Hemos visitado varias veces en Londres. Es genial comer en un restaurante totalmente vegano sabiendo que las ganancias se destinan a ayudar a los animales en el Santuario de Animales Surge. Su tofish con patatas fritas, guisantes y salsa tártara es absolutamente brillante. Sus hamburguesas, guarniciones, platos pequeños y postres también son deliciosos. También hemos probado algunos de sus cócteles maravillosamente nombrados. Los tamaños de las porciones son generosos y siempre estamos rellenos para cuando nos vamos. El servicio es amable, la comida llega rápido y no es caro. Es imprescindible para cualquier vegano que visite Londres.

Unity Diner ha establecido un estándar increíblemente alto para sí mismo, ni una vez he estado decepcionado con la comida o el servicio. Esta visita fue otra experiencia increíble y nos sentimos tan bien atendidos. A principios de este año, gané una cena por 2 cupones cuando asistí a un evento privado en Unity Diner. El vale no indicaba lo que estaba incluido y cuando preguntamos nos dijeron 2 entrantes, 2 tuberías y 2 bebidas - ¡qué fantástico! Para empezar tuvimos trufa de tocino mac & cheese con las bolas de cordero kofta, para la alimentación tuvimos bacalao abrasado en sartén y el tofish & chips. También pedimos una porción de brócoli que nos ofrecimos a pagar, pero el encantador tipo que nos cuidó insistió en que no era necesario. He estado en Unity Diner alrededor de 10 veces ahora y cada visita ha sido un verdadero placer. Las texturas y sabores de la comida siempre son increíbles, este es el lugar para la comida vegana sabrosa y llena!

He oído que este es uno de los mejores lugares veganos para cenar en Londres. ¡Estaba muy contenta con Unity! De todo nuestro fin de semana en Londres, esta fue la mejor comida vegana que tuvimos! La comida es increíble! Tomamos el macarrones con queso y el pescado con papas fritas para la cena. Y un brownie increíble y helado de postre. ¡Fue simplemente delicioso! Cabe destacar: Es un restaurante sin ánimo de lucro, con los intereses destinados a animales rescatados. Una visita obligada - ir para veganos cuando en Londres.

We had an amazing time at this 100% vegan, non-profit restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant and positive, with friendly staff who added to the fun by singing and moving to the music. The food was outstanding – from the fresh salads to the delicious tofu ‘fish and chips’ and perfect waffles for dessert. Plus, the restaurant’s commitment to animal rights made the experience even more meaningful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great vegan food and a positive vibe!

It's not often that I get the opportunity to eat at a 100% vegan restaurant (not that many opportunities in East Sussex, outside of Brighton) so I was conscious that the joy at being able to choose literally anything from the menu didn't cloud my judgment when it came to writing this review. I shouldn't have worried, because the food at the Unity Diner is amazing! It's also a good job that I went there on a date night because it meant that we could try each other's chosen dishes without it feeling too weird. I opted for the pan seared "cod" fillet with parsley pesto, cherry tomatoes, olives and courgettes while my partner went with the steak and (triple-cooked) chips with garden peas. Usually when my carnivore partner and I go to a completely vegan place, one of us gets a great dish and the other not so much. But not this time! If I had two stomachs (or a slightly bigger one), I'd have finished both plates because each dish was bursting with flavour. I ordered a side dish of pan fried new potatoes in a herby chimichurri rub and could barely eat them all as the main dish was satisfying on its own. But obviously I couldn't pass up the opportunity and I almost didn't leave enough room for afters. Paradoxically, for someone with such a sweet tooth as mine, I usually avoid dessert but the temptation of a vegan crème brûlée was too much to resist. We also ordered the salted caramel brownie and my only (slight) disappointment was that it was a bit dry, a usual drawback of a vegan brownie, but the coconut ice-cream counteracted that nicely and it's honestly such a small issue, considering the entire experience, that it's almost not worth mentioning (if it wasn't for my need for honesty and transparency!) On to the venue itself. Stylish decor, clean surfaces, and a chilled vibe with attentive and friendly staff. The place also doubles as a bar, with a selection of hot and cold drinks (try the strawberry lemonade!) as well as a range of wines, craft beers, cocktails and mocktails. As much as I wanted to try the taste of Piers Morgan's Tears (I bet they taste sweet!), we chose a couple of others from the menu and honestly, I could have stayed all night and sampled them all. The decor is heavy on the animal-friendly theme (try the tongue-in-cheek Vegan Propaganda if you fancy another cocktail!) but as an ethical vegan (not just a dietary one), that's fine with me! Will the Unity Diner win over those who just have to have meat with every meal? Possibly not, but then they'd miss out on a great taste experience. It's perfect for a mixed-diet group and heaven for total vegans, so I'd really suggest you give this place a try. Prices are about right for this standard of food in London (main dishes are either side of the £20 mark) but if money's no object or there's a special occasion to celebrate, then it's very much worth it. The discretionary service charge even includes a donation to an animal sanctuary, so you'll be doing good while filling your belly. This part of London (Whitechapel) seems to have a fair few vegan-only venues so it looks like I'll be coming back a few more times. The nearest tube station is Aldgate East, free on-street parking is possible after 7pm, and if you're driving a zero/low emission car then the ULEZ charge doesn't apply (although the Congestion Charge runs until 6pm). Going green has never been tastier!

