Fantastic food especially the pies and the vegetable accompaniments. The grill lives up to its reputation as well. The staff from the dapperly dressed Joseph, Knowledgeable Joseph and friendly Sam at the Bar contributed to the brilliant experience. Thank you!

Sunday Roast was delish! Recommend making a reservation but we were lucky to come at a time when there was space for a walk-in. Also enjoyed the Bloody Mary- very flavorful. While they didn’t have a kids menu they suggested sausages for our 7 y.o. with chips and he enjoyed his meal very much.

Delicious steaks and lamb chops! Friendly service and good atmosphere. The crowd outside the pub adds fun! Although we waited a long time for the food even the young children agreed it was worth the wait.

Guinea Grill is a restaurant and extremely popular pub. A hundreds year old steak restaurant in London. Steaks are sold by the gram weight. Salad or potatoes etc are served separately.

Food is incredible and the place is sublime however it’s just so congested you are practically sat on top of other guests. But service food wine selection quality of meat, seafood, ambience incredible. Couple less tables for me that’s all!! Specially if you a tall and broad lad

A regular visitor to Guinea Grill, we secured a private dining room for our Board of Directors. We ran late for our table & called ahead, the GG were very accommodating, we pre-ordered some wine at GG's suggestion. Our American visitors visit every time they are in town, best steak in London!

The BEST steak I’ve ever had. Beautifully rendered fat and cooked to perfection. The staff are so kind and nice too. A wonderful evening and I’ll definitely be back.

We were recommended here by good friends to eat and drink at or just drink at. We did pre dinner drinks before going to sexy fish for dinner. Fab place and really nice atmosphere. Definitely want to go and eat here, and will be back

Service was surprisingly sub-par when we visited (except at the bar, where it was amazing), but everything else was great. I recommend it and plan to go back.

Fabulous! Guinea Grill has an old school charm and blends a lovely traditional London pub bar at the front with an air conditioned fine dining restaurant to the rear. Our party of four were celebrating so we pushed the boat out with the extensive wine list but there were plenty of cheaper options available that anchors The Guinea as a London pub rather than mingling with Mayfair's stratospheric prices. We tucked into our old favourites like steak, pies, devilled kidneys and puddings that fully live up to their billing.

We stay at the Lansdowne club when in London and have been to the Guinea Grill many time before the pandemic. Always the BEST in service, food, atmosphere and menu. My husband loves it even more than I do (if thats possible!). He would always have steak or pork chop and i would usually have steak and kidney pie. We always ended up with sticky toffee pudding which we shared. He had wine, i had sangria. Since the pandemic i have come alone to london, last year for wimbledon, a friend came with me to the guinea Grill for lunch. He knows it and loves it. This year i went 3 times there. I ate at the bar each time, i had guiness, grilled kidneys on toast, and rock oysters! sticky toffee pudding or cheesecake. Everything super!! Alan, one of the bartenders, was esoecially helpful to me. Best restaurant!!!

I have been to many restaurants in London in the last months and The Guinea was amazing the other night! Very good meat, perfect service and great atmosphere. Stuart was our waiter and the service provided by Stuart was exceptional and very professional. He showed us the house where the late Queen was born in 1926 with a photo of Queen Mum. Have a look at the historic pictures and maps in The Guinea. The pub is historic! Mayfair stands very much for London and The Guinea is a great place to have still reasonably priced quality food. This is my first time trying this restaurant and I must say wow what a fantastic restaurant the food is absolutely out of this world. Ribeye steak is a must with all the sides and trimmings , also sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. I would definitely recommend going to this restaurant when visiting London.

The food was excellent. The banana toffee dessert was probably the best dessert I’ve had in my life. No joke. The beef and Guinness pie was delicious, as was the steak and kidney pie, beef Wellington, and steaks. Service was top notch. It is a small venue so that makes it very loud and echo, but the food was so delicious it made up for it.

Cuts of meat served and cooked to perfection! Definitely an excellent experience that I would gladly repeat. It was recommended to me by an Italian person who has lived in London for years. He was right! Absolutely must try!

