Shoreditch fish and chips in Tower Hamlets

Trovato per casualità poichè non viene citato sulle varie guide ma all'altezza o forse superiore dei più citati fish and chips. La porzione è davvero abbondante, le salse in aggiunte divine (anche di queste la porzione è abbondante, una è più che sufficiente per due) - noi abbiamo scelto quella al curry -, maionese e ketchup vengono fornite gratuitamente. L'unico difetto che posso segnalare che è che, dato che le friggitrici sono vicini ai tavolini, puzzerete un pochino di fritto. Prezzo economico per i canoni di Londra (28 sterline per due porzioni e due lattine di coca-cola).

Estaba paseando por Shoreditch tratando de pasar el tiempo, y buscando una tienda de Fish & Chip, se encontró con este pequeño establecimiento encantador. De mala educación no tener el plato de la firma, así que lo pedí, y por lo que pude decir, el pescado se cocina por encargo, bueno el mío era. Unas cuantas personas más llegaron mientras esperaba, buen pescado y patatas fritas razonables (y adecuadas). Sin duda recomendaría esto a cualquiera en la zona, está muy cerca del pub Brewdog.

Visitado ayer! ¡Muchas gracias! Fui con mi hijo y mi hija y me llevaron. Tamaños de porciones muy grandes, recomiendo pedir desde aquí. Fish and Chips estaban frescos, nada de exhibición o ya cocinados. Lo hicieron todo frente a nosotros. La ensalada César también era muy muy bueno! La salsa de curry era excelente, no el curry barato habitual. Definitivamente es de mayor calidad. El BACALAO se cocinó perfectamente. Mi hija nunca come su pescado pero se lo comió todo desde aquí. ¡Volveré al 100%! Ahora tengo 2 mejores lugares de Fish and Chips en Londres. Este lugar y Masters especial en Waterloo. Creo que esto podría ocupar el primer lugar.

Très bon, poisson très frais préparé minute Ambiance sans prétention mais staff très sympa. Ne pas s’attendre à un restaurant chic mais on a passé un bon petit moment

Never been do disappointed with fish & chips before. Fish was over cooked and almost burnt. And the 10 chips (i counted) were dry or refried. Won’t be reordering.

Not for me. Very oily stained box this fish cooked so that fish batter is dark brown / in my opinion burned and interior fish was too dry. Ends of fish fried to a crisp and snapped off. Chips nothing to write home about. Not for me this place.

Had takeout fried cod and took it across the street to Casa Blue. The fish portion was a nice size, and was flaky and tender, and the batter was fried to a crisp dark brown. Very tasty, and not greasy.

My mum and I had dinner here and we were really pleased with everything. We enjoyed our crispy fish and chips. Both food and service were excellent.

Trevligt litet ställe med ett stort utbud av olika Fish and Chips. Fräscha råvaror och stora portioner. Tyvärr ganska smaklöst. Krävdes mycket extra salt och peppar för att upp smakerna.

Nettes Lokal für typische Fish & Chips. Wir hatten beide das typisch traditionelle Menue. Schade dass das Erbsenpüree und die Baked Beans in Plastikschälchen serviert wurden, alles zusammen auf einem schönen Teller würde es auf jeden Fall aufwerten. Der Fish und die Chips waren tadellos. Richtig lecker. Zusätzlicher kleiner Minuspunkt, es hat ein Bisschen gezogen im Lokal, vielleicht sollte man To Go und das Restaurant ein bisschen besser trennen, Vorhang etc… Preis Leistung war ok. Wir sind für 30 £ beide gut satt geworden. :)

The fish was well made but lacked a bit of taste. How ever the worst was the scam like experience where the over charged and when we pointed it out they became hostile and refunded a low cost item in stead of the correct one. As the waiter just poured mashed peas all over my coat, trousers and shoes without more than a "sorry" we can share that we are not impressed with this place or at least the service...

Plusieurs choix de poissons à paner et le fish and chips est préparé minute. La panure est plutôt légère, faite avec de l’huile d’olive, et la cuisson réussie. Portion franchement généreuse, sauce tartare en sus (1,5 GPD). Service souriant et efficace.

I am not sure if Shoreditch Fish and Chips is new but I don't seem to remember seeing this joint a few years ago. Inside, I love the decor with the London Street signs and red phone booth on the wall. The menu has most your chippie items but they did not have cod roe but then I believe it is going out of fashion these days as people want to eat healthier. Anyway, I settled for a fishcake with chips because I wasn't that hungry. The fishcake tasted like it was made by themselves because the chunks of fish were quite coarse and it was seasoned with herbs like oregano that you don't normally find in fishcakes. Perhaps it was too good for my liking as I was looking for more of an old school style fishcake which is floppy and has less coating. Apart from that the chips were fried to perfection as they were blonde which is how chips should be in a chippy. Also tried a bit of my friends haddock and the batter was beautifully light and crispy while the fish inside was good. Overall, I satisfied my chips craving.

We both had Fish and Chips and they were outstanding. The taste was excellent, perfectly cooked flakey fresh fish in a lovely crispy batter. An excellent experience and very friendly staff.

The food is really bad, chips are soggy, fish watery and oily. Large fish and chips meal comes with baked beans????? Tartare sauce straight from the jar very bad one, mushy peas even worse. The cashier she was very friendly and nice. I do not recommend it unless the place will change its standard. What I would pay for such quality of the food is 6.50 top not 14.50£. Thanks

Ordered fish and chips for the family on Friday night and it was absolutely delicious. My little one can be a fussy eater but she finished the plate! Great quality - I will definitely become a regular customer of Shoreditch Fish & Chips.
