Best breakfast ever. Queuing to get in and certainly on the tourist trail. The place is working flat out so be patient… if you want fast food go elsewhere … if you want quality nosh then here’s you go. Staff are brilliant. I had the classic breakfast and it is massive! Quality all round in the sausage, bacon and egg. No corners cut in the beans. And to top it all some proper tea from a giant teapot in a mug. No you do not get the giant tea pot just a mug full. Been going for over 100 years so they know a thing or to ;-) But It is not just breakfasts food through the day closes mid afternoon. ‘I’ll be back!’

I was curious to find out whether E Pellicci’s was going to be any good, or only made popular due to a couple of clips populating on social media. Safe to say that it absolutely lived up to the hype! Both the lasagne and spaghetti with pesto were delicious. Staff, although ran off their feet, were really lovely also. I certainly look forward to returning.

Whenever I am in London, I stop in, and they ALWAYS remember me and our conversations are warm and friendly-with fellow diners or staff-like I’m there every week. Their service is amazing, as is their made to order breakfast, and homemade bread pudding (which I believe you get free in your first visit!) which they packed up for me along with my leftovers, and a hot cuppa to go! No matter if I am staying down the street on Bethnal Green or across town, I will ALWAYS fit Pellicci in my schedule! This may seem like an irrelevant picture, but after a long day of sightseeing, I am sitting at the tower bridge with the snack they packed for me. Didn’t ask for it, but they did it. This is the place.

A lovely busy and very very popular cafe in Bethnal Green. A friendly home from home cafe. Lovely friendly staff. I don't usually eat fry up for breakfast but this was exceptionally yummy. The beautiful thing was that everyone were welcoming, whether they knew each other or not. I was given a slice of Nutella cake bread when I left which was so good. I can see why they always have queues outside their door.

Went on a weekday for breakfast to beat crowds. This old school eatery serves affordable and hearty breakfast. We had a big English fry up and sausage egg and cheese muffin. The only inconvenience is this place is cash only which wasn't publicized upfront until we asked, so had to leave halfway to an ATM. Service was also a little slow and they forgot my drink order but forgiveable given how popular the place is. The owners are very friendly!

I really loved the friendly and local atmosphere of this restaurant, which is hard to find in London. There were many patrons who were regulars here. The staff is very attentive and kind and one of the cooks (I think he is one of the owners) would talk to everyone and make jokes as well, which helped to make the place even more lively. I had the full English breakfast and overall it was good but the bacon was overcooked and the toast was soggy. The sausage and black pudding were very good. The portions are big which is also a rare find for a breakfast in London nowadays. I think the experience of eating here is a must try. If you are looking for some decent grub in the area I would certainly recommend it. Cash only!

We waited about 30 minutes to get into the café, but it was worth it. The food was fantastic, and the portions were huge—definitely enough for two adults to share. However, since everyone around us seemed to order their own plate, we followed suit and ended up with lots of leftovers. Needless to say, we were so stuffed and I didn’t want any food the entire day after this breakfast. The vibe of this café is absolutely 10/10. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they genuinely take the time to chat with customers, which made the dining experience even better. As a sweet gesture, the owner shared their nonna’s homemade bread pudding with us, which was such a lovely touch. Overall, it’s great food, great people, and great ambiance. I’d highly recommend this place—if not for the food, then definitely for the incredible vibe!

Have to agree with some of the one star comments. Completely overrated breakfast. You can get the same quality at any pub around London. The service was not organised at all. We came first and ordered two breakfasts, with 2 groups behind us entering at the same time. While us and the other 2 groups were waiting, a 4th group that came in much later got their food before all of ours. The other two groups that entered at the same time as us, but ordered after us, all got their breakfasts before us as well! The owner was really friendly though he seemed to give preferential treatment to regular or important customers. We didn’t get our breakfasts until after the 4th group that came in had already finished eating. We ended up waiting 30-40 minutes in total for two breakfasts.

We ordered the classic breakfast they serve, it took 40+ minutes to be served as they said they were a problem of some sort. It's just that, we were so hungry that time, and this was our very first visit. The guy was friendly and apologized . It's just that, if they know there's a problem, they should approach us immediately for us to know. I actually wanted to follow up 20 minutes in, but my companion told me to wait a little longer as this is an established place. 20+ minutes, I just approached them to ask where our food was then that's the time they told us about it. We waited a couple more minutes and it probably took almost an hour(I think or maybe I was too hungry). Anyways they gave us chips. And coffee was free. There was another person who was so pissed of that time as well--he looked knackered and has a lot of luggage. Food was ok-ish. Usual English breakfast. Nothing much special about it tbh. The front guy was so friendly though. Maybe I expected too much. Anyways, still a good place but not to the extent that I'll crave for it.