The reservation was made to celebrate my partners birthday. He had been looking forward to an evening of good food & wine in a friendly atmosphere. The reality was completely different. I arrived first, I noticed the table was located not too far from the disabled toilet. You could smell a chemical smell in the air. On this evening it had been raining heavily- I don’t know if it caused an effect to the drainage outside but I knew I did not want to be seated there so asked to be moved to another table. Once my partner arrived and was seated. Before asking for his drink order or engaging with us. The waiter proceeded to alert us of when the table would be needed for the next reservation at 20:30 and we should order our mains as quickly as possible. Bearing in mind we were not late, we were 30 mins early. I have never experienced that kind of bluntness from any restaurant before. “How do you think you can get away with applying pressure to eat and go?” I chose to overlook this behaviour as I knew my partner was looking forward to eating there so this was not addressed. His main was a Ribeye Steak for £46 with no sides. You would get a better cut out of a supermarket. The steak was very fatty and partly inedible. The garlic butter which was supposed to melt over the steak was almost frozen and would not melt. The chips resembled McCain’s triple cut chips. My main which was the Beef mixed grill wasn’t great either, this tasted reheated instead of freshly prepared. Shortly after the main course the waiter proceeded to spill my partners glass of red wine on him. Instead of clearing the table and did not apologise for his clumsy error. When making the reservation I had informed the staff member that it was my partners birthday. I enquired if a ‘birthday plate’ could be arranged. I was assured that this could happen. When the dessert arrived like other establishments I’ve taken him to, you will see a decorated plate with ‘Happy Birthday’ wording, a candle or the birthday song being sung. This was not the case at the Guinea Grill. He received the dessert he had ordered then handed a postcard with the waiter stating “it’s your birthday right?” It felt like it was an after thought to the waiter, completely meaningless. Very disappointing. The bill was presented with the service charge added on of nearly £35. I have no issues paying for this at other establishments but after all I had witnessed and experienced - I asked for the service charge to be removed. The waiter could not grasp the concept that how he had acted from when my partner arrived had contributed to the outcome at the end of the evening. The bill was paid followed by a prompt exit - with both of us vowing never to go back again. Disengaged staff will cost this place customers.

The Guinea is a tradition in London. A must-visit for locals and travelers alike. It’s one of my pleasures to go for a quick pint, or a proper steak dinner, they have a wide range of meat cuts and great selection of wine. Today, however, for the first time ever I went to try their Sunday roast. With confidence I can say that it was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had. Perhaps not a surprise given the high quality food they serve, but still, it was amazing to see how they brought their high quality ingredients and service to deliver a super roast experience. Unfortunately didn’t take any pictures, but we tried the Guinea Bloody Mary to start things off, followed by wine, and coffee and desert after the roast. The cheesecake is great by the way. For roast, we had at the table pork belly and the beef, so both great options. We were lucky that we were there a bit late, usually a busy place, so we needed up staying several hours enjoying the atmosphere. Good to go with friends, co workers, or a date.

I thought pies had a ceiling, the Guinea Grill pie smashed through that ceiling.

The food was fantastic. The rib bone steak was so tasty. The wine list is eye wateringly expensive and I had to search for the cheapest wine at £79 ish. It was a great wine. The service was unique but the quirkiness added to a really great night. Will return.

Tucked in a small backstreet in Mayfair lies a gem. Would give 10 stars if I could. Unfussy and excellent steaks in a charming old world setting. I cannot recommend it more. Had the best rib eye of my life and honestly the asparagus was the best I’ve had too. Everyone was so kind and service was of a time long gone. I showed up without a reservation and was truly taken care of. Do visit the restroom to get a better look at the place. So cool! I will be back soon. Cheers ⭐️

Guinea Grill always delivers on the Sunday Roast! We've come here several times and loved the experience each visit. We also seem to be lucky and have been seated in @Nacer's section several times; he is a great host and makes the experience extra pleasant.

Great lunch at Guinea. Even though they are famous for their meat, had a great experience having their pie for lunch. Can be a bit noisy diring lunch hour so not the place for a quiet lunch. But food and service are amazing.

In love with this brilliant pub, with top class food served here. Meats well presented in the chiller, beautiful cuts there, definitely able to find a cut that fits your palate.

Lovely though expensive food: £46 for a steak, £5.50 for peas, £5 for couple of spoons of sauce, eyewateringly expensive wine that STARTS from £60ish a bottle. Great staff. Enjoyable. Though I'm not sure it was, at steak, chips and veg for 3 with one bottle of wine, £275 worth of enjoyable.

ate here as a 4 recently Had the asparagus and duck egg to start -delicious Ribeye for main -equally good. Loved the wine list-had a couple of bottles of Amarone that we spot on. Service was on point with good attentiveness With so many places to chose to eat in London you wont go far wrong with this place

Busy busy Mayfair pub. Always lots of people there but the staff are pretty good at serving everyone with speed. The food at the Guinea Grill is your average pie and mash. It's more nostalgic than great food but I'd always go back for a great fun evening with hearty food.

My partner and I both got sick after eating pie with oyster. We informed the restaurant, and while they investigated, their response focused on the oysters being cooked (as if by a miracle it would make them better by frying them), without acknowledging our illness. It felt dismissive, especially since we both experienced similar symptoms.

Great place with great food and even better service. We were lucky enough to be served by Nacer and with one of us with deadly food allergies, he made sure that our experience was flawless.

Wonderful experience all around. I am somebody who enjoys a good wine and the sommelier working that day, Matthew I believe, did an excellent job of recommending me a brilliant wine to pair with my food.

