White Hart Brew Pub in Tower Hamlets

Though there was a decent selection of beers on tap, one of the two I'd tried were flat. The online booking system didn't seem to work either, with a booking made not there when we'd turned up, and staff not so accommodating to help with rectifying that. Prices seemed reasonable on the plus side

EDIT: this is no longer the same pub since it was taken over. I haven't been back since they stopped doing Mile End beers. --- I always love this pub. On a Sunday it has a nice chilled atmosphere and incredibly good roasts. The vegan roast is good too. Of course being a brewery pub, they have a selection of great Mile End Brewery beers, plus other guest beers, both keg and cask. The service is friendly and helpful. I'm pleased this place has made it back from lockdown without losing all of its character and atmosphere.

Lovely pub and staff. My only concern was shifty bloke came in sat down, didn't buy a drink and was really watching everything. Its not nice but I think pub staff should chuck people like that out. I suspect they are too nice / decent. Great pub though.

We had our work festive event in the upstairs function room, it was brilliant. The quality of food and service were both great, we couldn't have asked for more. Dietary requirements were accommodated and lots of people went for seconds which is the ultimate accolade. Great atmosphere and nice decor, we were able to use their kit for a fun quiz too. I will certainly recommend The White Hart for events and their food in general, I will head back in future to try out more of their menu.

An absolute fab pub. Great food and great service, all the staff were friendly and paid attention to the customers. And the herbal batter fish n chips was lush.

Perfect. Hired the upstairs for a leaving drink and it was brilliant. Would 100% recommend any one looking for a venue. Food was bang on the money and the staff couldn’t be happier to help

Went here for my old man's retirement bash. We used the upstairs area which was very spacious and well decorated. Bar staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was delicious too. Everyone had a great time, all in all a great pub to book out for a party or event, I would definitely recommend.

A great microbrewery pub and the staff ensure both the beer and the service is top notch. Ideal as a night out, or a starter for a visit to one of the local Bengali or Pakistani restaurants. Recommended heartily.

Nice place to have a pint after work. They were quick to serve us despite being a busy Friday evening, they have plenty of tables and a terrace. The lager beer was great! I strongly recommend it. The location is super convenient, a short walk from Whitechapel station. I saw that they serve Sunday roast and they have quizz nights too. For sure I'll be coming back.

Came here for an anniversary as it’s where I met my girlfriend a year ago. Just called and asked for some sparkling on the table and they sorted out flowers and chocs too. Couldn’t have been nicer. Never leave a review but these guys deserve one. Roasts looked banging too, cheers!

Have to get up to order, which is a bit annoying. Roast dinner was nice but lacked gravy and the potatoes were tasteless.

Really nice bright pub showcasing their local area (lots of local street signs on the wall!) Drinks are decently priced and we had a fun pub quiz on the 2nd floor on a Thursday night! Didn't try the food as I'm a bit skint, but it look good.

Visited on the 13th September 2023. Lovely place and excellent food. Staff are lovely and helpful. Would come back if we are ever in this area again. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

Great range of keg and cask beers (some made at their own brewery) and wines. Food choice has improved. Great service.

After a very long day of traveling, we were ready to eat. We came out of the train station and walked into the first place that looked like it had a wide variety of food, drink and plenty of room to seat us. The coffee was good, the drinks were good and the food was good. I would go back here and think it was worth a stop.

Lovely people, almost lost a star⭐, as the loo's are down stairs and both sex according to a friend. Tower Hamlets, this business needs your help, help with updating the need for ground floor toilets, that means planning help and grants for this much needed and well subscribed recreational pub in your area!!! If your visiting Whitechapel Hospital this maybe an issue. The food was delicious, well priced as were our drinks. I believe there were several punters just using the bathroom facilities poss as it was market day, not good for genuine customers. However, would go again, due to the happy friendly atmosphere and good tasty food, a welcome safe haven and meeting point, much needed for the area.

Bad experience. We entered, asked for eat and sit down. When we was ready we asked to order to the guy at the counter but he ignored us several times. We left.

The food was great and the service was good. I especially like the music playing In the background.

