor is still Beefeater themed but upon closer inspection it was clearer that the Premier Inn were in charge. By the time we saw the menu we couldn't be bothered to find an alternative - alternative was certainly a good description for the male waiter who behaved very strangely. We were the only customers and food (barely edible) arrived 40 minutes later and cold. Our complaints (also incomplete but charged) were ignored. Something we never do but will be putting in a written complaint.

The food was awful. Clearly pre prepared, placed in a bowl then microwaved when needed. I had Teryaki Salmon on sticky rice. Hardly any sauce, rice was dry and salmon severely overcooked, infact hard and dry. I ordered a side of green vegetables which were practically raw! Will never eat there again!

We stayed in the Radisson Blu the night before a trip to America and wanted to avoid a fast food meal, and so decided to eat at the hotel bar as they offered salads. We opted for two chicken, bacon and avocado salads and two soft drinks. The salads were just about warm, with some leaves gone rather than wilted. My husband couldn't eat the chicken on his. We did comment on this to staff. This cost, just shy of £60. Disgusting for what it was. We should have just popped to McDonald's.
