The Grapes Beefeater in Hillingdon

Great meal tonight at the Grapes the original Beefeater in Hayes. Food was hot and delicious! Service was amazing too. I have to give a special shout out to Alan our waiter whose service was impeccable. He made us feel so welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Grapes team. We will be back soon.

Even though we arrived late due to trains being all to goose we were made to feel very welcomed and we’re not rushed or admonished for our tardiness. While the food is somewhat basic, it is very tasty and sometimes you just want a good burger and chips without all the fancy bells and whistles you sometimes get landed with. Also, big shout out to our server Alan who was attentive without being intrusive. All in all you could do a lot worse then pop in here for a quick bite to eat.

Excellent staff, good food As a travelling worker the staff make it feel like home from home. Looking forward to my next 3 months of eating here.

Met some work colleagues here for a drink. It was obvious they were short staff and would say they coped quite well considering. Hats off to the bar staff Kane and Dom for coping so well. I didn’t eat but the food my friends had looked good and I think the waiting staff did well too.

Had lunch today with my partner and niece and was very disappointed. We all choose the fish & chips. My fish was very over cooked with thick rock hard batter which I had to break off by hand. The chips were pale and undercooked. My partners and niece’s were better but not great. We won’t be returning. However the service was excellent. Very nice attentive waitress.

First visit for a while we were greeted promptly and received very good service from Jade. Our meals arrived within good time and were cooked exactly as ordered. We will definitely be back

No booking needed as its not so busy, friendly service and food was ok. Beefeater is an old chain and my past memories always mean I leave a bit disappointed, the place lacks charachter and the plates are quite unimaginative but are as described so its really just a personal feeling. Very poor from being to end. Upon arrival my husband and I was waiting at least 10 minutes for a member of staff to come and sit us down bearing in mind it was not busy only 3 tables was in use. When we finally got shown to a table we was not even sat down before waitress was asking what we wanted to drink. No time to look at the menu have to express it was not busy why the rush. We had ordered our starters and main. Starters come out and was reasonably hot, but during eating the starters the main had come out I explained to waitress we not finished our starters, she responded you don’t want them, I said no not just yet again why was we being rushed, it was that empty the staff could stand around and talk, did not check on customer’s and ask if they needed any more drinks. Service with a smile might help as well very disappointed

Come down all the time. Super cozy with a good atmosphere and staff that go the extra mile. Have been able to speak to staff when I’ve had concerns or fears and always been taking seriously and had every effort made to ensure I felt safe. That level of patron care is so important when enabling young women to go out with a sense of confidence. Paige makes her cocktails look like the ones you see online that the ones in real life never actually look like. Literally you feel bad drinking them. She’s also a sweetheart and great fun. You can tell loads of the regular clients adore her. Kane being on bar just means you’re gonna have a great night, that’s really all there is to it. When I see he’s serving I know it’s about to get lit. Great for a convo when the bar isn’t too busy, and generally a friendly face. Dom is an absolute sweetheart. He heard me say I felt uncomfortable, and made sure that information got where it needed to for things to be dealt with. He’s always in a goofy, fun mood, which enhances any night out. And lastly I’d like to add a small mention for chef Lewis in the back. He’s gone above and beyond to make sure the food we ask for is perfect every time. His churros are to die for. To this end I’ll always ask if he’s the one in the kitchen, so yeah, thanks bestie :>

This is a great place to go for food and drinks. The space is comfortable, the staff were quick and very sociable and the food was great. Big thank you to Kane on the bar who was very friendly, Paige who served us our food who was also very welcoming, and Lewis the chef who checked in on everything to make sure it was all to our liking whilst the place was still quieter. Will definitely come again!
