Went with friends for my first time at Smiths. Faultless service from start to finish. Very varied menu for both fish and non-fish eaters. Food was amazing for all four of us. Can’t wait to go back, would highly recommended

Treated to lunch here by a good friend. Absolutely excellent…food, wine, service, view and ambiance. From the front of house, through the table service, this was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We were well looked after. Fresh, tasty and reasonably priced for the set menu, we bought a voucher for friends so they can share the experience. Thanks guys….you really impressed us.

Took our friends and their daughter to our favourite restaurant last Friday the 11th. Staff as usual great as was the food. Early booking but not really rushed and excellent window table. The service and general experience is a step back in time. Never let it change and long may it last.

First time visit but would gladly go again. Service excellent with the exception of one rude “greeter”. Food was superb - I’ve never had better fish and my wife raved over her veal. If I had one suggestion, it would be a stricter dress code - blame my age but I don’t think jeans and sneakers have a place in a fine dining restaurant

We were given a table with a great view. The set priced menu was fantastic, lots of great choices. Food was amazing Best of all was the restaurant service. Raj was our great section manager who came over a few times with really helpful suggestions. Forhad was one of our servers who was a real character. But best of all was the amazing Alix gave some of the best service we have had in London. Quietly attentive I never had to even look and my wine and water were filled, the ice replaced. She answered all of our questions and was genuienly just so lovely. I hope when we go back weget Alix again and I hope she is recognised for this comment you really are lucky to have staff like this

One of my favourite fish restaurants in London. Always good food and beverage too noisy. Good value fixed menu with plenty of choices.

Fabulous menu choice & every course we chose was excellent quality. Service is very good, always a busy restaurant but a great location overlooking the Thames. Vegetable side portion dishes are very generous, so you probably only need order 1 potato & 1 veg dish between 2. We have eaten at their Epping (Ongar) restaurant too & the menu’s are very similar, and quality equally good.

Food was amazing, service was unbelievable. Such a special restaurant and experience, can’t wait to go back.

Haven’t been to Smiths for a long time. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The assiete of smoked fish was lovey but much smaller than I’d remembered. The sea bass special was drowned in teriachi sauce which was unexpected and to be honest spoiled the dish. I should have ordered the grilled sea bass. I love tarte tatin but theirs was far too sweet even for me. Overall disappointing and expensive.

As always, Smith’s of Wapping gave us a wonderful dinning experience. Friendly staff and lovely food added to our regular Valentine’s evening.

Love this place - food was amazing - staff very attentive - my only criticism (but just my opinion) was that the tables of 2 are quite close together - would of been nicer if it was more intimate- it was easy to hear other couple’s conversations - maybe I should of asked for a quiet table/position

As we entered we were greeted by a smile from the lovey Valentina. There was 11 in our party, we were shown to the bar no rushing your drinks before shown to a round table against the window with fantastic views. The service was very attentive and choice of food extensive. Some of the group chose from the set menu and others à la carte. The quality of the food, portion size and presentation very very good. If you haven’t tried Smiths please do, it won’t disappoint.

AS always have had another amazing lunch at Smiths of Wapping ! The food is fabulous and the staff are so attentive - you are made to feel very special. The set menu is very extensive - plenty of choice in fact too much ha ha ! I will be purchasing some vouchers for my daughter in laws birthday as she really wants to go as she has heard so many good things about this restaurant. You simply must try this restaurant ! trust me you will not be disappointed !

Smiths is a very special restaurant. The ambience, service and food are all spot on. The food is always, without exception fabulous!! The service is always amazing. Our waiter was so lovely and very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. The grilled Plaice with clams in a butter sauce was to die for as were the tempura soft shell crab and prawns! Would 100% recommend this restaurant. Although its prices are expensive it’s definitely worth a visit!

Great fish restaurant, probably the best in London. Extensive menu with something for everyone and even if you are not keen on fish some good meat options. Portions especially on sides very generous and the waiter advised us against ordering any more sides as we wouldn't be able to eat it all - he was quite right. Lovely food and attentive but not intrusive service. Location nice with interesting views , can be a little pricey but well worth it . Well worth a visit, you are in for a treat

We enjoyed the set menu lunch option, which had an exceptional range of dishes for a set menu (where most restaurants have very limited options). The price is truly an amazing deal considering the generosity of the portions and the quality of the dishes. Beware if you try to order the 3 courses as you may not have room for dessert! Staff were very attentive and welcoming, and very knowledgeable. The restaurant was lively, but still easy to have conversation around our large round table.

Food was excellent, as was the service. Could not fault a single thing. Price is on the higher side but you get what you pay for. Will certainly be returning.