Got told what I could and couldn’t order…. Wanted a porter house for myself and they would not serve me. Venue was very loud. Second bottle of red wine turned up chilled ( expensive wine ) and when I spoke to the wine waiter he dismissed my comments and said “you are obviously not used to drinking expensive wine” Rude and arrogant!!! Lunch bill was over £1000+ and this is how we was treated….

I really can't fault the Guinea. Whether it's afternoon drinks in the sun, pre theatre bubbles or a fine dining quite like no other, I can't recommend it enough. The bar itself is always a brilliant Atmosphere, and the staff are always so accommodating and hospitable. If you'd like something more private, there are exquisitely beautiful private rooms available for corporate events, or smaller private gatherings - a definite family wedding dinner recommendation for sure! Then we get onto the food - absolutely delicious menu and the steaks are definitely the best I have had in London, with wine to pair with whatever you fancy. Thank you Guinea for always being so welcoming - a big shout out to Cristiano, Caitlyn, Joseph and Vlad - to name a few!

Didn't have food so can't rate it. Guinness was VERY good, old style glass and poured as you'd expect.

Had been there years ago for dining and thought I’d pop in yesterday (Sunday ) for a pint and sausage roll in the bar. The staff were rude and too busy flirting with each other to bother with us. If you’re after a drink try thre grenadier or many others in the area whose staff will look up from their instagrams long enough to pour a pint.

The food was superb; it was indeed an authentic and pleasant experience. Sweetbreads were one of the best I have ever tasted for a long time. Of course lamb chops was legendary, at the level of Keens Steak House in NYC.

All was good but I do think as with all London restaurants the wine etc is extremely expensive And feel that this is off putting

I had very high hopes for a recent visit to Guinea Grill, but sadly was left disappointed. The food was excellent, however service wasn't great and the front of house seemed disinterested to be there (we had a reservation).

Very good food and mostly good service, despite the clattering of dishes next to us by waiting staff. Starting price of wine at £60+ a bottle is a little needless, I know we would have consumed more bottles had it not been, but was it was nice wine at least. Overall, a mostly nice experience.

Had 2 reservations here first was for their Sunday Roast meal and then again on Monday for dinner. The Sunday meal was a bit of a disaster as the Roast Beef was served cold which was a major disappointment as I have had lovely Sunday meals there in the past. Fortunately my return visit on the Monday the place redeemed itself with a lovely cut of Rib Eye glad the Sunday experience did not deter Mr from returning on the Monday. Generally a nice meal is served there.

Not really somewhere to take your wife for a meal for two, mostly tables of blokes that have had too much to drink then going for a bite to eat, food was not bad my wifes beef wellington was excellent mine was overdone bit weird they don’t do a gravy with it as there are a lot of vegetables as sides. service was excellent, overall it was ok but, not wow I must go back. I think you need to read the review again it was (NOT WoW i must go back!!!!)

Flatiron is a cost-effective steak restaurant that is famous among Koreans. This restaurant is relatively less famous and a bit more expensive, but the steak and Guinness are very delicious and the staff is friendly. There is also a sommelier on staff, but the wine prices are quite expensive and are often similar or more expensive than most restaurants in Korea. Since the majority of youngbins are made by famous producers rather than Allbin or Jinttobaegi, is there a need to be a sommelier? That's what I thought. Still, I was satisfied with the service and the staff who tried to be dignified. Of course it was delicious! The bar and pub areas are separated, and I arrived earlier than my reservation time, had a beer at the pub, waited, and then went in.

Firstly, I must compliment the staff who were very professional and really friendly, as well as the wonderful ambiance. The food was hit and miss, while we enjoyed the starters and the desert, the pies were a let down. The crust, which was just a lid, was far too thin, dry and hard. The stew inside was a little watery and far too salty.

Of course, I took 800, enough for two people And chips and spinach 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Delicious steak in every sense of the word. The people who work there are cheerful and the place is elegant. I recommend it to steak lovers. The price is a little expensive, but it is worth it

Have been going here for years and always had wonderful experiences but not this time. Service was awful with very rude waiter interrupting us mid sentence at the end to kick us out. Food was mixed. So very disappointed in a place that has been a fave for 15+ years.

Spent an afternoon in the Guinea, exceptional service from Alan , made to feel supremely welcome, arranged a taxi to the station, I can’t speak highly enough about how they look after their customers and how they make you feel welcome … and the Guinness, beyond exceptional…

The Guinea Grill is always a fantastic destination - the food, atmosphere and wine were excellent, but I must say that we did feel a bit rushed by some of the staff - we had a late booking (8.45pm) and were told a few times that we were the last table of the night - “le dernier table” - a not so subtle hint to hurry up. I also didn’t appreciate our server overfilling our wine glasses in order to finish off the bottle more quickly. For a table spending £900 it’s the small things like that that make a difference. That said - was an enjoyable night but I’d reconsider booking too late in the evening, in future.

Started out well but went downhill as the place filled up and we became less and less important. Steak was overcooked, service deteriorated throughout the meal. Quite a disappointing experience overall.