Visited E.Pellicci in Bethnal Green in East London on 31st August 2024( E2 ), based on "Gary Eats" YouTube review. Initially I thought, it could well be hype but I thought of trying them out as I was in that part of London anyway. NOTE: Cash ONLY. When we got there (Two of us), there were about 18 people in the queue in front of us. It took us about 40 minutes to get a table. Service: Relaxed, Casual, courteous, timely. ( 10 out of 10) They were not rushing people out who have finished their meals even though there were people queuing outside. Food: We had tea, made by brewing tea leaves rather than a tea bag dipped in hot water. (Tea 9/10) 9 out 10 because, it was warm rather than hot. May be the cold milk brought the temperature down. As soon as I sipped the tea, I suspected that it was brewed using tea leaves & the Tea maker confirmed it. A good big cup too. Reminded me of superb Tea I had in a Tea estate in Sri Lanka. spot on. Wife had Bruschetta, it was superb, simple, no fancy additions, top quality ingredients as the tomatoes tasted like they were just plucked from the plant, the olive oil they used must have been a very good quality too. It showed. (Bruschetta 9 out of 10). The bread was very good but not the same level as the Tomatoes or the olive oil. Even the Basil leave were so very nice. Chips, beautiful, not oily, just cooked to perfection. The potatoes were very tasty, they must have been using some good variety of potatoes. ( 10 out of 10) Spaghetti Bolognaise that I had was again fantastic. Not greasy, no unpleasant odour that you sometimes get in some places. The mince meat was perfectly seasoned, the spaghetti was cooked just right, not soft not too hard and a damn good portion too. Overall, absolutely worth the hype, if it was a hype at all. Value : Very good, we paid £26 for 2x Tea, 1x Bruschetta, 1 x Chips, 1 x Spaghetti bolognaise. In my opinion, very good value. Other observation: I saw lot of people ordering FULL Breakfast ( huge portions ), and leaving quite a bit uneaten. Wasting food is considered a sin in many cultures and viewed as bad manners in some others. It could be due some issues with some items, I saw bacon over cooked and almost burnt, Lot of plates with left over mushrooms. Burgers half eaten ....and so on. Since we did not have those items, it is unfair to comment about the taste, only what I observed. My views are based on what we ate and paid for. I have no hesitation visiting this cafe again. I recommend it to anyone to "GIVE IT A GO". Thank you

It was my first time visiting this lovely old school café. I had watched a lot of videos and stories about the origin of pellicci. They have been serving the best breakfast in London as told by many of the people I met. It was a small, aesthetic café with an antique vibe. Speaking of the food, I ordered their "have a lot" meaty full english breakfast and I must say it was sensational. Every element on the plate was a knock out of the park. Special shoutout to their sausage, bacon, black pudding, bubble & squeak and their baked beans. Fantastic and comforting. I also had ordered their Garlic ciabetta with melted mozzarella which wasn't the best I'd had, but didn't disappoint. The staff were super warm and made me feel at home. They greet and treat each and every individual as their family. Full marks for service. I spoke to Anna, who is incharge and expressed how amazing it was to meet her and really appreciated the way she runs the café alongside Nev sir and the other staff members. Extremely passionate about what they are doing. The price was just right. It was better previously. Hope they don't increase it more. If they do too it won't stop people from coming to their café because the quality of food and warmth is as such. Nevertheless students like me will struggle to afford :) Definitely not my last time visiting this beautiful café with a culinary legacy. Thank you for having me guys. Will surely return to try out your Italian cuisine.

I’ve been wanting to try Pellicci’s café for a while, so I finally went in this morning for their full English breakfast. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The ingredients were just okay, nothing special, and comparable to what you can get elsewhere for a lower price. The bacon was inconsistently cooked - overdone in some parts and undercooked in others. The fried toast had an odd, fishy taste, and the mushrooms were bland and lacked seasoning. The tomatoes were unimpressive, and the beans were just beans. On a positive note, the sausages, tea and orange juice were good, the service impeccable with a lovely atmosphere. I may try again if I'm in the area and order from their Italian menu selection.

Better to arrive early because there can be a queue and it doesn't move very quickly because people rightly take their time to finish their very generous dishes. Historic place of a family of Italian origins, everyone is really kind (they speak Italian) and friendly. We tried the full English breakfast and it was really excellent and the portion was very generous at a very fair price for London especially given that we could go there for half a day. If you want a solid breakfast, this is the place to have it. Based on the food quantity we saw while waiting in line, we ordered 3 different items for 4 persons. It turned out to be more than enough. The service was excellent. Although we didn't ask, they gave us a 4th empty plate so we could share the food. Although everything was good, the hashbrowns were our favourite. If it's your birthday and you don't want attention, better not to inform them. Otherwise, they would loudly announce and get everyone to sing Happy Birthday while clanking on any metal container in front of them. The 3 items that appeared on all the dishes we ordered were roasted tomatoes, beans, and mushrooms.

We saw a Jolly review of this place on YouTube so we thought we would check it out. We were not disappointed! They serve the best coffee in London - as Australian coffee snobs, we really appreciated the coffee we had here! We also had breakfast - the Classic Set was huge and great value, and I had eggs on toast as I didn't want a huge meal. The staff really make this place - they are friendly and sociable, they take interest in their customers and like to have a chat with you, and it's easy to see why this place is such a favourite with locals and travellers alike - they treat you more like family and friends than customers.

