I was recommended to visit here by a friend, and came away fully enthused. My Slimming World group leader wouldn't be so encouraging about it but what the heck! Nice service, delicious, yummy crumble and not excessively over priced.

Absolutely amazing. the best desert place I found in the UK. I tried many places, in the end I had 4 deserts in 3 days. The hot custard is great, but on a summer day, take the Frozen Custard, its amazing.

i think the concept is pretty unique and worth a try if you are nearby. however i don't think it's that fantastic to queue for it, because i remembered that there was quite a lot of people while i was there at the Old Spitalfields Market store.

Daughter wanted to go here and we got lucky. No queue. It’s very popular at times. You pick your fruit, toppings, type of crumble etc. Two sizes available. Very very tasty. Bit of a social thing and it does taste nice but maybe I’m a bit old! Good friendly service.

Very yummy! Simple food made well. A bit overpriced as a lot of things in London but worth it as a treat. I took my children for the first time and they loved it.

Wow what a great concept! I dont even like crumble but I saw someone sitting outside the restaurant and it looked so good. I was not wrong, it was delicious. Staff member was so helpful. The choices of toppings are great. Definitely worth a visit to one of their shops.

I am on a strict dieting plan at the time of this review and have put myself on complete ‘no sweet’ diet, but seeing people enjoying a colorful, eye catching treat at Old Spitalfields Market pushed me to break my pact. This place focuses on crumbles with tons of options, and thrives on it. Nothing confused and confident on what they want to serve you. Just as you enter, the aroma grabs your heart. The ordering system at kiosk is simple yet gives one liberty to choose an item, add-ons and toppings themselves. Kiosks are very common at fast foods these days but seeing it at a market outlet really surprised me. There are so many options to make your crumble at this place. You can go full DIY by choosing your fruit, crumble and topping or you can choose from their favorite items. I ordered Crumbrulee which is fusion of Creme Brulee and Crumble with torched Sugar on top. I chose Apple and Cinnamon as fruit base, Hot Custard as topping. Then on option to choose more crumble, more fruit or 50/50, I preferred more crumble. You can also choose any garnish without extra charge. I chose Rose Petals, Almonds and Crushed Meringue. After paying at Kiosk I waited for my number. I also have to mention the pricing here is very generous. The dessert was prepared in front of me. Just the look of it made me restless to try it. So I took the nearest table in market. It tastes even better than its catching looks. No doubt the reason nearly everyone was holding their cups. It’s must try if you feel nostalgia for Crumble or if you have sweet tooth craving. Even if not, it will captivate you to try it.

Among the crumble options there is a gluten free friendly one, although it may be contaminated. It’s the one with super food granola, very tasty and crunchy. Almost all toppings are gluten free though. No places where to eat in, you can use the benches available in the market, although it will be very cold in winter.

I have normally had a very positive experience at Humble Crumble & have returned and recommended to family and friends. However, upon visiting on Saturday we experienced a very negative experience and terrible customer service from the manager KC. KC spoke to us in a condescending manner as we had asked for extra custard which on previous visits has not been an issue whether we were eating in or taking it away. KC went onto explain that this should not have happened as we were asking for an additional product. We were taken back by this as explained we have never had issues before. KC was unprofessional, condescending and lacked customer care. KC went onto to say we were threatening her as we said she needed to update the website as it has misleading information. Additionally the seating area was closed so we did not have the option to be seated and have additional custard. Additional training needs to be given as we left feeling very disappointed and feel that she was dealing with us differently due to the colour of our skin. When speaking to others she had more of softer, friendly tone.

I was excited to try Humble Crumble as I saw it advertised on Instagram many times. I saw how amazing the desserts looked and couldn't wait to visit. There was a bit of a queue (understandably it was a Saturday) but deffo worth the wait. I had the mix crumble and fruit with frozen custard on top. Absolutely loved it!🥰

For our long weekend in London, my friend and I had seen a lot about Humble Crumble on social media and it was on one of our must-tries! Upon arrival, we headed straight for Spitalfields Market and encountered Humble Crumble right away. It's a little space but a large area isn't required. You order your crumble of choice - with great toppings to choose from - via the tablets set up and your pot of crumble is ready in no time. I chose apple crumble with a 50/50 of crumble and fruit, with hot custard. I could've done with the custard a little thicker, but it was enjoyable and something different to try that is quite niche.

Wonderful Spitalfields and wonderful Humble crumble! Bought a family gift card to cover six relatives last Christmas so a trip to this magical corner of London was finally organised, no train strikes or weather to curb our enthusiasm this time out! The touch screen menu is easy to navigate, the prices are reasonable and offer value , the young ladies behind the counter were friendly, efficient, charming and helpful, nice to encounter proper customer service for a change! Well done all! The crumble itself was joyous and delish! Apple cinnamon with custard and cream , frozen yoghurt and spices abound! As sumptuous as it gets, a decent sized queue highlighting the genius of the crumble concept! We have ten quid credit left which will be demolished soon! We salute you oh great Team crumble 👍🍎👏

The crumble itself was just not good. I’d been looking forward to trying it having heard good things, but I was very disappointed. The fruit was bland and undercooked, it didn’t have that lovely gooey texture but was just finely chopped and pretty tasteless. It’s pricey for what it is, around £8 for a large and there were queues round the corner. The topping was nice though! I just wouldn’t bother with this place again, so many places make a better crumble than here.
