I brought my neighbour to this restaurant mid week as he'd mentioned having wanted to go. I've not been since before the fire; but it was exactly as amazing as I remembered. Great atmosphere; great home cooked food.

Brilliant atmosphere, lovely family run cafe, very tasty food. You may have to queue but it is well worth it. We had the breakfast for lunch, was spot on.

This was my sister and I’s first stop when we landed in London. The space is small but atmosphere is very cozy and warm. Definitely felt like a local spot. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and kind. The food and portions were pretty good too! Definitely recommend trying out if you’re visiting London/trying English breakfast for the first time!

Came here as a treat from the wife. Arrived about 11.30 and it was full, but we didn't have to wait long. I ordered the meat pie, chips and broccolli cheese combo, while the wife ordered a breakfast. The teas were nice and strong, cafe tea, always tastes much better. Well the food was top notch and very filling. Even better was the service and conviviality of this place. They are so friendly here and nothing is too much. A great crowd of locals, seasoned Londoners, celebs, and some tourists. Love this place, the decor is fab too. And we love that the place is small, but sharing a table and listening to all the banter is part of what makes this place special. One downside, Nev was having a day off.

Still a homely place for locals as we were the only out-of-town peeps there at opening time but then again, it's not the tourist season in the middle of this cold January month. Family run and all of them were hospitable and friendly. Ned will make the effort to talk to everyone. He let us tried his homemade pesto, which was simply lovely. We will make sure to try the pasta dishes next. We were even given a complimentary side of homemade apple pie. That was so sweet of them.

The lasagne was a warm hug on a cold day. Heavy on the béchamel, would have liked a bit more tomato. A lot smaller inside than I thought it would be. Expect to wait outside for a while before t a table becomes available (so wrap up warm). All the staff were incredibly friendly (they’re a big part of the charm) and did a good job of updating those waiting. Cash only (Barclays cash point just over the road). A a special place in London I hope it carries on for many years to come.

This is a truly amazing place, everything from the venue to the staff and the food, the perfect mix of being in Italy and classic British, I can't recommend this more.

Everything about this place is SUPERB. Food is phenomenal, the staff are extremely friendly and this is testament to how busy it is even in the middle of the week - you may even spot the odd celebrity in there, so be sure to get there early to be guaranteed a table, as it is a small venue. They always go the extra mile for you and are committed to making you a happy customer. 100% recommend - I had the escalope and chips, with the Nutella roly poly and custard for dessert. You will not regret it, trust me. Well done Anna, Nevio, Tony and the rest of the team for keeping up the family tradition of running a fantastic business!

Firstly, great staff. Nice locals/regulars who don’t mind sharing a table in this busy cafe. Really good breakfast. Fried slice was super good. Looking forward to going back for pasta.

Dec 2024 update Nothing changes with this place except we get older, always busy and always a warm North - Sarf banter welcome. Food remains the same excellent quantity and quality - Still cash only believe it run by mafia ( joke) 2023 - Whenever we visit London this family run place is our goto for breakfast. We have been coming many years and the quality of food and service never changes always excellent. Be prepared to sit with other as it is small and compact but very friendly and you will also be subjected some of the Eastend wit and repartè in other words banter. Remember to take your cash as its cash only.

Food was great! Bread was just like the kind I got from my Italian grandmother. You can tell why it’s so busy if the whole menu is this good. Nice covered area to wait outside in case it rains and you can get seated with other people to speed up service. I was sat with a couple who were familiar with all the staff and everyone knew them by name even though they hadn’t been there in ages. A real family feel to the place. Staff were all lovely and friendly which speaks volumes when they were that busy! Only reason for 4 stars was I ordered a coffee but it never arrived. :( Would definitely visit again and will rectify to 5 stars once my coffee arrives.

First time in London and heard about Pellici. Stopped by for a proper English breakfast and hopped in the line to get a table. This family owned restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere to it. The waitresses have such a great charismatic personality to them. Heard one of them joking with the table behind us and laughing with the patrons. Food was good, along with the muled wine.

