Embankment Cafe in City of London, Westminster

It was a great evening at this fantastic place. Their coffee tastes so nice thanks to the cute bartender Bishnu. All their staff were so nice and kind . Very good service I will defenately visit here again because of the environment. Last but not the least server Hasan was a good man and very good story teller for his good service I had to post this big review.

Viktorija makes the best cocktails.

This used to be a straight down the line cafe. It now seems to have turned into a hybrid cafe/cocktail bar... but it still serves a very welcome cup of tea on a long walk around embankment!

Very tasty salmon. We had a wonderful time with a beautiful view on the garden.

I had a Sirloin steak and Salmon fillet, it was amazing. They have excellent service, Hasan served us. He is a fantastic man. Good place for friends and family day out.

We had the most delightful experience! We ordered the charcuterie board and a bottle of wine, and both were absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly paired, and the presentation was beautiful. I had an incredible dining experience! The pasta was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection with rich flavors that left me wanting more. The cocktails were equally impressive, expertly crafted and delicious. To top it all off, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. I can’t wait to come back for another meal!

This place was a delight!, Quieter and prettier surroundings than some better known wine bars in the area with good food and drinks.

This is a hidden gem! Stylish indoor restaurant and a very pleasant outdoor terrace. Great food, service and the friendliest staff who checked several times from arrival to leaving that we were happy with our meals, required anything else or just to be friendly. Thank you will definitely visit again.

It’s been recently refurbished to a very high standard the food is good tho London prices let down by excessive loud music which is a real pity

This place is cute and relaxing. I had a drink and salad and both tasted well. Service was great as well. Victoria was attentive, friendly, and nice. Would highly recommend stopping here.

Everything was of top standard, nothing too much trouble, the decor throughout was lovely, clean and well maintained. We had an amazing dinner at and the staff were fantastic, warm and welcoming. Especially one of the bartenders Viktorija, her delicious cocktails really kept us going! The food was impeccable, delicious and gorgeously presented. The music was fun and playful and the atmosphere was convivial and inviting. We will certainly be back to celebrate with them again!

I recently visited Embankment Bistro Café with my boyfriend, and we had a wonderful experience. The girl who served us, Viktoria, was incredibly friendly and attentive to our table throughout the meal. She made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel really welcome. Her warm service definitely added to the overall experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

First time in London. All of the bars and restaurants I’ve been to have been subpar service. 0 personality or hospitality from workers. Victoria however, is the most amazing person I’ve met so far. She made our experience here fun and memorable. This is the one spot I’ve actually had a great time being at. That’s all because of Victoria and her sparkling personality. Thanks for being awesome! We’ll be back every single time.

I so wanted to like this place. It’s in a beautiful park in central London. I had visions of a German beer Garden style easy-going quick service Café. It’s not that the staff aren’t helpful and lovely it’s just that they are too overbearing. I don’t need thousands of explanations and checking if I’m alright when I’m just having a drink or a quick bite to eat. There was real confusion with the drinks, and what the difference is between low alcohol IPA and lager (which really confused them for some reason). The range of drinks is very average and pretty pricey. I also asked for a cup of tea but apparently nobody is allowed to have hot drinks after 4 o’clock because, well who knows? The worst offender was the food. Unfortunately, it’s in central London where they don’t have to try so the salad and the burger my friends ordered were massively average and very expensive for what they were. What really upsets me about restaurants and places that serve average food is that it costs no more to cook average food than it does make great food. The ingredients are just the same. We also ordered some chocolate cake. When it arrived, it was clearly a factory made cake, but even even worse, it was completely stale and inedible. This place should be absolutely packed out every sunny evening. Instead, it’s just a very average place to have a drink and eat. I would recommend it if you want a pint or a quick drink (unless you want tea or coffee after 4pm!) in the evening but for anything else, go elsewhere.

Lovely! Perfect spot for a good weather. They serve aperol or pimms pitcher which is amazing for groups.

It’s nice but the burgers are very simple (don’t come for burgers, it’s not worth it). The fries are good 🇧🇪. The breads with toppings are good and fresh (for that, it’s worth it!)