If you are foreigners, do not come to this place. We went to Unity Diner in London, and as Spanish tourists, we felt scammed. We ordered a steak (£24) and my partner chose a lunch deal for £15, which included a drink, side, and main course. She ordered a small fish and chips. When paying, the waiter ignored the lunch deal and charged us as if it were the full-sized version, despite us confirming multiple times about the lunch deal. Additionally, the 'side dish' was the same small portion of fries from the fish and chips, with no option to choose anything else. It didn't seem like an honest mistake.

I almost didn't eat here because I wasn't really in the mood for diner food. However, I am so glad we did. My husband ordered the "fish" and chips and a I got a burger. I wish I had gotten the fish. It was so good. I have never had vegan fish that good. We also ordered some chimichurri potatoes which were excellent.

I really wanted too be this place, convinced my meat eating husband toy to take me there for a birthday treat. Had the tofu and chips, as did my husband, I asked if I could have garden peas instead of mushy. They both turned up with garden peas. She they went back to correct this I could hear the staff at very loudly saying not what they want both types of peas! This wasn’t the case, I meal with garden peas, 1 meal with mushy peas. The place was empty on a Friday lunchtime. The tofu was bland, I was hoping for something tasty but it really was very disappointing. The chips are excellent though. I won’t be going back.

Excited to try this all vegan eatery but left before sampling the food due to concerns over hygiene. Not only dirty but kitchen staff handling food after wiping forehead multiple times. Absolutely disgraceful and very disappointed.

A solid three stars. Couldn’t give more or less. The food is massively overpriced and both meals were cold. Aside from being cold, the food was nice but not enough so for me to return. The wait staff didn’t check in and ask how they were so we just ate, paid and left. We only went because of the vegan status but there are much better places around the area.

Such a treat to find this place. Never have I had such tasty vegan fayre. The staff were fabulous. In particular Mireia. What a pro! She had such a lovely balance of friendly and welcoming with professional! Back to the food. I enjoyed the ‘tofish’ bites which totally reminded me of a dish called kibbeling in the Netherlands. Not too fishy not to fake just a perfect batter and a great helping size follower by the pan seared ‘cod’ with new potatoes and fresh fresh veggies. What a lovely experience. The ambience is good. There’s attention to detail and the place was packed on a Wednesday night which is another great sign. So wish we lived closer! My non vegan companion loved his 3D printed burger too! 🙏🏽

I enjoyed my visit to Unity yesterday as the main host was lovely and welcoming, the mocktails, main and dessert were all really nice though broccoli spears needed more cooking and the pork was reminiscent of spam. My friend was underwhelmed by the fish dish which I thought looked lovely . I liked the laid back vibe the fact it's a non profit ✨🙏✨and the toilets were well taken care of which is important. I would've liked to be checked on during my stay as we had to flag down staff to order, for drinks and dessert on a quiet Wednesday 2.15-5 but besides that I'd recommend. . .though I may go for the burger next time or the 3d steak Pros: It's non-profit ethos 🙏, Mocktails 🍹🍸 and large tea ☕, Salted Caramel Cake 🍰 Cons: Having to flag down staff., Undercooked broccoli spears. In vacanza a Londra dall' Italia siamo appositamente venuti in questo ristorante per provarlo avendone letto a lungo in rete. Purtroppo si è rivelata un enorme delusione. Su 5 piatti ordinati, nemmeno uno era sufficiente, i maccheroni al formaggio erano una ciotolina di pasta cotta male e condita con una crema gialla senza sapore, gli gnocchi di antipasto da inzuppare nella salsa al pomodoro erano una cosa che in Italia chiunque si rifiuterebbe anche solo di assaggiare. I tre piatti principali erano molto costosi e assolutamente immangiabili (un piatto pieno di patatine con ketchup, maionese e tre pezzettini di finto kebab - una ciotola di insalata e broccoli con spezzettato dell' affettato veg affumicato e sopra tre pezzi di bistecca vegetale immangiabile - tempeh alla salsa BBQ anch'esso che non sembrava nemmeno tempeh e dal sapore dolciastro). Non è cibo cucinato, ma assemblato e messo in bella posa per sembrare scenografico ma il sapore e la sostanza semplicemente non ci sono. Peccato perchè un luogo che si fa promotore di un'etica alimentare sostenibile, sana ed ecologica non puo servire del cibo del genere. Per fortuna conosciamo la cucina vegana da tanti anni e sappiamo che non è questa, ma se ci fossimo approcciati a questa cucina per la prima volta saremmo fuggiti con molti pregiudizi su tutta l'alimentazione vegana da un posto del genere. Erano anni che non ci capitava di avanzare del cibo, è qualcosa che non ci piace e se troppo lo portiamo a casa d'asporto , sta volta è rimasto nei piatti perchè non siamo riusciti a mangiarlo ed è una cosa che fa davvero dispiacere. Nei giorni passati a Londra abbiamo trovato dell' ottimo cibo vegano ovunque, nei pub, nei ristoranti asiatici o indiani, per assurdo il peggior cibo vegano l'abbiamo mangiato proprio qui, in un luogo che dovrebbe esserne il simbolo. un gran peccato.