A true neighborhood cafe! Great(and BIG!) breakfast and AWESOME homestyle Italian! Homey, warm, and welcoming even though it’s as busy as Liverpool Street Station at rush hour with folks being mixed in when seats are empty(you’ll get asked if it’s okay to seat someone next to you and say yes, make friends!). A couple tables, covered but outdoor with little space heaters were perfect and an option if there’s a queue and nobody else wants to sit outside. Easily in my top tier of places I will specifically travel back to London for!

Quite simply our favourite ever place to eat. Owned by the same family since 1900, this East End cafe is full of heart, soul & amazing food. We've been visiting here for 20 years and can't believe that I've still not submitted a review on here. We're great friends with Nev & Anna Pellicci & go out of way to visit them,at this adorable place, whenever we are up in London. Thet serve hearty English & Italian food & their breakfasts are renowned. They serve huge portions at reasonable prices. The constant chatter & banter with customers always makes people smile. If someone's celebrating a special occasion, then Nev or Anna will get the whole caff to serenade you. Their mum, Maria, is in her mid 80s yet still makes everything from scratch each day. Amazing lady. It is a very small cafe and a Grade 2 listed building so it cannot be extended. You will invariably have to share your table with other diners but this allows you to meet & interact with local regulars / characters or even one of the many celebs who love this gem of a cafe too. Another fact - contrary to the rest of the world (and refreshingly,) you cannot use credit or debit cards here. You can only pay in cash. They now also sell a wide range of merchandise including T shirts, coffee, mugs, shopping bags, tea towels etc - again, cash only unless you buy these via a link on their website.

The owner of this place was gentle and friendly. He talked to me, a Japanese tourinst, makes my great experience. I had a really great traditional English breakfast and a sweet hot latte.

Food was very hot & tasty. Lovely english breakfast but the wait outside is insane! Please wrap up if you're planning on going when it is wet and windy. Also, the wait time for the food is long as it is busy inside. If you are short on time, this would not be the place to go.

You must go, fantastic not just a meal it's an amazing experience with a wonderful family ❤️

Pellicci’s is the best caf around. I have never left there without a full belly and smile on my face. Nev, Anna, Irene, Mamma Maria, Tony and the gang are so personable and hospitable. Any time I have visitors over, I bring them straight here. 10/10 food, service and atmosphere.

Every time I go it’s a magical experience. Love the place and especially the staff working there. Feels like a great community and family.

Best breakfast ever. Queuing to get in and certainly on the tourist trail. The place is working flat out so be patient… if you want fast food go elsewhere … if you want quality nosh then here’s you go. Staff are brilliant. I had the classic breakfast and it is massive! Quality all round in the sausage, bacon and egg. No corners cut in the beans. And to top it all some proper tea from a giant teapot in a mug. No you do not get the giant tea pot just a mug full. Been going for over 100 years so they know a thing or to ;-) But It is not just breakfasts food through the day closes mid afternoon. ‘I’ll be back!’

Food was good but dropping a couple of stars as it is a cash only place and there was no communication/signs at all and we had to scramble to get some to pay. Good portions.

30 min wait but worth it, standard cafe food done well but with added history and atmosphere.

I was curious to find out whether E Pellicci’s was going to be any good, or only made popular due to a couple of clips populating on social media. Safe to say that it absolutely lived up to the hype! Both the lasagne and spaghetti with pesto were delicious. Staff, although ran off their feet, were really lovely also. I certainly look forward to returning.

We came here at around 10 in the morning and found a table. When we left, there was a line outside. The staff was super friendly and funny. The food arrived fast and was very delicious - maybe the best english breakfast I had. It was worth the long trip from Kensington.

Whenever I am in London, I stop in, and they ALWAYS remember me and our conversations are warm and friendly-with fellow diners or staff-like I’m there every week. Their service is amazing, as is their made to order breakfast, and homemade bread pudding (which I believe you get free in your first visit!) which they packed up for me along with my leftovers, and a hot cuppa to go! No matter if I am staying down the street on Bethnal Green or across town, I will ALWAYS fit Pellicci in my schedule! This may seem like an irrelevant picture, but after a long day of sightseeing, I am sitting at the tower bridge with the snack they packed for me. Didn’t ask for it, but they did it. This is the place.

