The best restaurants serving British food in Tower Hamlets London

We ordered delivery and it was terrible. Out of 5 bagels, we received only 3! The salt beef is actually spicy beef. Why? Nobody does it like this! You can do things your own way, but please write it in the description! We don't eat spicy, se we ended up with only one edible bagel!

Highly recommend this cafe, have visited a few times now, sandwiches and rolls are always prepared fresh, portions are ample, it is clean, staff are always friendly and welcoming, one of the best cafes for value for money we have been in since the pandemic

Mediocre at best, food looked amazing but taste was very bland and all courses were tepid at best, first course scone tasted stale, fish course over cooked but still lukewarm! When we told the waiter this at the end, he just replied oh I’m sorry to hear that but how was the service? Would definitely not go back or recommend

The place is very nice and the cats are sweet and taken care of. Prices a bit high (20 pounds entry+ food and drinks extra).

100% vegano rápido - comida - estilo lugar, con personal discreto y amable. Desafortunadamente, la noche que visitamos estaban fuera del “tofish”, que fue la razón principal por la que elegimos el restaurante. Los precios eran promedio, porciones justas, pero lo único que realmente disfrutamos fue el entrante de brocheta de setas.

The ginger blackberry pear wasn’t gingery enough but still tasty. The date and earl grey was delicious! Always a good shout

12 of us in total were able to book a table at E.Pelicci and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The food was amazing, cooked fresh and large portions. The staff (all family) were so accommodating and even during their busy day, took the time out to chat to us all, make us laugh and feel so welcome. The cafe has its original wooden-inlay decor which is stunning. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the E.Pelicci family

Normalmente tenemos un curry, pero el sábado nos apetecía algo diferente. El personal era encantador y la comida era deliciosa. Mi marido tenía una pequeña (?) Pizza que estaba llena de un montón de golosinas y era tan abundante que casi no podía comer todo (5 a la hora del almuerzo!!!!) Tuve la mejor lasaña que he comido. ¡Volveremos!

Went with friends for my first time at Smiths. Faultless service from start to finish. Very varied menu for both fish and non-fish eaters. Food was amazing for all four of us. Can’t wait to go back, would highly recommended

I’ve lit things on fire here. Paper scraps. A spell or two that my flatmates and I cast together. No one said a word. We’ve laughed here like we invented it. Cried into Yorkshire puddings. Written down names and hexes and dumb little hopes and tucked them into the little library. Recently, I spilled about a breakup. Red flags. Bad behavior. (Both mine ofc). And ghosts wearing Rick Owens leather jackets. The cute pub cat didn’t seem to mind. The roast is divine. The staff looks like they’re all waiting to fall in love until after last call. Loosely. But it holds you. Some places try and fix you. This one just hands you a pint and asks follow-up questions.

Este fue un lugar realmente genial, ofrecen una gran variedad de fish and chips y todo lo que hacen, lo hacen con amor y pasión y, lo más importante, ofrecen muy buena comida. El personal es muy acogedor y amable con nosotros. 100 % recomendado

Personal encantador amable y educado y la comida es deliciosa mis hijos realmente disfrutaron y terminaron sus platos tuve el desayuno de los agricultores fue muy bueno gracias ☺️

¡Increíble! Visitó aquí en febrero de 2025 en pareja. El crumble fue increíble con una gama de opciones sabrosas diferentes para elegir. El malvavisco era tan bueno, las natillas eran perfectas y el crumble era uno de los mejores que he probado. Crumble fue increíble! El personal era acogedor y amable y el servicio fue súper rápido. La decoración del lugar es moderna, de moda y funky. ¡Si quieres un postre esto es imprescindible! Muy recomendable! Me encantó.