My husband and I are visiting from the United States and, after a day of walking around London, needed a spot to rest and eat. We happened across Embankment Bistro Cafe. We are so glad we did! We had delicious fish and chips, exceptionally friendly service, and a beautiful atmosphere dining in the perfect weather under the trees on the patio. I highly recommend this wonderful gem of a bistro!

Very nice little place in the middle of embankment garden. We enjoy some nibbles and a very good aperol sprits. Service was excellent. Really really nice place to relax and enjoy a drink.

The waiters were good, but the beer is hot and the wine is not tasting how it should. It tastes quite vinegary. We spoke with the manager but he kept saying that he could do nothing do to help us. He didn't offer any alternatives or anything else to fix the problem. Will not be coming back.

Been here three times now and had to complain every time. Once for my Club Sandwich being soggy white bread not toasted and only having a lettuce leaf in one section and for the Aperol Spritz being flat. Second time for the Aperol Spritz being flat and third time - guess what, the Aperol Spritz was flat. The manager got quite aggressive when we disputed it. Not sure we will go back.

Quiet and relaxed at 9:30am Saturday morning, we had eggs Benedict and it tasted great, service was good and polite and on a sunny morning this is a beautiful place to eat or have a coffee. You have to go 🙌🏼

We were able to end the evening very comfortably here and would be happy to come back when the opportunity arises. A nice change compared to the very full bars on the main streets. A really great friendly place on Embankment - loads of room outside for drinks overlooking the park surrounded by beautiful trees. All the staff are attentive including Ed who looked after us very well. Would thoroughly recommend

We had a lovely evening there last week. Very helpful staff and fantastic venue and atmosphere - I would highly recommend.

My twin brother and I had a long day layover in London last week and we were walking around London for the first time when we discovered the Embankment Bistro Cafe! We were immediately drawn in when we saw the lovely outdoor patio which was covered in cute tables with cushioned chairs, bright orange umbrellas, and trees and green grass lining the perimeter. We decided to go inside and were so happy to be greeted by the kindest waiters who were so smily and welcoming!! As we walked inside we saw a large glass case filled with stunning pastries and desserts that were so so excited to try, as well as a menu with all of our favorite drinks! We were seated outside at a beautiful table with super comfy couch chairs, right next to the most colorful summery flowers and in the warm sunshine, we were loving it so much already :) Then our waitress Semin came over to help us and she was absolutely delightful. She gave us all of her favorite recommendations and was so attentive and sweet our entire stay! We tried the Pimms and Lemonade and loved it and then had a few draft beers which were cold and delicious! We also tried the Tiramisu which is my twins favorite and he said it was one of the best he’s ever tried! While we spoke with Semin about our travels, the manager or owner Mez came over to talk with us and we all had a lovely conversation! We were going to walk around London for a few hours after but decided to just hang out at Embankment Bistro Cafe because of how great the vibes were! I recommend this place to everyone visiting and living in London! Thank you so much again Semin and Mez for our very enjoyable morning in London, you made our whole day and we can’t wait to come back!

Spritz drinks are refreshing, the jalapeño poppers sre perfectly spicy and crispy with a melted middle cream cheese. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. Highly recommend

Called in for a cup of coffee after a on the boat to Greenwich only to be told that they stop serving hot drinks from 4.30pm which is absolutely ridiculous for a cafe that also serves meals.

Went here last Saturday on way to evening meal. Nice location especially in summer. Prosecco arrived in plastic cups (very small) for £8 each We asked for glasses but was told they had run out. Plenty of people around being served their drinks in glasses. I know it was the Pride festival but disappointed.

We waited over 30 minutes for our (overpriced) drink order (4 ciders and a mixed drink). When they finally arrived the ciders had ice in (why????) and were incredibly watery, and the mixer was not included in the mixed drink. Who’s drinking straight vodka with a piece of lime at 4pm? Overrated tourist trap, would not recommend. Serves us well for grabbing pints in the Embankment!