A lovely busy and very very popular cafe in Bethnal Green. A friendly home from home cafe. Lovely friendly staff. I don't usually eat fry up for breakfast but this was exceptionally yummy. The beautiful thing was that everyone were welcoming, whether they knew each other or not. I was given a slice of Nutella cake bread when I left which was so good. I can see why they always have queues outside their door.

Visiting NYC and this is a classic English breakfast. Cozy atmosphere, SUPER nice staff. A few tourists were also there, who also probably searched 'best English breakfast', and this statement was not wrong. Cash only, and did not know that. Went across the street to the ATM. Glady will come back and recommend to a friend.

What a place! Nev is the world’s greatest FOH ( what’s more he loves Suffolk…not Ipswich but the rest is great) Brilliant place and we were given a piece of freshly made bread pudding by mama as we left 👌 Best coffee and huge classic breakfast which fuelled the entire day THANK YOU! X

I couldn't have enjoyed this restaurant any more than I did. The English breakfast was phenomenal, very fresh! However the food wasn't the best part. It was the staff and management. Just so friendly with everyone and merry! I know why people keep coming back day after day, for years and years. I'll will have to visit everytime I'm in London.

Went on a weekday for breakfast to beat crowds. This old school eatery serves affordable and hearty breakfast. We had a big English fry up and sausage egg and cheese muffin. The only inconvenience is this place is cash only which wasn't publicized upfront until we asked, so had to leave halfway to an ATM. Service was also a little slow and they forgot my drink order but forgiveable given how popular the place is. The owners are very friendly!

I really loved the friendly and local atmosphere of this restaurant, which is hard to find in London. There were many patrons who were regulars here. The staff is very attentive and kind and one of the cooks (I think he is one of the owners) would talk to everyone and make jokes as well, which helped to make the place even more lively. I had the full English breakfast and overall it was good but the bacon was overcooked and the toast was soggy. The sausage and black pudding were very good. The portions are big which is also a rare find for a breakfast in London nowadays. I think the experience of eating here is a must try. If you are looking for some decent grub in the area I would certainly recommend it. Cash only!

Fantastic restaurant. We ordered the large English breakfast, and it was amazing; the portions were quite generous as well. The staff were super friendly and kind, and they provided a nice experience for us. The only downside is that the space is a bit cramped and crowded, and we ended up sharing our small table with another couple. But on the other hand, it had a nice nostalgic-looking atmosphere and I liked it.

Homely, authentic, Old East end joint. Serving up "caff" classics like full English breakfast, also with dishes that have full Italian flavour to reflect the owners and their Italian roots. Eat anything here and don't forget to have it with their home made pesto..... And I mean everything with this spectacular stuff.

I 100% recommend E Pellicci as the best place to have breakfast in London. Great food, attentive and friendly service, great prices for a capital city. This morning I had a takeaway sandwich and an incredible fruity bread pudding. Tips: Get there early to avoid waiting for a seat Bring cash (cash machines nearby)

If you want an authentic "English breakfast" you've come to the right place. Hosts are also very nice. The only drawback is that you probably have to wait outside for a few minutes before you get a seat.

The best are the waiters and the service. The worst food and price. There is no need to go there to eat a regular meal in a supposedly historic cafe that is today a temple for tourists. They do not accept credit cards. I wouldn't repeat.

My husband used to come here years ago but I had never been. He has been saying he'd take me for a few years now, finally got there. Anna is fabulous. Very funny and makes you feel you are a long lost friend. Although you can sit outside and will probably get seated quicker, you will miss the atmosphere of the inside. We only waited about 15 mins to be seated. Will definitely return.

