Great range of beers and some great Dutch food - the kitchen isn’t open super late though and drinks are a little pricey! I’d still choose it over some of the less interesting pubs nearby

This place is an iconic Belgium bar with friendly staff and great craft beer. They have rotating seasonal selection and were more than accommodating to my wife and I on our honeymoon. I highly recommend stopping in for pregame drinks or to catch local sports.

Visited on a hectic Saturday evening in the run up to Xmas and had a great time. There were 8 of us so we booked a table which was a good decision. The beer list was great and featured some terrific festive 'specials'. Food-wise, the sharing platter is highly recommended.

We dropped in to this pub, as soon as we got to the bar we was served by Wayne very polite the pub was busy and the atmosphere was amazing his knowledge of the beers in bottles and on tap he had some very good customer service was awsome to be there will definitely drop in there again

Lovely pub with a great selection of British and continental beers. The staff are always very friendly.

The stoofvlees only had 1 tiny piece of onion that was so hard it was not edible and it only had 3 tiny slices of beef…. This place does not feel Dutch at all! To make things worse the table had mould!!

The bar promised so much but the service and quality was poor to say the least. We asked for food but couldn't have anything with bread as it hadn't defrosted yet, at 5pm in the evening!!! We had to resort to nachos, which were close to being edible. Go to Lowlanders if yiu want quality Belgium beers, the difference in service and quality was night and day.

Booked for 12 of us for a Wednesday at 7.30. BRILLIANT atmosphere. The dri k selection. Was amazing. Great selection of pub grub with a Belgian slant. So reasonable for London. The staff were wonderful as always.

One of the best bars around! In London it's very hard to get a good selection of beers and this is the place to PLAY... PLUS bitterballen! Omg! Awesome place!

We hired the upstairs bar for a private party. The De Hems team made everything easy from the point of booking, setting up and ensuring all ran smoothly on the evening. It's a great space and the food, drinks and staff all excellent. Highly recommend if you're looking for a venue in the west end.

Had a private party . Enjoyed having the private space . Food was good. Staff friendly . Only fault was no loo roll in the toilets . Otherwise had a pleasant evening

No Dutch atmosphere at all and poor service. They also have no knowledge of the beers they have in their range and Dutch music is not welcome here

Como holandés esperas algo que comer holandés... Me gustaría comer mi bocadillo favorito holandés: Kroketten. Lamentablemente, estos no fueron agradables... Nada de cerveza holandesa, como Heiniken, Grolsch, Amstel... Sí... Las cervezas belgas ya son suficientes... el servicio es menor que hace años y la "comodidad" holandesa + Gezelligheid es un bien como desaparecido... Siento mucho tener que decirlo, pero DE HEMS está fuera de mi lista cuando visito Londres de nuevo

Except for a couple of dutch snacks, there isn't much dutch about the place! But overall, it's still a nice bar! Groetjes uit nederland.

It's OK. We went early and STILL got kicked off a table as it was booked. Not too pleased about that, pubs shouldn't really offer booked tables for drinking. It was a rather expensive place too, three drinks was £40. Insane prices

Extensive beer menu, both bottled and tap. Location is great too. Amazing service by the staff. Had a lovely and unexpected transatlantic conversation with Mr. Sengupta. Must try!!

De Hems Dutch Café Bar is a true hidden gem in the heart of London! The atmosphere is always lively, with a great selection of Dutch and Belgian beers that you don't often find elsewhere. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different from the usual pub experience!

My wife and I visit De Hems every time we come to London...we've always liked it here but the last two times haven't been particularly enjoyable. When we arrived, I went to the bar whilst my wife visited the ladies room...I ordered a beer and said to the barman I'll wait for my wife to return to see what she wants to drink..she came back over to the bar to ask where the ladies room is...the barman then said ..she's not ready to order, I'll charge you now ..and thrust the card machine towards me...very odd...we sat down when my wife returned and she ordered, including some chips.. £8.50 for a teacup of chips...a pint of Duvel is £10.35...fair enough, london prices but still...It used to be great but not anymore. We will not be back.

Sat 24/08/2024:- Visited for a quick Belgium beer (Zot) with afew others on a rainy packed-to-the-hilt evening in London's West End. The bar was heaving because of masses of huge TV screens showing a football match between Arsenal & Aston Villa and football fans had gathered. I've been to De Hems many times over many years and have never witnessed this before. I'm not a footie fan (rugby's my thing) but neither am I fan of sports bars so will probably give it a miss another time. PS ALL the staff were dead miserable!

Popped in on my folks’ recommendation and was served by a lovely girl called Elenna. The beer was spot on, they show all the Eredivisie games which is ideal for me as an Ajax fan, and they even gave me a tshirt!!! Definitely coming back 🙌🏻

So many drinks to choose from and food is amazing!! Making this place my regular go to for sure, nishan especially was super helpful. Thank you De Hems team love you all so much 🫶🫶

Stumbled across this pub whilst walking through China town and as somebody who visits Holland most years I can vouch for it authentic Dutch feel and vibe. The drinks served are exactly what I have in Arnhem. Really lovely and vibrant pub.

Excellent gem of a Dutch bar in Chinatown London, great choice of beers

I was looking for somewhere that did a good pub meal. So I found this place by pure chance. It was a bit late for lunch, but nothing was an issue for them. The tall guy behind the bar (I didn't get his name) was so friendly and helpful. I had a beef stew with a really dark gravy. It was beautiful, although perhaps it could have had a bit more beef in it.

Too bad they don't come to the table. Even though there are 3 people standing at the bar doing nothing. Don't miss the Dutch part Nothing special about this bar.

Restaurant is on the first floor, had tasty stoofvlees dish. Missing from the menu is chicken sate which was previously Featured. Great beers.

Lively Dutch bar in West End/China Town. Amazing range of draught beers, including many from the Netherlands and Belgium. Quirky decor, great atmosphere, and friendly service. Serves food, although I didn't order any.

We got a shirt after we lost the Belgian football match, which was of great consolation

Didn't eat great selection of beers

Used to be Dutch pub who now feeds of the popular image of Amsterdam. Only good thing about it is the beer selection, otherwise nothing Dutch about it. None of the staff is even Dutch… also terrible EURO football event coordination. You can’t book in advance and they don’t even have a screen outside. When it’s full it’s full and no chance to get in to meet your actual DUTCH friends.. unhelpful manager who was simply rude. There are definitely better places to go in London.