We hadn't heard of Unity Diner until very recently, and we were excited to try it out. The place was busy (thankfully we had booked ahead). As an American diner-style restaurant, the menu offers a number of burgers and fried classics - all vegan, of course. If you're looking to find a healthy meal, this probably isn't the place to go. However, the dishes we had were tasty and enjoyed by everyone (even the carnivores). The tofish, in particular, is a hit. Next time, we hope to try the steaks.

You won't believe the food is vegan. Being a meat eater previously, I know what I am talking about! It all taste like the real thing. I had a cod fish that tasted exactly like the real cod fish, I was so impressed! The drinks were yummy too! I highly recommend this place and will be returning before the end of my trip here in London ;-)

Outstanding food, we had a burger, pork steak and 3D printed fillet mignon all were outstanding, especially so the fillet minion, texture and taste was lovely. Worth booking in advance as it was extremely busy, which is not surprising considering how good the food is.

We had an amazing evening at Unity Diner. The staff were lovely, it felt very relaxed and the food was excellent. I am coeliac so they were very careful to make sure my food was gluten free. I had the BBQ glazed tempeh, my husband had the pan seared cod and my son had the 3d printed steak. All dishes were delicious. Good choice of drinks too. No need for dessert as we were too full after our mains, although they did look amazing 😍 I love the fact that it's promoted as a vegan diner (not plant based like many others) and the decor is fantastic.

Great ethos, great service, great cocktails, great food! An 'easy diner' vibe full of friendly energetic staff, a menu full of yummy food options. I'm not a vegan, but want to support this establishment as their profits go directly towards animal rights work - including Surge Sanctuary, in the rural Midlands, who provide a safe haven and forever home to abused and unwanted animals.

Both staff members who handled us didn't inform us of the service charge until after paying for the meal, and only then because I enquired about it. We were told that the service charge was mandatory, yet if we were not happy with the service and meal, we could be refunded. It was then explained that the diner was non-profit and that the service charge contributed to the staff's wages. Their statement felt rather calculated and a somewhat underhanded attempt at getting me to agree to the service charge. I'm not a legal expert, but surely a restraunt is obliged to inform customers of additional charges prior to the customer agreeing to pay it. Other than that, the food was great, and we enjoyed eating in a place safe in the knowledge that our food was prepared in a kitchen with no animal products.

I've been here every time I've visited London over the last couple of years and always enjoyed the burgers. Somewhat recently they started offering a 3D printed Filet Mignon which is just otherworldly good.

Fantastic all around! The tofish bites were probably the closest thing I've had to real fish in 20 years, I was really surprised at how good they were. I also had the 3D printed filet mignon which was great, though I'd probably not get the "Diane" sauce again next time as it didn't have a ton of flavor. My cocktail was great as well and the service was friendly. Will definitely be back

The food was really good, not just unhealthy vegan fast food. We actually had two dishes with lots of veggies and very nice vegan pork. The cocktails were interesting. And the service was very good.

I love any restaurant that offers cruelty free options. But knowing this restaurant also supports animal sanctuaries is simply icing on the cake. We both had the Tofish and Chips. Visiting from Canada so can’t go back regularly , but on every trip we make it a point to eat here at least once.

Unity is American food inspired restaurant, the decor is neon with cubist, sleek modern vibes. Lots of gluten free choices, great drinks selection too! Service can sometimes be a bit slow and the foods arrival time too, but the meal makes up for all of these shortcomings. I overall really like this place and if someone asked me in Shoreditch / Brick Lane where we should go for food; it'd defo be in my top 3. However, I've heard a rumour that the restaurant uses rat poison to keep the rats/mice at bay, which isn't inline with vegan ethics imo, so not sure I would revisit until that's resolved - I'm not going to mark the restaurant down as I'd love to hear what management would like to say about all this, pls comment Unity!