Best Food & the best Service can’t wait to come back

We waited about 30 minutes to get into the café, but it was worth it. The food was fantastic, and the portions were huge—definitely enough for two adults to share. However, since everyone around us seemed to order their own plate, we followed suit and ended up with lots of leftovers. Needless to say, we were so stuffed and I didn’t want any food the entire day after this breakfast. The vibe of this café is absolutely 10/10. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they genuinely take the time to chat with customers, which made the dining experience even better. As a sweet gesture, the owner shared their nonna’s homemade bread pudding with us, which was such a lovely touch. Overall, it’s great food, great people, and great ambiance. I’d highly recommend this place—if not for the food, then definitely for the incredible vibe!

Pellicci is hands-down the best place to eat in London. The food is DELICIOUS, but this place is an experience. Nev and Anna will make you feel like family. They will joke with you. They will tease you. They will make you laugh. The entire staff is awesome. I love this place! Pro tip: they may seat you with other guests. If they ask if it's OK, DO IT! You will make new friends and it just makes your meal that much better!

El lugar siempre mantiene lleno, pero todos los que atienden allí son muy amables, la comida es simplemente espectacular, nosotros nos pedimos el típico desayuno ingles y las porciones son muy muy generosas, de un solo plato perfectamente pueden comer dos personas.

What a great experience that was!! Went for breakfast with my partner and were welcomed by the fantastic staff. The portions were large and great value for money. The highlight was staff member Anna who had us in stitches the while time. If she gets yo read this, we were one of the 3 "dashers" that morning 🤣. Can't wait to go again.

Great atmosphere, loved the staff and big shout out to Anna who was brilliant. Really enjoyed the brekky but not for the faint hearted as the portions are huge. Nice quality products. Only negative was I should’ve asked for the tea to my taste as mine came like builders!

Have to agree with some of the one star comments. Completely overrated breakfast. You can get the same quality at any pub around London. The service was not organised at all. We came first and ordered two breakfasts, with 2 groups behind us entering at the same time. While us and the other 2 groups were waiting, a 4th group that came in much later got their food before all of ours. The other two groups that entered at the same time as us, but ordered after us, all got their breakfasts before us as well! The owner was really friendly though he seemed to give preferential treatment to regular or important customers. We didn’t get our breakfasts until after the 4th group that came in had already finished eating. We ended up waiting 30-40 minutes in total for two breakfasts.

Nice and friendly service. They serve really decent food and big portions. Totally recommend. The only cons are that it's a small restaurant and popular, so there is likely to be a wait and a bit of a queue. It's worth the wait though.

Wait so what,it’s worth it! It’s cash only. There is no sign nor did the staff mention this. It was very inconvenient to find out at the end of my meal. Not worth the wait. Breakfast was good, but just as good as many other restaurants. I don’t understand the hype about this place. The staff were friendly and one guy was very enthusiastic. Good atmosphere.

Absolutely yes, especially for the people who really enjoy Italian food, but honestly not only. Very lovely personnel, atmosphere is wonderful and friendly, food is delicious (I had lasagne, but the portion of classic breakfast was impressing as well). There is always a queue to them, but to be honest, it is moving pretty quickly. Cons: You can only pay by cash or as alternative transfer to their card. However, worth mentioning - I had only old printed cash money, no bank card to get it from ATM, and they have agreed to take old printed cash money.

Fantastic food, lovely owner. They didn’t offer card payment and the owner was so nice he offered me a meal on the house. Highly recommended and will visit again when I’m in the London.

We ordered the classic breakfast they serve, it took 40+ minutes to be served as they said they were a problem of some sort. It's just that, we were so hungry that time, and this was our very first visit. The guy was friendly and apologized . It's just that, if they know there's a problem, they should approach us immediately for us to know. I actually wanted to follow up 20 minutes in, but my companion told me to wait a little longer as this is an established place. 20+ minutes, I just approached them to ask where our food was then that's the time they told us about it. We waited a couple more minutes and it probably took almost an hour(I think or maybe I was too hungry). Anyways they gave us chips. And coffee was free. There was another person who was so pissed of that time as well--he looked knackered and has a lot of luggage. Food was ok-ish. Usual English breakfast. Nothing much special about it tbh. The front guy was so friendly though. Maybe I expected too much. Anyways, still a good place but not to the extent that I'll crave for it.