A lovely pub near Waterloo station. The pub had a lovely atmosphere from the welcoming and friendly staff that were willing to accommodate a reservation at short notice. My partner and I wanted a table for 2 for an hour later in the evening, which wasn't a problem at all for them. Upon seating we used the app present in the table QR code to order, a process that was quick easy and simple to understand. We both had burgers, which were lovely and excellently well priced, the drinks were also good, with a small but interesting range of ales on offer, however these were slightly more expensive than you would hope for. However this is a London pub so it's expected. Service was good, although the drinks were forgotten about until our food was delivered. Overall a wonderful experience, lovely food with lots of flavour, and a nice location with a good view of the gherkin from outside. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the area and want a nice meal for a date or the like.

So only been here twice and the what I can only assume is the manager not only remembered me and my drink but told me it was lovely to see me again such a welcoming bar and super friendly I can see me spending alot more time here the food and drinks won't be beaten on price lovely uplifting bar wonderful atmosphere as a local can't see me going anywhere else from now on disabled access toilets available too Jermaine the guy that served me today ultra attentive

A great pub right in the heart of Whitechapel. Service was excellent and the decor is bright and modern.

Good variety of beer, tasty wraps, helpful and friendly staff. Steady flow of customers, but it wasn't hard to get a table and food came quickly.

After a day done in Westmi ster, I hopped off the train in order to get a last Sunday roast before I left London, and this place had yummy pictures of one. Turns the oline menu is outdated, and they no longer serve a Sunday roast. I was starving, so I opted for the fish & chips. And it hit the spot. Staff was friendly, the football game was a bit loud, but that's me; I'm a sculler. It's a much quieter sport. 😆

Lovely pub in the East end serving some interesting beers. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and knowledgeable bar staff. The music can be a bit loud inside but they have outdoor drain as well.

Beautiful place, good drink and food. Friendly service. We ordered some starters and believe me, the sweet potato fries are delicious. I loved it.

Very nice place to have a drink

Went here on a Saturday night after the cinema at 11pm as most other pubs were closed. Seems a popular place with a mixture of ages, felt safe and welcomed here.

After a disappointing day at Wembley on a miserable Sunday afternoon we stumbled through the doors of this unassuming tavern. Exhausted and demoralised we sat at the bar with our faith in life ripped away from us by the Argyle. It was only then that the pint that awaited me and the world class service of bar emperors Zoe and Stan completely restored my will to live. I leave this pub a new, restored and revitalised man. I will never have the true words to describe the impeccable service delivered to me by these humans.

Burgers are really great, atmosphere is also nice. Will definitely visit it again.

Very very happy! Myself and my husband popped in on a whim and we’re not disappointed, I had the redefine burger and my husband had the maple bacon - OMG it was literally heaven, someone needs to give the chef a raise! Will definitely be coming back, many thanks again to the team!

I found this pub really nice, they organised different fun events during the week and weekend and members of the staff are really kind and professional. Love the vibe and it’s really a great pub if you want to chill with friends, play some games and have fun, good selections of beers and nice food .

Had a lovely meal there on Sunday I had the burger and it was lovely. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and welcoming will definitely be coming back!

This place used to be good in the old times, but unfortunately, the new reality is terrible customer service and no security, which CCTV DOESN’T WORK!!!

Very bad vibe here, 3 bags stolen from different groups of people and the manager tells us to leave him alone. CCTV does not work - anyone who wants to steal stuff, keep coming here, staff doesn't care about customers.

This pub has sadly been taken over recently and as a result has lost all the charm that made it such a local meeting place and the best pub in the area. They've changed to an American inspired fast food menu which is completely unfitting of the area, the pub, and it's history. The beer range is not much better since the takeover, what used to be a decent varying range of local beers is now what you would find anywhere else. They were right when they said all good things must end, R.I.P. The White Hart

Don’t bother with anywhere else, just go here and you’ll have a fantastic meal with some great beer, great cocktails, and great atmosphere. Bonus points for being dog friendly and looking after our dog!

