Birthday treat. Room very small and smelt, then on changing to slightly bigger one window had been left open in middle of winter and no heating on. Heating finally came on and started to warm up an hour and a half later all be it that we requested somebody to come look at it on two occasions. Have stayed in much nicer rooms in same star hotel and for same rate. Best thing about it is location

Great stay with a few minor hiccups. We had a great stay at The Strand Palace and would definitely return! We upgraded our room upon arrival from a double to a king for £25 per night, which was worth it. The bed was comfy and spacious with plenty of plug sockets either side, good storage, a safe, an ironing board, and a mini fridge that kept everything perfectly cold. The room itself isn't as big as other hotels in comparison, but it's still good quality. The bathroom was nice, towels were soft and absorbent, and while there were some watermarks on the shower doors, it wasn’t an issue for us. One small letdown was being told our upgrade included a coffee machine, but there wasn’t one that we could find in the room. It didn’t bother us since we don’t drink coffee, but I can imagine it would be frustrating for those who do. Service throughout our stay was excellent - friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out (with email options to do both in advance), and great room service with filling meals, however the prices for drinks were extortionate. The WiFi was fast and easy to access, and the complimentary water bottles with refill stations near the lifts were a great touch. Speaking of lifts, they could get quite busy at peak times, but that’s expected in a large hotel. Breakfast was a bit of a mixed experience. When we checked in, we were told it was free because we upgraded our room, but when we arrived the next morning, we were informed it wasn’t, so we paid £40 for the two of us. The food itself was good, but the plates were tucked away in a corner, making them hard to find. Bowls for the fruit would have been nice - if they were there, they were just as hidden! The hotel itself was easy to find, very clean, and well-signposted. We loved the themed floors, each representing a different decade, and the interactive boards on each level were really helpful for navigation. The location was great with bus stops just down the road, a transport museum nearby, theatres and a couple of stations within a 10-minute walk. A nice eco-friendly touch was the £7 voucher for skipping room cleaning, though we didn’t use it in the end. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and great facilities. We’ll hopefully be back at some point.

Horrible room service. Multiple fone calls to reception basically ignored. Food, apart grom being bad tasting, came without side condiments. Requested condiments but had to wait one hour for condiments to arrive, even after multiple phone calls. Next day, one hour waiting for a champagne bottle, even after multiple phone calls, basically ignored. Will never come here again!!!

This hotel is in a great location on the strand, with easy access to Leicester Square, Covent garden, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Westminster, in fact many many famous landmarks in Central London. The hotel itself is very nice , with a lovely reception area, restaurant and bar. There is also Joe Allen's bar and American diner within the hotel. The doorman was also a nice touch, always welcoming when you return to the hotel. I particularly liked the strand palace app, which I was able to make many requests rather than have to go down to reception or call reception. The speed of response to any request was rapid and welcomed. All in all, we had a great stay over two days two nights at the strand palace hotel and plan to return in the near future.

Ideally situated for West End shows, multiple theatres within close walking distance. Caters for GF/V/VE, other intolerances not so much. Rooms compact but to be expected for central London. The room was very nice and spacious, but the bathroom was very small. The room is big enough, so whoever planned the rooms could have given the bathroom a bit more space. Lovely shower with lots of water pressure but not one single hook to hang your towels, which is completely mind-boggling. The hotel is very big and I can imagine how busy it must get in summer (I stayed in winter and it was already busy) yet it only has 3 lifts which meant long queues to get up and down, made even worse at breakfast time. At breakfast, despite there being about 5 staff in the hot food area, not one noticed that there were no plates or bowls at the fruit, yoghurt, and cold meats station. Long queues for the coffee machines. The hotel is very well located. It offers a water refill station on each floor which is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, the rooms are very small and the walls are very thin, so you can hear what your neighbor is doing and what's going on in the hallway. The neighbors with loud music can also be heard. If you open the shutters, it gets cold. There is also no door to the toilet in single rooms. So a room with a toilet or a toilet with a room.

Holiday is perfectly located for easy reach of everything you need in London The following room points DID NOT spoil our visit, however if we were staying any longer than a couple of nights then I think it would have but these are points to be considered when choosing this hotel: 1 - Soundproofing is non existing we could hear doors closing in other rooms to people talking and moving around in the rooms next door and above us. 2 - Shower unfortunately if you are any taller than 6ft then you will need to crouch down in the shower in order to get in 3 - No dressing table or plug sockets near a mirror in the bedroom 4 - Air con myself and my hubby like to have a room at a very low temperature in order to be able to sleep, however the air con doesn't go below 19 degrees, asked for it to be unset and was advise this was not possible and provided with a desk top fan!