Arrived and there was a queue outside about 15 deep, took it as a good sign and waited 30 mins to get a seat outside. Placed my order and it started drizzling with rain and my table was getting a drizzle too despite being under a canopy. Without me asking they moved my table inside to avoid getting my food wet. Breakfast was fantastic , went for the all in and literally said Jesus! When it arrived as it was huge. One thing to note is that this place is cash only, something I hadn’t realised and I had no cash on me. Spoke to the waitress and she said it was fine, I could get some cash and come back to settle up. I offered my driving license just so she knew I wasn’t going to do a runner and she waved it away (nicely) saying it wasn’t necessary. Came back with the cash and thanked her. A great place, really friendly and great food. Came in a stranger and left a friend.

Came with my partner and 9 year old for breakfast. Needed to queue but it was well worth the wait. Food was fantastic (we both had the "have the lot" breakfast) but the food is only part of the story. With this place being so popular you could forgive the staff if they just rushed people in and out. However they are so genuinely friendly and chatty and they make everyone feel welcome. They chatted to everyone in the queue, and even handed out umbrellas as it started to rain. Might not sound like much to some but I thought that was a lovely thing to do. It is cash only, we forgot to check but they were happy with us going to get cash out. Will definitely visit next time we are in London. Thankyou all and enjoy your time off in August x

I'm actually looking forward to coming here. It's incredible to own an Italian-British restaurant with family history. The food was delicious, the coffee was delicious, and the service was great and welcoming. They only accept cash. Place recycling plates and food to be served at the dining outlet at the same time. The environment is a bit messy, but within acceptable limits. But just after enjoying the perfect meal, something sad happened. After eating this meal, my partner and I began to feel unwell, experiencing symptoms of nausea, regurgitation, and food poisoning headaches. It was the only meal of the day because we couldn’t eat food anymore . We often had vomiting, headaches and fevers until the early hours of the morning. I never get sick from colds but food poisoning happened. Fortunately, the condition was relieved after emergency treatment the next day. This is a restaurant I was looking forward to, but something I didn't like to see happen. For me, who always writes reviews objectively and truthfully, I would give the overall result half a star. I wish this was just a restaurant incident, but the food poisoning didn't just happen to me, but to two or more people, so I still need to write it down to remind everyone. London is my home and I have never had food poisoning symptoms like this but unfortunately it happened. There may also be concerns about food safety due to the high temperatures in London. This matter is serious. Fortunately, our symptoms have eased. It would be terrible if people's lives were threatened. I hope you see this message and please be aware if you have any questions about the cleanliness of the restaurant. I hope restaurants will pay attention to food safety and hygiene issues to avoid food poisoning incidents like ours from happening again.

It feels like coming home. The service is great, like you're part of the family. The portions are great. We had the 'Have a Lot' and Pancakes.

We went yesterday recommended by a friend from London and it was a success. It is a historical place that has been passed down from generation to generation. The people who work there are very charming and the food is homemade and of very good quality. We will be back 🥰

E Pellicci is an absolute gem in London! This family-run spot is managed by the friendliest, funniest folks around. We chatted with the mom and dad, and their son served us. He was engaging, hilarious, and super attentive. Their brown sauce? Imagine A1 and sweet & sour sauce had a baby. It's that good! The English breakfast was spot on, and even though they only take cash, there's an ATM right across the street. After we paid, the mom surprised us with warm, freshly baked bread pudding. If you're in London and want a killer breakfast with amazing hospitality, E Pellicci is the place. Highly recommend!

I have heard so much about this place, all good, and it didn’t disappoint. My French niece was in town and wanted to have an authentic Full English Breakfast so there was some frowning from my husband and the niece when I told them we must come here. When they got their plate both their faces light up with a grin. We just need to come back and try the rest of the menu! But happy to become a regular as there are not many family-run and authentic business like this left in London.

We were a group of 6 and were accommodated immediately. Ordered the full english breakfast, penne bolognese and pie. Each one tasted amazing. Staff were very friendly and funny as well. They gave my kid some treats and a delicious complimentary pudding as we left. Highly recommended!

Great old school place that has been here for ages. Its a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are great. They leave you alone and there's been no pressure to leave or turn the table when I've eaten there at lunch. Rare find and normally has availability. Perfect hidden gem for a small side plate and a glass of Cremant when shopping in Spitalfields too.

Great food, decent prices, fabulous staff. Our dinner for 8 at Scoff & Banter was excellent. Service was great, choice of food was really good and the quality was fantastic. All food arrived together, all was hot and perfectly cooked and the restaurant didn't have the utterly ridiculous requirement to pre-order food 3 months in advance!! We would definitely go back especially as there is a wine list with good choices at reasonable prices and cocktails that were both delicious and 'correctly' priced. Thanks you for a great evening.

¡Volveremos!

Incredible Sunday roasts and loads of seating. Great place to meet friends on a weekend. Still got the old man pub vibes going on too.