I had such a nice experience at this pub. The burger that I ordered (which was recommended to me by a lovely girl called zoe, who was really attentive and friendly throughout the time we were there) tasted amazing and it was just a great place to find after a stressful of finding my way around London. :)

i recently visited your pub and was in awe of one of your members of staff; zoe i think she was called. she was so professional and welcoming, and always had a smile on her face. i was very impressed with her and the food as well. deffo reccomend this place for not only the food, but the amazing service from the young girl zoe.

🚇 Whitechapel 🍺 £5.20 London Pilsner ❤️ A superb modern day East End boozer. . The White Hart is located on the busy intersection of Mile End Road and Cambridge Heath Road. The nearest tube is Whitechapel which is a five minute walk away down bustling Whitechapel Road. . There has been a pub on this corner plot in the East End since 1750, It was rebuilt in its present form in around 1900 and is a striking building with a cupola high above the corner door. . This pub has seen many refurbishments over the years, the most controversial was in the 1990’s when all the original etched glass and mirror partitions were removed and the layout changed to one large open plan bar. . The current decor is bright and airy and makes for a cheerful environment. The stand out feature has to be the decorative columns the stand proudly down the centre of the bar. . The beer choice is fantastic, you’ll find local London brews plus imported classics such as Paulaner. I kept it local and had the London Pilsner, my pint was great and reasonably priced at £5.20. The food menu is diverse, there are banging burgers and more traditional dishes like beef, mushroom and Guinness pie. This pub serves hearty roasts on a Sunday. . I visited here with my Son and Daughter on a hot Saturday afternoon back in August. The crowd was a mix of young and old, the majority of punters were sitting on the benches at the front of the pub lapping up the summer sunshine. There is a welcoming feel here and the staff were pleasant. . I asked my Son and Daughter what they thought of the @whitehart_whitechapel . My Son liked the vibe and the beer choice and my Daughter loved the decor, I couldn’t agree more. I throughly enjoy going to this pub, lovely atmosphere, nice friendly staff, great selection of beers, good food & boards games behind the bar.

This place has gone seriously downhill with the new owners. The vibe isn't what it was and the food is terrible, small portions and just not good. We had some pretty bad service despite the pub being almost empty. Only upside is the pints are cheaper than they used to be. Such a shame - used to love this place!

We are going again tomorrow, after a disappointing recent visit after the excellent Sunday roast menu was removed. Told by the friendly manager that they were working to bring it back. If it’s not there tomorrow we will not be returning until it is. Great shame it’s an excellent, friendly comfortable pub easily the best in the area.

Food was okay. Old menu was better quality. Service was great though, the barmaid with the box fringe was very chatty and helpful Will come again

Came in today for some lunch as there isn’t many places to eat around whitechapel. Food was nice and zoe who served us was very bubbly and helped us out with which river town beer to have. Would deffo recommend.

Needs to turn the music down a touch - it should be a great place to enjoy their beers and fantastic food. Otherwise it’s a clean, lovely, lovely establishment. Bring back the pizzas.

15/10/22: the second establishment on our Bethnal Green Ale Trail. Warm and welcoming from the start. Good selection of craft ales. We had a few samplers, but settled for a Beavertown Neck Oil. The sun was shining so we sat outside. Toilets were clean. Inside was spacious and also clean and was a great start to a good day! Victorian decor, British pub grub and a Microbrewery, what more could you want? Standing since 1750, rebuilt in circa 1900. Now owned by McMullen Brewing, who in August 2022, celebrated 195 years in business.

No longer a microbrewery. No longer serving Sunday roasts. I will not be back soon.

This place is a spacious and air pub. A small selection of food is served, though I haven't tried any of it. There is some outside seating but it's by a large noisy and busy junction, so I suspect it's not very pleasant to sit there.

Great pub, but I won't be going there for food anymore. They've recently done away with the old gastro menu - which had a great range of choice, excellent burgers and roasts and some tasty healthy options. Now, it's just another dime-a-dozen generic fast food menu. Everything tastes frozen and cheap. Real shame as the food was the best thing about the pub...

The White Hart Pub. Local treasure of Bethnal Green. Mostly weekend quite busy, especially when the weather great. Chairs & Tables outside for drinks & meals. Great service and staff.
