We agree with my partner, that we had the most awful Chicken Tikka Masala of our life. The rice and the chicken were plain, no seasoning, no taste and the plain boiled pieces of chicken were poured over with a sauce that only vaguely reminded us of Masala. The added a spoon of chutney and sourcream (or maybe Greek yogurt) on the side and a saggy papadam haven't helped it whatsoever. All very low quality, lacking taste and style. A shame, as the building and the lovely little garden deserve more than this.

Popped in with my wife to quickly celebrate her new work contract.... A friendly chap behind the bar brewed 2 nice pints of bitter shandy, a perfect start... But the food... We both ordered chicken tikka masala, a choice turned out to be very bad... It was the worst we ever had in the last 20 years in the uk. Otherwise it is a nice venue.

Went to the White Hart on my own and it was made to feel so welcome by Natasha and Adam. Spent much longer in the bar than I had planned to because of this. Had a delicious Sunday roast. Highly recommended.

It’s a great pub and we are local and regular customer. We come in almost everyday to have few drinks, occasionally food. Saturday night around 10pm came in there was 2 people waiting and slim Asian looking bartender is alone serving. We had to wait to get 2 pint 18 min. Very slow and rude behaviour from bartender. He ignored the Que and even when I said I’m next, he just ignored and went to serve a group of students who came in later. He serve a gentleman next to me Camden Hells and I said to him as well make 3 as we are next. When he came back I’ve asked him, is there any reason you are not serving us. He completely gone furious and start shouting saying I have one pear eyes. And I’ve asked who’s next. I said I’m next. Then he start shouting and telling me to come behind the bar and have a look how it’s feels. his colleagues step in to calm him down and we got served finally after 18 min. Thats very rude as I’m personal licensee for hospitality industry as well. Customer service is big fact in hospitality which stands at the moment zero in here. One person is serving on Saturday 10pm is shocking for a pub with great atmosphere. Do not recommend for great service. The pub itself is nice.

Hadn't been there for 24 years but spent a pleasant afternoon sampling one of the real ales on offer. The chap behind the jump appreciated that being an older person I didn't like grapefruit flavoured beer and offered testers of an unfamiliar brew so top marks there. Didn't eat there so can't speak about the food. Comfortable environment.

Quite a few choices on tap. The garlic fries are amazing and so is the side of the nachos!!

In the area visiting a sick love one .Needed some cheer me up food .What a find food on point ,Fish and chips at its best and sneaky toffee pudding with sweet friendly service . Bravo to you

Had a Sunday roast with beef. The meat wasn't that tender and was not a great cut. But the gravy and Yorkshire was delicious and fresh. 5 stars for the atmosphere, no idea about parking.

A lovely pub - had a great meal in there, opting for lovely pies and a healthy salad. Great choice of beer and wine. Would definitely revisit. Wonderful staff who chased down the road to return glasses left on the table.

Yesterday night I orded a " hunter chicken" from the menu and was one of the most disgusting things that I ' ve ever saw and taste. Was literally bland white tasteless chicken breast drenched in BBQ sauce with "smoked bacon" and a slice of cheddar, on the bottom of the tray there was some watery sauce so they probably used a microweve to melt the cheese and heat the bbq sauce. On the side unsalted fries. I would never serve this kind of food not even to my worst enemy, deathrow inmates probably gets better food to eat.

Absolutely great night for my daughters 18th birthday. Adam and Nat were amazing if you are have a party book this as your venue. Thank you from Steve and family

The White Hart is a gem worth visiting. The location is easily accessible and perfect for a casual drop-in or a planned outing. Fantastic night for my daughters 40t. The staff were so accommodating and approachable. The private room upstairs was just what we needed with table and chairs so people could eat if they wanted to. The food was very good and the staff were kept busy bringing them up the stairs. Everyone enjoyed themselves and said that it was a brilliant place to have a party and excellent position for people to get to. Our barman was so sweet and patient with all the orders,he even showed me where to go and get candles for the cake and turned the lights low for us. A great thank you to the staff and management for all they did to make our night memorable. x Shelagh Conway.

