12 of us in total were able to book a table at E.Pelicci and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The food was amazing, cooked fresh and large portions. The staff (all family) were so accommodating and even during their busy day, took the time out to chat to us all, make us laugh and feel so welcome. The cafe has its original wooden-inlay decor which is stunning. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the E.Pelicci family

I have been wanting to go here ever since I saw JOLLY’s YouTube video with Sorted Food, and I’m so happy I did. :) Top notch customer service!! The employees that work here are so friendly and make conversation with everyone who walks in. I’ve never felt more welcome. I ordered the full meat breakfast and it was so hearty and delicious! You definitely won’t leave feeling hungry. My sister ordered the pesto pasta, and she enjoyed it. There is an option of adding ragu to the pasta, or you can keep it vegetarian. Then, they will add parmesan and pepper at your table. It’s a small restaurant, but you will feel right at home. It gets quite busy even on a weekday, so be sure to get there early as they only provide walk-ins. Also, they only accept cash, no cards. Luckily there is an ATM right across the street!

An excellent place to enjoy a good English breakfast, just like you might expect when visiting London. We came on a recommendation without knowing the place's reputation, and we had a wonderful time. I reviewed this as @BrekkyBreakdown on instagram; E Pellici EST 1900 🇮🇹 Bethnal Green 🇬🇧 "All of the things" full english 🍳 £14 with cup of tea 💰 Established in 1900, this Italian café in Shoreditch-adjacent Bethnal Green is an absolute institution, offering inside and outside seating and on a glorious sunny day in London I opted for the latter. Mamma Maria has been working here for over 60 years and has been internationally recognised in a recent celebration at the Italian Embassy in London for her lifetime contribution to Italian and British cuisine. The breakfast here is absolutely top notch, all of the classic full English hallmarks are here, with a quality Cumberland sausage, black and white puddings and perfect golden hashbrowns - spot on! 10/10 #breakfast #bethnalgreen #bakedbeans #eggs #sausage #fryup #fullenglish #italiancafe #mammamaria #café

I found E. Pellicci thanks to a recommendation from Italians living in London. It’s a very friendly place. The owner is Italian and a funny man—he makes time for every guest and makes you feel welcome right away. Although he’s Italian, they mostly serve British breakfast. The food was better than average. Simple, tasty, and filling. The warmth and hospitality easily deserve five stars. Just one thing to keep in mind: they only accept cash. So bring some with you. Other than that, I really enjoyed my visit.

It was really delicious and the service was great. The clerk was very enthusiastic. Because eating beans would make me bloated, he helped me change it to hash browns. Only cash is accepted, there is an ATM nearby where you can get money. This was my first visit but it had been recommended as very good. A very popular cafe, E Pellicci has been run by the same family since 1900, on the same site and still has its original wood panelling decor. It is usually to have to wait for a table and today was no different. It didn’t take long to be greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff and four of us were seated at the table and ordering a few minutes later. Light hearted banter from the staff to the customers, some of which were obviously regulars, made the experience even better and the arrival of our food was really very quick. The portion size and quality of the food was probably up there with the best breakfasts I’ve had and the large breakfast is not for the faint hearted. The menu is full and varied with Italian dishes adding to the cafe’s authentic ambience. Upon leaving we were thanked genuinely and with a smile. I would recommend Pellicci’s to anyone and I will be back.

Great food, an excellent Full English. Price reasonable, especially for London - about £15 for a breakfast with tea. The homemade bubble and squeak was particularly good. Love the family atmosphere inside, excellent service. Only downside was the long wait (I got there at 10, and waited around 30mins, by the time I left the queue was about 4 times as long) If you get here early and beat the queues, a great spot for breakfast. Otherwise, you're better off at a different cafe (there are many on the same road)

A Family Affair at E Pellicci's! In the heart of Bethnal Green, E Pellicci's Cafe stands as a testament to the power of family, community, and delicious food. The minute you walk in you're enveloped by its stunning Art Deco interior, crafted by the skilled hands of Achille Capocci in 1946. Run by the charismatic Nevio, Anna, Rosa and their wonderful team, is more than just a place to eat—it's a home away from home. As soon as you step through the door, you're enveloped by the warm, lively atmosphere and the infectious banter that makes everyone feel like part of the family. The food at E Pellicci's is a true reflection of their Italian heritage, all made from scratch, with generous portions and a variety of delicious dishes, from their famous breakfasts to their Italian specials, every bite is a taste of history and love. And it's not just about the food; the Pelliccis are known for their generosity, often surprising guests with delightful freebies! In just a couple of hours, you can feel like you've become part of the Pellicci family! It's a place where strangers become friends over a plate of pasta or a cup of coffee, and where the community spirit is palpable. E Pellicci's is a beacon of tradition in a rapidly changing world, a reminder that sometimes the best experiences come from the simplest, most genuine places. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking to taste the real heart of East London!! "Cherry Bomb" will see you very soon!! xxx

While searching for places to eat on YouTube, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, and it quickly became a must-visit on our itinerary. Even though we weren’t particularly hungry at the time, we had to go because it was on our list. And WOW, was it worth it! This small, family-owned shop radiates warmth and authenticity, reminding me of the cozy, family run spots back home in the South. You can truly feel the love and care in every corner of this place—it’s not just a restaurant, it’s part of a family. The owner was incredibly welcoming, even offering to take us on a tour around the block himself—something I can't imagine happening in the States these days. The food was beyond delicious! We ordered four breakfast meals, and the portions were massive—honestly, even for an American appetite, we couldn’t finish it all. But here’s where the experience really shines: the owner insisted on turning our leftover bacon into sandwiches for us to take along. That level of care and service is simply unmatched. Having visited Italy last year, I wish we had more time to return here for some homemade cooking at lunch. This restaurant is a rare find, and the owner’s dedication to providing an incredible experience is second to none. His hospitality and conversation are top-tier, and customer service is clearly his number one priority. If you're ever in the area, DO NOT miss out on this spot—it’s more than just a meal, it's an experience!

E Pellicci is a must when in the area, offering great value. The atmosphere reminded me of a Trattoria in Italy, it was a real buzz and tables were hard to come by. Service was extremely friendly, polite and personalized. I ordered the Full English Breakfast and the portion was more than generous, keeping me full until dinner. The food was amazing! However, it was packed inside so had no choice but to eat outside (sheltered) on a cold morning where other customers were smoking. Recommended.

Nice but £16+ for brekkie is a bit trumpy and £2.20 soft drinks are also well overpriced

My husband took me here to have my birthday breakfast here. Great atmosphere, staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. The staff and customers sang a happy birthday to me which was a really nice surprise. We were served the best bread pudding as a treat. They serve the best cappuccino and will definitely come back. Thank you for making my birthday special.

¡Volveremos!

The place is very nice and the cats are sweet and taken care of. Prices a bit high (20 pounds entry+ food and drinks extra).

I’ve lit things on fire here. Paper scraps. A spell or two that my flatmates and I cast together. No one said a word. We’ve laughed here like we invented it. Cried into Yorkshire puddings. Written down names and hexes and dumb little hopes and tucked them into the little library. Recently, I spilled about a breakup. Red flags. Bad behavior. (Both mine ofc). And ghosts wearing Rick Owens leather jackets. The cute pub cat didn’t seem to mind. The roast is divine. The staff looks like they’re all waiting to fall in love until after last call. Loosely. But it holds you. Some places try and fix you. This one just hands you a pint and asks follow-up questions.