A great place to eat and the whole experience is just a complete joy. The waiter/s are so attentive and make you very welcome. The tables are set at a distance from other tables so not cramped or overcrowded. The food is absolutely sublime, and a good choice of menu. It is a place to go for romance; large gatherings; family; friends. It was good that another table were slightly excited and talking quite loudly, but the staff kindly requested to tone it down, excellent attentive service for the needs of others. Handled very professionally.

Always good, price always a little to high but restaurant is busy so c’est la vie. Service was good but could have been better . We will return 👍

This will be my second visit to Smith's, and the place truly buzzes with energy. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and the service is excellent and quick. The food is fantastic, with generous portion sizes and a nice selection of wines to pair with the dishes. The prices are reasonable as well. In summary, well done, Smith's! We will definitely be back.

Another lovely dinner at Smiths. We received a warm welcome from the staff and the service was excellent as always. The food is delicious with lovely vegetarian options and the best steak (according to my husband!).

We were warmly welcomed . We had a wonderful table overlooking the river. The waiter was fantastic and knew the menu and was helpful with his recommendations. And to top it all off the food was exceptional. Highly recommended 😊

We had a fantastic three course lunch at Smiths today. All the food was great, portions good and service/ ambience exceptional. My only moan would be the price of the wine. But you can’t beat that view of Tower Bridge! A great restaurant.

Service was exemplary and food cooked to perfection, we generally have the same starter each time we go Tempura Pawn Honey & Soy dressing and is always spot on

Our second visit to Smiths of Wapping and it did not disappoint. The service was welcoming, attentive and friendly. I had the set menu which is really great value for money plus a really good choice of fish. My prawn cocktail was full of prawns and the sauce was very tasty followed by a good piece of haddock cooked to perfection. The only disappointment was that I had no room for a dessert 🤣 I like the restaurant as the tables are spread out (not packed in) and it is very light with a great view of the Thames.

Table location was good. Excellent food as always. The Clams, Sashimi, Halibut, Tuna and Hake were all excellent. Good wine list. Service was not as attentive as in previous visits. Overall, a very pleasant evening.

As always our food was excellent. The staff are very attentive. We were served by Ilex who was very polite and helpful. Cannot find fault at all.

Junior was our waiter and he was excellent. There was a team that looked after us and they were all friendly and attentive. I have been here a few times now and it never disappoints.

Family diner for 4. All have the Sunday roast lamb and it was amazing.

The restaurant has amazing views of Tower Bridge and the Thames. From entering, the staff were on the ball. Attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough for us, especially our waiter Ali, who was superb. He was friendly and chatty, and even though he was serving other tables, he always made sure we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional from the plate of mackerel, herring and salmon, to the scallops, yellow fin tuna and oysters. For mains, we had lemon sole fillets, turbot, and an outstanding red gurnard. This is one of the best fish restaurants in London and I can't wait to come back.

Had an amazing evening for my wifes bday dinner. From the greeting at the door to getting the requested table with a view of Tower bridge, our waitress was so attentive and friendly, she even gave us some recommendations for whenever we visit Japan. Food was amazing, halibut and Skate a nice touch of a bday desert and finished off with a nice few cocktails - Great night , would deffo return and recommend

Full for dinner on a Friday evening but, though some groups were a bit noisy, the tables are well spaced so it's not an issue. Excellent food. Wide selection of wines. Different members of staff tried about fourteen tomes to clear our main courses before one of us had quite finished. All politely, but mildly irritating (given that the position of the cutlery indicated the position ...). Overall excellent.

I came here with my husband after having been to the restaurant for business purposes and again it didn’t disappoint. Fabulous location, great menu to choose from both al a carte or the set menu. Great cocktails, and brilliant service. Not cheap but worth every penny!

Simply the one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Service top class with nothing too much trouble, food exceptional, view over the Thames and Tower Bridge adds to the experience . Not cheap but good value because you get what you pay for. Been there numerous times and not once have I had any reason to complain. Well sourced fish in particular and an extensive choice on the menu. Highly recommended.

What’s not to love? There is nothing about my experience today that I could fault. Opted for the seafood soup as a starter, delicious. And a roast chicken main with all the trimmings, which was faultless. Staff exceptional, ambience fabulous and cannot wait to go again soon.

Lovely meal with my partner, awesome service and I love that we weren’t rushed and were able to have three courses and time to enjoy them. Restaurant was busy and slightly noisier than was comfortable but other than that it was perfect. Monkfish main was cooked to perfection and I had the best Lychee Martini I’ve ever had! Superbly mixed. Service was attentive without being instrusive. This was our second visit and we will be back again.

One order was wrong but was rectified, wine was not refilled promptly. Salt on margaritas was wrongly done Food was delicious, chips were the best, a very good visit.