Fantastic night at The White Hart for my daughters 40th with family and Friends. Upstairs in a private room with table and chairs so you can eat your food. The toilets were very clean and fresh. The staff were so accommodating and really approachable they did a brilliant job. The bar tender was so sweet even showed me where to get candles for the cake and turned the lights down low. The food was really good as most of the people there ordered at different times and it was brought up to them. Can't thank them enough for making my daughters night so special. Would definitely use them again.

Nice pub, great beer, lovely food, but really not wheelchair accessible. Step to get in, ramp was brought out for us but it is way too steep and a wooden bar across the threshold stops the front wheels dead before we can get in. The lovely barman and a passing stranger literally had to help me push my elderly friend's wheelchair up the ramp and lift him over the threshold. Do better please!

Pub in a non drinking area great for ak hash on inn

We’ve been going to The White Hart on and off for the past 8 years, however our last visit before yesterday was around 2 years ago. Unfortunately since our last visit it appears that either ownership or the kitchen team have changed as the Sunday roast used to be one of the best in London and now it’s very off the mark. Incredibly dry chicken, watery gravy and rock hard roast potatoes. The sticky toffee pudding also used to be incredible and now it’s a steamed microwave pudding at best. Really disappointing, we won’t be returning here again.

I recently hosted my birthday party in the event space at the white hart and had an amazing experience. Booking was really straightforward for a great price compared to other places I looked into, especially for a Saturday night and how spacious the event room is. The staff was really accommodating and the food we ordered as part of the buffet really exceeded my expectations! Thanks again to the team as I had a fantastic and stress free birthday celebration and all my guests had a great time as well!

Back in 1994 I used to spend many a Friday night here. It has changed lots and has lost the backbar it used to have. Good range of beers and, although I didn't try it, the food looked good. On my visit there was an unpleasant pong emanating from the top of the stairs leading down to the loo, which caused us to move seats. An on tap alcohol free beer would have been good, as the Lucky Saint is priced atrociously high for a bottle.

Really nice food and atmosphere, came on Mothering Sunday and had the roast chicken which was so lovely, I would very much recommend. I have to say the chocolate Brownie was amazing I loved it! Thank you Diana and Zuzia We were served by Jermaine who was very friendly, welcoming and hilarious he made a rainy day that much better.

Lovely corner pub in Whitechapel, good selection of beers, very good food and a nice barman - who needs more? Good to see it was popular with locals and great for conversation and community. We were there during a rainy afternoon - I imagine it's quite a bit noisier at night with (guessing) a younger clientele...I'm personally happy with afternoons and this is a fine establishment for a quiet drink and meal. Recommended.

Showed up at 2pm on a Sunday and they’d already sold out of beef roasts and vegetarian roasts. Pies weren’t bad but the veg that came with everything was microwaved to oblivion. Sides were tiny, £3.50 for three small pigs in blanket. Wouldn’t go back to eat again.

Good, but room to improve . Came with my friend after movies. We have ordered 2 burgers and it was £15 and to add cheese ( which was not included… yea I know) it was more £2… total of £17 for a simple burger. When we get the burger… there was no cheese at all!!!! We called the waitress and she said that probably the cheese had melted. ( yeah… and disappear! 😂) she took the burgers back and came back with a glitch of chews inside. I would t come back… maybe for drinks and vibe… but defo never to eat ! By the way, the waitress was Tracy! Lovely young girl :) thank you Tracy !

Really good gastropub with good beer offer and great service! Atmosphere is fantastic!I totally enjoyed and hope to come soon back! If you are vegy I recommend vegy burger which tasted gooood! Pub it’s close to the main street!

Though there was a decent selection of beers on tap, one of the two I'd tried were flat. The online booking system didn't seem to work either, with a booking made not there when we'd turned up, and staff not so accommodating to help with rectifying that. Prices seemed reasonable on the plus side

EDIT: this is no longer the same pub since it was taken over. I haven't been back since they stopped doing Mile End beers. --- I always love this pub. On a Sunday it has a nice chilled atmosphere and incredibly good roasts. The vegan roast is good too. Of course being a brewery pub, they have a selection of great Mile End Brewery beers, plus other guest beers, both keg and cask. The service is friendly and helpful. I'm pleased this place has made it back from lockdown without losing all of its character and atmosphere.