Rooms are extremely small (even after paying for upgrade) can hear everything going on in the corridors. Room was dirty. Shower only dribbles out and still manages to leak all over the floor. I stayed here with my children in the family room because it was in easy walking distance of the Lyceum and we were visiting to see The Lion King. The room had a sofa bed as the second bed, so would be a good sized room if you weren’t using that, with the sofa bed out it was smallish but big enough for a few nights without a problem. Both beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet (so nice after the business outside) and very clean. Nice bathroom with a great shower. There were so many things included in the room- chocolates, crackers, wine, soft drinks, and water in a cute red recycled plastic “London” bottle, it felt like such a treat! They seemed to be making efforts in sustainability- we noticed a water refill station, reusable water bottle, and refillable toiletries. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and had a wide selection of choices. We chose room service for dinner which came from the in house restaurant. Portions were huge and the food was really lovely, with plenty of choices suitable for children. Location is great- it’s a quick walk from Convent Garden, the Embankment and Westminster. Staff were friendly and helpful, they looked after our bags for us both before checked in and after we checked out so we could go shopping without carrying everything. I thoroughly recommend a stay here, we loved it.

I’ve slept on military beds (in hotels) and I didn’t mind. But having my head 4 feet away from the doorless toilet and paying about 200£ for this disgusting experience goes beyond my imagination. 3,5⭐️ For the kindness of some people who work there. I’m not trying to act like a malicious person but that was my truly feeling. The hotel is more 3 stars, lots of small things for self care are missing in my room. Our room was standard one for 2 but everything was so compressed even the bathroom super small you feel like everything was done to use every millimeter. I asked 2 time the cleaning lady to bring me products for bathroom she explained to me to asked first to the reception so I’ve done it, but the task wasn’t accomplished. The breakfast buffet was good for me so I give a try for dinner but it was the worse choice 18 or 19 pounds for a salad without any taste not even a dressing sauce. Unfortunately I left with a bitter taste… I’m sorry to write this kind of feedback but unfortunately not my best experience. Ending on a good note the hotel it is well located and lots of attractions around.

I stay at the Stand palace Hotel at least once every 2 months, mainly because of work. This repeat usage of the hotel doesn't seem to count for anything! The location is very practical for both work and leisure activities. Generally, the rooms are clean, albeit small. The reception staff are often dismissive and unbothered by complaints. Don't expect warm smiles or greetings. There are no advantages at all for being a repeat client!! Warm Customer service does not seem to be high on the list? The one consistent positive that I would really like to mention is the excellent service from Mr Nihar who serves in the main restaurant. Not only is he always friendly and extremely efficient, he never fails to remember preferences, or allergies or favourites. He is one person who makes me (and my many other colleges) always feel not only welcome, but also very at home. Please do not fail to thank him on my behalf. I would like to highly commend his services over the last couple of years. Food was lovely and the gin palace well go and find out for yourselves but you won’t be disappointed! We will return it’s that good.

The location is top. The service is also good. However, the mattress and pillows are unfortunately totally worn out. The ventilation in the bathroom runs 24 hours and the heating is quite loud. I wouldn't choose the hotel again.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location. We won't be back for sure.

My friends and I had an amazing experience at the Strand Palace Hotel. Its prime location made it easy for us to access all the attractions we wanted to see. We were especially grateful for the warm welcome we received during check-in. Mary, the receptionist, truly went above and beyond. After a long tour in Europe, we arrived at the hotel early and inquired about the availability of our room so we could rest. Although our original room wasn't ready, she kindly upgraded us to a fantastic room that we absolutely loved. If I ever find myself in London again, I would definitely choose the Strand Palace Hotel without hesitation. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making our stay in London so enjoyable!

Friendly staff and a nice welcome to a formerly scrappy 1960s pub with a boujie face lift. Apart from the usual issue in the UK these days with idiots taking untrained dogs to pubs, it was a good atmosphere with a relaxed group of punters. Football was on the screens so a destination for sports fans. The food was actually really good but it did take over an hour for the mains to come. Oh well, more time for Guiness. As I say, nice staff, good pub in general, worth a go.

Came in for the first time b4 West Ham game as given up on bars in ground, always loved Youngs Pubs, Lamb is my go to in town. Excellent, why have I waited so long. Great Ales, Scotch Eggs Sausage rolls. Nice staff, good service even though very busy. Well done, Excellent.

itsu - Bishopsgate Plaza, London itsu - Bishopsgate Plaza is a fantastic choice for fresh, healthy, and quick meals. Conveniently located near Liverpool Street Station, it’s perfect for busy professionals, commuters, or anyone looking for a satisfying bite in the area. The menu offers a great selection of Asian-inspired dishes, from sushi to soups and salads, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful—ideal for a light yet fulfilling meal. What truly stands out here is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. This level of service adds a personal touch to the otherwise fast-paced atmosphere.