Lovely atmosphere. A quiet and green space right in the heart of London. Relatively quiet and spacious, perfect for having a meeting or doing some work, unlike most cafes in London you can actually hear each other. Staff were kind and attentive. Big garden too! Would return.

We stopped here on our way to Westminser and this was just the most adorable place. We went at about 9am on a Tuesday and my group was the only people inside. The benches were so cozy! We all loved our food! The pancakes were a smaller serving than what we expected, but nonetheless were delicious. We highly recommend the blueberry cheesecake. It tastes so fresh and wasn't overly sweet. The English Breakfast is filling if you're very hungry. The chicken and pesto sandwich is great if you are looking for a lighter and healthier meal.

Lovely picturesque, beautifully positioned venue. Stylish interior which benefits from front and rear chill sitting areas, and the staff care that you have a good time. I had a drink and had a lovely experience. Sometimes you stumble across hidden gem which just ticks the box. I will be returning, xx.

£4.90 for a small takeaway latte, tasted fine, but not worth the 25% more paid for it than other cafes in the city.

Friendly staff and nice spot, but awful food. Burnt sausage, concrete inspired bacon and stale bread. The mushrooms tasted OK. Coffee tastes like it came from a machine rather than barista I would expect from the price. Disappointing as I love the location.

Such a great place for a soft or alcoholic drink. The owner is such a lovely friendly guy who wants to make everyones visit there the best it can be. Loads of seats inside and outside - situated in the middle of the gardens. Feels undiscovered so never too busy. Highly recommend.

Some of the staff were really nice and others not so much? we got incorrectly charged for some sourdough and it took them 30 mins to refund us almost like they wanted us to give up and leave? weird vibes. Anyway nice atmosphere and set up but service could do with a few degrees of warming!

We had a nice time here but when it came to paying, the staff member over charged us which we didn't realise until we had already paid. We understand that accidents happen and it was no big deal however we asked for our money back and he went and spoke to the manager about 7 times, both of them keep coming back claiming we had some sourdough when we hadn't ordered that at all.. after over twenty minutes of waiting for a manager the manager comes over and slams £5 down on the table without saying anything, no apology for the twenty minutes of our time he's just wasted when it was their mistake in the first place. The young girl working in the establishment was more apologetic than the manager and apologised profusely for us being sat there for twenty minutes for them to figure out a 5 pound refund. We were incredibly patient for a mistake your staff members made and an apology for making us wait twenty minutes whilst being accused of eating something we didn't is the least the manager could do

We went at the last minute during the week and had dinner inside because it was cold outside, they treated us great, it was very quiet and we ordered some sandwiches and calamari, everything was delicious, very nice place, I would return to take advantage of their terrace

Went in to have a drink with my other half, she ordered a wine and I asked for a coke. The response from the waiter was "excuse me" and acted surprised that I ordered a soft drink. He then made another comment when he brought the drinks, and it doesn't end there. When I came to pay he made yet another comment about me having a soft drink. Personally I chose to have a soft drink and the comments didn't bother me, but he didn't know my circumstances. I feel these comments are unprofessional.

A lovely location and venue let down by the service. Went for brunch on Saturday, excited to visit for the first time - unfortunately at this peak hour there was loud drilling happening within the building. Ordered easy brunch food which took 40 minutes be ready after asking for it 3 times. Perhaps due to staffing levels, but lots of room for improvement on service.

This place is really nice to go, the staff are lovely, the coffee was nice and it’s location is great. But the food really let it down. Ordered a chicken & haloumi salad, chips and ham& cheese panini, two coffees and a hot chocolate which came to £41.20!!! Only two thin chunks of haloumi, the chicken was so dry and clearly supermarket packet chicken. The salad leaves were also very dry and tasted old. So recommend to come here for a drink and catch up but really do not recommend eating here way to overpriced for what it is sadly.

Pitiful portion size of Macaroni Cheese, £12.50 for 5 tiny pieces of cheese deep fried. Three of them were empty and they weren’t crispy at all. It came with a salad but seems like it came from Tesco. Yes there is a very nice view of the garden and you can see the boats going down the Thames but I won’t be coming back.