Lovely pub and staff. My only concern was shifty bloke came in sat down, didn't buy a drink and was really watching everything. Its not nice but I think pub staff should chuck people like that out. I suspect they are too nice / decent. Great pub though.

We had our work festive event in the upstairs function room, it was brilliant. The quality of food and service were both great, we couldn't have asked for more. Dietary requirements were accommodated and lots of people went for seconds which is the ultimate accolade. Great atmosphere and nice decor, we were able to use their kit for a fun quiz too. I will certainly recommend The White Hart for events and their food in general, I will head back in future to try out more of their menu.

Went here for my old man's retirement bash. We used the upstairs area which was very spacious and well decorated. Bar staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was delicious too. Everyone had a great time, all in all a great pub to book out for a party or event, I would definitely recommend.

A great microbrewery pub and the staff ensure both the beer and the service is top notch. Ideal as a night out, or a starter for a visit to one of the local Bengali or Pakistani restaurants. Recommended heartily.

Nice place to have a pint after work. They were quick to serve us despite being a busy Friday evening, they have plenty of tables and a terrace. The lager beer was great! I strongly recommend it. The location is super convenient, a short walk from Whitechapel station. I saw that they serve Sunday roast and they have quizz nights too. For sure I'll be coming back.

Came here for an anniversary as it’s where I met my girlfriend a year ago. Just called and asked for some sparkling on the table and they sorted out flowers and chocs too. Couldn’t have been nicer. Never leave a review but these guys deserve one. Roasts looked banging too, cheers!

Have to get up to order, which is a bit annoying. Roast dinner was nice but lacked gravy and the potatoes were tasteless.

Really nice bright pub showcasing their local area (lots of local street signs on the wall!) Drinks are decently priced and we had a fun pub quiz on the 2nd floor on a Thursday night! Didn't try the food as I'm a bit skint, but it look good.

After a very long day of traveling, we were ready to eat. We came out of the train station and walked into the first place that looked like it had a wide variety of food, drink and plenty of room to seat us. The coffee was good, the drinks were good and the food was good. I would go back here and think it was worth a stop.

Lovely people, almost lost a star⭐, as the loo's are down stairs and both sex according to a friend. Tower Hamlets, this business needs your help, help with updating the need for ground floor toilets, that means planning help and grants for this much needed and well subscribed recreational pub in your area!!! If your visiting Whitechapel Hospital this maybe an issue. The food was delicious, well priced as were our drinks. I believe there were several punters just using the bathroom facilities poss as it was market day, not good for genuine customers. However, would go again, due to the happy friendly atmosphere and good tasty food, a welcome safe haven and meeting point, much needed for the area.

Bad experience. We entered, asked for eat and sit down. When we was ready we asked to order to the guy at the counter but he ignored us several times. We left.

A lovely pub near Waterloo station. The pub had a lovely atmosphere from the welcoming and friendly staff that were willing to accommodate a reservation at short notice. My partner and I wanted a table for 2 for an hour later in the evening, which wasn't a problem at all for them. Upon seating we used the app present in the table QR code to order, a process that was quick easy and simple to understand. We both had burgers, which were lovely and excellently well priced, the drinks were also good, with a small but interesting range of ales on offer, however these were slightly more expensive than you would hope for. However this is a London pub so it's expected. Service was good, although the drinks were forgotten about until our food was delivered. Overall a wonderful experience, lovely food with lots of flavour, and a nice location with a good view of the gherkin from outside. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the area and want a nice meal for a date or the like.

So only been here twice and the what I can only assume is the manager not only remembered me and my drink but told me it was lovely to see me again such a welcoming bar and super friendly I can see me spending alot more time here the food and drinks won't be beaten on price lovely uplifting bar wonderful atmosphere as a local can't see me going anywhere else from now on disabled access toilets available too Jermaine the guy that served me today ultra attentive

A great pub right in the heart of Whitechapel. Service was excellent and the decor is bright and modern.

Good variety of beer, tasty wraps, helpful and friendly staff. Steady flow of customers, but it wasn't hard to get a table and food came quickly.
